  1. This is why there will be no movement 1.Darnold/Allen 2. Barkley/Chubb 3.Darnold/Allen 4. Barkley/Chubb Todays development with Denver is great news if we can get there now and take Rosen.
  2. Thats because the top 4 isn't changing. Allen,Barkley,Chubb, Darnold are gone. #5 is the new number 1
  3. Yeah and I'd like to be at the new #1, Denver, and get my pick of who I want.
  4. He could draft Rosen/Mayfield, maybe he doesn't have them rated that high or he thinks Keenum is good. Who knows it sounds like he's weighing the pick vs value.
  5. We have to proceed as if picks 1-4 aren't available. That is the most likely scenario right now. Allen, Barkley, Darnold, Chubb are likely gone by 4. At this point, Elway is deciding whether he wants to draft a guard at 5 or move down and get picks.
  6. The risk is too high, we have to move to 5. If say Miami slipped in there somehow(I know some don't believe it possible) we could be royally screwed for years!
  7. Are you confident that someone else won't jump up to 5 or 6 ahead of us? I mean you sound like you think Denver or Indy won't accept a deal without checking in with us. I'm just worried people think we're going to 2(and it doesn't happen) and something gets done at 5 to screw us.
  8. I would right now. But, then again I'm one of the few who is concerned that things won't work out so swimmingly for us. I also worry we get so hung up on 2 and it falls apart on draft day, after someone has traded with Elway. But thats just me. others are more confident we have all the cards and people are looking at us.
  9. I was criticized for suggesting this earlier, some people seem to believe, we will get a call before they pull the trigger on any deal because we have so much more capital that anyone else.
  10. That's kinda my point, I wish we'd move sooner, even to 5. At least guarantee ourselves one of the top 4 QBs. So your belief about the hand size comment is that they really want Darnold, and that someone else wants Allen (us?) and Dorsey wants to trade down, take his guy at 2, and get a boatload of picks.
  11. Not if they've assumed we are moving to 2 and it falls apart draft day. And, they've already moved out.
  12. I just feel with all the talk about moving to 2 that we could get blindsided. Say for example, that the tradeup falls apart on draft day. Meanwhile someone else who assumes we have a deal to move, trades with say Denver or Indy to get into the Rosen sweepstakes. It could happen.
  13. I get that, but do you not worry about them moving up, ahead of the draft, and doing what the Jets did? It starts to really limit the options and drives the price up for 4 or 5. Or God forbid someone finds a way to 4 or 5.
  14. Usually agree with you. Your contradictory approach may indeed be correct that Darnold is their guy. Lots and lots of media types coming out today saying Allen going #1. Maybe they've been fed BS. I'm struggling with the lack of motivation to smokescreening. He could stay at 1 and have either Allen or Darnold. Why make the hand issue an issue if you're going to draft Darnold at 1? The media will never let it drop once you draft him.
  15. Is anyone else concerned that an assumed move to 6, is just that, Assumed. I'm concerned the Dolphins or Cards jumping ahead of us.
  16. I also wonder if the trip to LA, with the whole gang, wasn't related to the belief they have an actual chance to get the guy they LOVE(Darnold).
  17. That's how I see it as well.
  18. I think you are right. He wasn't exactly glowing of Baker and Rosen. They're nice LOL. So is my puppy.
  19. He is a nice player and reasonably safe. And, that is why Josh Allen is no go for me if Rosen, Mayfield and Darnold are available. You can win Super Bowls with guys who aren't necessarily the biggest, strongest- armed guys, protypical QBs. They seem somewhat similar personality wise too.
  20. 17/24 GMs had Darnold as their number 1 choice, as well as numerous other top end talent judges. I'm willing to give these guys credit that he has "franchise" potential. I prefer Rosen because to me he's the best passer and most ready to play (less projection). On a lesser level, Darnold just seems kinda boring to me. Go Bills!
  21. Will you be upset if the Bills draft him and still feel this way?
  22. What do you know another baker Mayfield thread today! #agents
