  1. Fascinating stuff from NRC. How soon till Rex has an unsolicited opinion about NRC on TV?
  2. Wait, are we talking about McMahon's sanity or the XFL? He certainly knows how to run a business and make a few bucks! Could we be assured of a roster spot for He Hate Me Jr.?
  3. Perhaps their roster is too tight because they are holding out hope in a parity-stricken AFC West? Are they still alive?
  4. I think he's one of the better Rookie coaches we've had. I'm pleased with the direction this is going.
  5. The one "measurable" that matters for MLB in this D is speed. I'll take a 235 pound guy who can fly/has the instincts to get to the right hole quicker.
  6. I'm really hoping they can get some LB help. This D needs a Luke Kuechly and a Thomas Davis. I think we have something in Milano...let's hope they can get some more talent in the draft.
  7. Yes it is. <friendly sarcasm> I learned something from TSW! What a day. </friendly sarcasm> OP - thanks for the list. That's pretty cool.
  8. Now that'd be a great matchup. Were they ever on the same roster? Those would be some awesome team photos!
  9. If the Bills don't make the playoffs, I only need the Cheats to lose their last game of the season!
  10. Kinda cool that he noticed, but on the other hand, I don't think our scouts are primarily focused on a players' Twitter game.
  11. The reason you can't really build a wildcat offense around TT is that he is much smaller than Joe Webb, so his body can't hold up over a full season. Webb is 6-4, 230. TT 6-1, 215. I'm not sure Webb would even hold up with regular use in that type of offense (see RGIII). On the other hand, I would like to see them get him moving more. We certainly don't want him being a pocket QB, but we don't want him to play like an RB either.
  12. The $11 thing isn't actually the Bills - that is from the outfit that is contracted to remove the snow. The face value of the ticket is usually more valuable than the pay, but since the Bills stink this year... I'm pretty sure this is how they deal with this kind of problem in other cities too. As for the field, we have one of the cheaper surfaces in the league. I'm hoping the Pegulas will shell out the money for one of those heated, grass fields eventually. We are still playing in Ralph Wilson's stadium. The system is VERY antiquated. That isn't a terrible thing. When you look at stadium designs, you are basically looking at a 2000 year old design concept. They adapt, adjust and innovate, but you are always working with the original concept. We just haven't done a lot of innovating on the field surface. As I mentioned earlier, I think the Pegulas will do something about it, either here or definitely with a new stadium.
  13. I think that was what made the OPI on the two point conversion so ridiculously surprising - they basically gave everyone full permission to hold all game long, then they called a massively delayed ticky-tack foul on a game-changing score. I was incredulous. It was like "Just give it to 'em" in reverse! He only needs to go 5-5 through the rest of the season AND he gets to kick in a dome much of the season. He'll be ok.
  14. We just need to figure out a way to get Gronk suspended again for Week 16!
  15. I've had this convo with others at some point, but I actually appreciated the job she did in that MNF game. I'm not sure if it was just in response to my distaste for Rex, but I thought she did a good job. I've also grown to appreciate the abilities of Suzyn Waldman who calls games for the Yankees Radio broadcast. I HATE the Yankees, but that's what's on around here, so I'll hear her work from time to time. Mowins reminds me of Waldman's competence and poise. I'm looking forward to hearing Mowins call a game with a person, not a clown! It's funny how disparate the reactions are to various announcers! I'm not saying you are right or wrong...just fascinating to observe our diverse tastes.
  16. He was pretty slow getting up after he was knocked down. It was a tiring night for him. His age is starting to show. You can see it on some of the throws that come up short.
  17. It's just stupid that SVP was forced to interview them instead of Gase and Cutler.
  18. I have to agree. A bad owner is like Donald Stirling or some other jerk that is merely squeezing the goose to get more gold. The Pegulas have been very willing to spend money and that is the contrast with Ralph. Ralph was reluctant to spend on many areas that impact a franchise. The Pegulas appear to be willing to invest heavily. That will pay off over time, especially if they trust and retain good football people.
  19. Polian...he's the first domino to fall. Once he was gone, all the others would eventually tumble.
  20. He does have some old AFC Central - Rust Belt kind of credibility.
