  1. Tate is way more valuable than Clay, despite the flashy punt ret. TD.
  2. One of the weakest holding calls I've ever seen. It was interesting to see how often Hughes got held like that - without the flag of course.
  3. The most discouraging aspect of our early success and NE's early defensive difficulty was our schedule. You could predict that they'd be firing on all cylinders by the time we matched up. I thought it was ironic that Gumbel/Green complimented Dawkins just in time for the obligatory jinx-holding call.
  4. I didn't make a comparison. Ability is dependent on availability. I agree that Gaines and Matthews' absences have been frustrating...just like Sammy's were in years past.
  5. Let's just argue about who made that pick. I'll blame Whaley because I always blamed Nix for EJ! OK, kidding aside. I was shocked to see Watson's start. I thought he was picked in the top 5. When I saw that he was there at 10, I couldn't believe it. He will be the "Russell Wilson" of this regime.
  6. I think this is where the discussion should end. It won't, but it is a fair and accurate description.
  7. Next years marketing slogan: "Kickin' it!"
  8. The N. Ill. game was crazy. It looked like the D was just flat out winded. Felt bad for them because it looked like they should have pulled it out.
  9. It worked for Alex Smith earlier this year. Now he's back to Captain Checkdown. Hopefully TT can learn to sling it and risk a turnover, but it seems like that'll be a hard lesson to learn.
  10. Always! Now, what was the context of the question?
  11. Are you kidding...Tyrod will cost us $18million next year. Dump that into good players to surround your rookie QB. What could you do with an extra $18 million in your O-line?
  12. He seems to be good at stepping up to the trainer's table, that's about it.
  13. I predict that TB* will bring back the "43 is the mike" just to taunt us. That will be the audible for whenever they want to run between the tackles for an 8-12 yard gain.
  14. Hmm...perhaps the draft.
  15. Part of the problem with StubHub is supply and demand. Once supply opens up (70,000+ seats), then demand goes down, especially in the secondary markets. Last year I bought six tickets to the Bills Dolphins game for less than $150. The tickets will always be at a premium when the teams are rolling. But LAChargers' situation right now is pretty weird.
  16. We also used to have The Guy at punter for a decade, but I don't think that was getting us anywhere either!
  17. The most startling thing about those seasons is not the Bills record, but the TWO strikes! Maybe Roger has earned a raise from the owners. Keeping the gravy train rollin' appears to be pretty important!
  18. Good news. They didn't take a 747-400 to KC, maybe that jet they took to LA was bad luck. We can hope that the disaster at StubHub was just bad luck, right?
  19. The Transcript and Translation were priceless.
  20. Not fair...that's what I was gonna say. We are definitely snake bit this year. Gotta hope it evens out when we have more talent!
  21. 1-3 or 0-4. I don't think we win more than 1 more game this year. I think we'll have more than 10 guys hit IR by the end of this year. This year is gonna end ugly. Hopefully we'll be in a better spot to pick up the necessary pieces in the draft.
  22. Hey, that's a great idea. Let's sign tom...nevermind. Gotta go through the draft. All the incentive in the NFL is built on getting your own guy in the draft.
  23. I think it is a combination of these things... 1. You can't count on turnover differential to hold out unless you are truly special. 2. Dareus did make a difference, especially in run defense. 3. Lots of time on the field. It is not just the physical time on the field. It is also the mental burden of doubting your offense. It leads to bad morale and lowered performance.
  24. Glad I didn't start a whole thread! Maybe we should steal "Dilly Dilly" and make it "Billy Billy"
  25. My sons have begun quoting that Bud Light commercial - The Pit of Misery - as a metaphor for Bills Fandom! Dilly Dilly!
