He may never have turned into an elite QB, or even upper echelon...but I think there is a fair argument to be made that he really wasn't given a great chance in Buffalo. He got 16 starts spread out over 4 years...he started out promising enough, got hurt in week 5 of his rookie season, with a .500 record, and never really had any coach that was committed to letting him grow into the job, after that. And, lets not lose sight of the fact that it wasn't intended for him to start right out of the chute. Again, not necessarily blaming Marrone, or Rex, just pointing out that he had a very stunted developmental path with the Bills. I think he needed experience, and repetition. I think he was a good dude too.

But then there is this...inflation at a six year high.. http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-biz-inflation-rates-20180713-story.html "Prices rose at their highest clip since 2012 over the past year, the Labor Department reported Thursday. The 2.9 percent inflation for the 12-month period ending in June is a sign of a growing economy, but it's also a painful development for workers, whose tepid wage gains have failed to keep pace with the rising prices."

I point to that video as the moment that music videos "jumped the shark" so to speak, for me. I hate this video, and by extension, this song. I don't specifically remember the first 15 seconds of the video, but given your description, I assume "sledgehammer" is euphamism for screwing....I hate this video so much though, I don't want to look...

No...that was my point. I suspect Coen doesn't really believe that either.. -

He desreves a purple heart like Joe Arrapaio deserves a presidential pardon...or Dwight and Steven Hammond, for that matter. -
Twitter Confirms What I Always Suspected
Buftex replied to The_Dude's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The article says they are removing locked accounts...and further explains: "Twitter noted on Wednesday locked accounts are different from spam and bot accounts — two other issues that have plagued the platform — in that they were usually started by “real people,” but the company is unable to verify they’re still being run by their initial creators." -
I hope I am shocked. I wouldn't be opposed to Brandon Oliver... https://billswire.usatoday.com/2018/07/13/report-buffalo-bills-have-interest-in-former-ub-running-back-branden-oliver-university-at-buffalo/

All that you say makes sense...but I think you are wrong if you think the Bills aren't looking at their options. Short of this woman confesssing that all of this was just a ruise, I will be pretty shocked if LeSean McCoy is a Buffalo Bill this coming season.

Can't stand either, but Cowherd, to me, is the worst national sports guy out there...even if his predictions turn out to be right, I can't stand him. He is the reason I mostly stopped listening to sports talk radio in heavy volume. He represents everything I loathe about current sports media.

What Is The Worst Bills Game You've Attended
Buftex replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Believe it or not, I have that one (Redskins) on DVD! It was a terrible era...pre-Chuck Knox. Not that it means a lot, but I have 5 full games on DVD from 1977 and 1978...in those games, the Bills scored a total of 13 points, and were shut out 3 times...the kids who think the drought was the worst era of Bills football have no idea how bad it really was. I was at a Texas Longhorns/Baylor game like that, back in the Ricky Williams days...the heat is just as mierable as the cold. -
Like I said, mostly !@#$s.

Oh the irony...

What Is The Worst Bills Game You've Attended
Buftex replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Believe it or not, I was at the Pro Football Hall of Fame a day or two after that game. They made an announcement (a joke I assume, I didn't check it) that they would be showing a rebroadcast of the Bils-Browns game in the theater, at had been inducted into the HOF as the "worst game in modern NFL history". A lot of people chuckled..I assumed it was a joke for the benefit of the locals, already then, "long suffering" Browns fans. Funny, my worst game ever was also a Bills-Browns game at Rich Stadium, 1984. The game was in late November, or early December. My buddy, who I purchased my season tickets with, was already playing hooky on Bills games that year...the team was fricking' awful. But I went to every stinking game. I was working at Tops at the time. There was this cute girl I worked with, who had never been to a game. I asked her to go...she said yes! She was really excited. We went with another couple, who had seats in a different section. Not only was the game miserable (two woefully inept teams), but the weather was brutal. A potent combo of rain, sleet and wind... I had never left a Bills game early before (and have only done so one other time, witnessing a Patriots beat-down of the Bills on a bitter-cold day, the morining after Christmas..durning the Gaily/Fitz era), but the girl I was with was literally crying..,it was just too cold for her...we went back to the car, but had to wait for our friends until the end of the game. The Bills lost (as they did 14 other times that season) and as I recall, it was just a fumble fest...the Bills did all the fumbling, the Browns could barely cash in on any of the turnovers...it was tight, score wise, but as I recall, the Bills fumbled a punt late in the game, which the Browns reuturned for the winning td. Horrible day...
