  1. He desreves a purple heart like Joe Arrapaio deserves a presidential pardon...or Dwight and Steven Hammond, for that matter.
  2. The article says they are removing locked accounts...and further explains: "Twitter noted on Wednesday locked accounts are different from spam and bot accounts — two other issues that have plagued the platform — in that they were usually started by “real people,” but the company is unable to verify they’re still being run by their initial creators."
  3. I hope I am shocked. I wouldn't be opposed to Brandon Oliver... https://billswire.usatoday.com/2018/07/13/report-buffalo-bills-have-interest-in-former-ub-running-back-branden-oliver-university-at-buffalo/
  4. All that you say makes sense...but I think you are wrong if you think the Bills aren't looking at their options. Short of this woman confesssing that all of this was just a ruise, I will be pretty shocked if LeSean McCoy is a Buffalo Bill this coming season.
  5. Can't stand either, but Cowherd, to me, is the worst national sports guy out there...even if his predictions turn out to be right, I can't stand him. He is the reason I mostly stopped listening to sports talk radio in heavy volume. He represents everything I loathe about current sports media.
  6. Believe it or not, I have that one (Redskins) on DVD! It was a terrible era...pre-Chuck Knox. Not that it means a lot, but I have 5 full games on DVD from 1977 and 1978...in those games, the Bills scored a total of 13 points, and were shut out 3 times...the kids who think the drought was the worst era of Bills football have no idea how bad it really was. I was at a Texas Longhorns/Baylor game like that, back in the Ricky Williams days...the heat is just as mierable as the cold.
  7. He's always been an !@#$, nothing would surprise me. I agree, he has played his last football in a Bills uniform, but I think it may take a little longer.
  8. Eh...in every instance mentioned so far, except for Jason Peters, all of these guys were let go by the Bills. The players didn't have any say in their departure from Buffalo. The one that killed me:
  9. Believe it or not, I was at the Pro Football Hall of Fame a day or two after that game. They made an announcement (a joke I assume, I didn't check it) that they would be showing a rebroadcast of the Bils-Browns game in the theater, at had been inducted into the HOF as the "worst game in modern NFL history". A lot of people chuckled..I assumed it was a joke for the benefit of the locals, already then, "long suffering" Browns fans. Funny, my worst game ever was also a Bills-Browns game at Rich Stadium, 1984. The game was in late November, or early December. My buddy, who I purchased my season tickets with, was already playing hooky on Bills games that year...the team was fricking' awful. But I went to every stinking game. I was working at Tops at the time. There was this cute girl I worked with, who had never been to a game. I asked her to go...she said yes! She was really excited. We went with another couple, who had seats in a different section. Not only was the game miserable (two woefully inept teams), but the weather was brutal. A potent combo of rain, sleet and wind... I had never left a Bills game early before (and have only done so one other time, witnessing a Patriots beat-down of the Bills on a bitter-cold day, the morining after Christmas..durning the Gaily/Fitz era), but the girl I was with was literally crying..,it was just too cold for her...we went back to the car, but had to wait for our friends until the end of the game. The Bills lost (as they did 14 other times that season) and as I recall, it was just a fumble fest...the Bills did all the fumbling, the Browns could barely cash in on any of the turnovers...it was tight, score wise, but as I recall, the Bills fumbled a punt late in the game, which the Browns reuturned for the winning td. Horrible day...
  10. Not sure you can include the Celtics in that group...they have a hard time attracting free-agents. Most of the top talent they have brought in over the years were the results of trades. The only real big-time talents that they have acquired over the last 10 years or so via free agency are Gordon (who played a total of about 8 minutes for them) and Horford, who is a good, not elite player. Kyrie Irving was obtained via trade...and there is a good chance he will be going elsewhere after this coming season, as he won't talk extension. Honestly, they are my team, so maybe I am biased, but I think the Celtics are building a really good team, the good old fashioned way...through the draft, and solid, if not spectacular mid-level free agent signings.
  11. Yeah, I agree PTR. I was on the edge of my seat that whole game... knowing that the longer it went on, the winner was going to be determined by a play or two...sadly, Bortles made those plays with his legs. As much as I enjoyed it, conventional opinion seems to be that it was one of the worst playoff games ever. If I didn't have any rooting interest in it, not sure how much I would have enjoyed it. Now, the Bills/Broncos 1991 AFC Championship game... that was a true defensive classic! I actually still have one...have transferred countless of old VHS tapes to DVD with it...I have about 300 Bills games on DVD. Lot of old NBA playoff games...Sabres games...old music things. Ironically, the older games transferred from VHS to DVD look better than high-def recordings from the last 15 years or so...
  12. Pin it on the fridge: the 2017 Buffalo Bills higlght film will show on the NFL NETWORK on Tuesday, July 17th, at 6pm eastern. Also, if you can't wait that long for some Bills action, NFL Network will show a re-broadcast of the Bills/Jaguars Wild Card "classic" on Wednesday, July 11th, 8pm eastern. Back on your heads!
  13. Congrats John..,.if nothing else, Lakers basketball will be relevant again. Love to see a Lakers/Celtics final. LeBron vs Kyrie!
  14. I'd rather have him than Ivory, but I don't mind the RB's we have right now. If he recovers from his injury, I think Travarid Cadet could be a real find.
  15. 1973 Dodge Dart. It wasn't mine until 1984. While the car in the picture isn't mine, it is identical...and like the car in the picture, my often needed the help of another vehicle to get it moving...
  16. Wasn't Gabriel a director of college scouting for the Bears at one time?
  17. Wow! Never realized that. I must say, I really don't hear it...but your info checks out.
