  1. LIke most here as a kid I thought he was funny, loved Fat Albert and all...but when the Cosby Show was ruling the airwaves, and I was a little older, I remember him being on talk shows and just thinking he seemed like an arrogant, miserable person. I think some thought that was just a schtick, but I really thought that was him...
  2. I guess I don't follow you here...
  3. Very true...they couldn't be any worse than most of the Sunday afternoon broadcast teams. And Hannah is a stone cold fox!
  4. Hannah Storm has done basketball games.
  5. It likely won't happen now, but I really wanted the Bills to make an offer to the Bucs for Chris Godwin, during the off-season. The Bucs have a glut of great receivers/tight ends...Godwin is fast, a really good run blocker, and good hands.
  6. I really wanted the Bills to try to trade for Godwin this past off-season...the Bucs have an embarassment of riches at the receiver/TE positions.
  7. Since we are just spitballing...absolutely!
  8. Fitz may have the reocord for number of teams starting a game, but JT O'Sullivan was on 11 different teams....only started 8 games, all for the 49ers
  9. I'd take him too!
  10. I think Anotonio Brown and Mike Evans are the two best receivers in the league...
  11. If the NFL is going to call imaginary roughing the passer calls, they should adopt the NBA penalty for flopping, or the NHL's diving. Roethlisberger could have gotten called for either.
  12. Those helmets look they are made out of peanut butter.
  13. I am not saying their run is over, but I get a sense, maybe, just maybe they are finally on the decline...they will still win a ton of games, out of habit, but they just look vulnerable the last few weeks. More like the 95-96 Bills than the 90-93 teams...they will win some big games, but maybe lose some games to lesser teams...
  14. So, they are wearing their shittin' pants!
  15. Hell of a play by McDonald
  16. I know what you mean...the negativity is kid of a drag....and as time passes, seeing people bashing the Super Bowl era teams is pretty infuriating...but I also understand where it comes from. We are coming off two decades of really bad to mediocre football. After a while, the only thing to talk about is the degree of bad, what mistakes the team is making, and theories (some solid, some half-baked) on how to make things better. There isn't a lot to celebrate...so the fans turn sour. But, I think the fact that there are still so many, despite it all, just goes to show how great the fans really are. For a long time, the fan-base (even the !@#$-tards among us) have been the best thing about the franchise. They have deserved more than they have been getting... I like McDermott, and I will always defend his decision to start Peterman last year, and this year. Last year, people seem to forget, that the offense under Tyrod was absolutely anemic...perhaps McDermott mis-read how ready Peterman was, but he was absolutely justified in trying to give his team some sort of spark. This year, by all measures, Peterman "won" whatever QB competition there was during the pre-season. I gurantee, 2/3 of NFL coaches, in the same position, would have done the same thing. My biggest complaints revolve around some (not all) of Beanes' personnel decisions. I think trading McCarron was a really cocky, and kinda dumb move. It's fantastic that we may have found (fingers crossed) our QB of the future, but if something happens to him, they just can't go back to Peterman...and as far as I know, they still haven't done anything to address this issue. But I think they are getting a little too cute with some of the trades and creating holes they didn't necessarily have to create. McDermott is on solid ground as far as I am concerned. After all the BS of the first two weeks, I give him as much credit as anyone for keeping this team focused enough to pull off that win yesterday.
  17. I like your line-up. I know Roethlisberger is known to be better at home than on the road, but the Bucs defense, pretty mediocre to begin with, is really banged up...this could really be a make or break game for the Steelers, as far as them unraveling goes. I can't wait for that game. Ben, Connor and OJ should all put up numbers.
  18. I ended up with Flacco...lost out on Fitz and Keenum on the waiver wire.
  19. Have the practice squad qualifications changed? I would have thought O'Leary had too much playing time to qualify for practice squad.
  20. With a record like his, how come he wasn't in prison? Hmmm....wonder....
  21. Two of my all-time favorite Buffalo Bills wore #22: Freddie and Steve Freeman. Davis tarnishes the number.
  22. In fairness, to PatsFanNH, Tom Brady has been dropping 4-5 tds a game and 300+ yards pretty regularly on us for going on 17 years..we still talk plenty of trash about him around here.
  23. You know, I started "envy" watching the Bucs last season, because I think they are building a really fantastic team...didn't work out so well last year, though there were glimmers...I will be watching them again this year. Even if Fitz fizzles out (which everyone seems to be assuming), I think Winston (who is a major a-hole, I know) is extremely talented...their passing game is loaded at every position on the roster.
  24. What pisses me off, any "bad takes" on this situation should be directed at Vontae Davis, not the Buffalo Bills. Unless there is something we don't know about, Davis handled this about as poorly as he could have. I get, and respect, that he just came to terms with the fact that he just can't physically play football anymore...I am sure that is hard to deal with. But why not tell your coaches at the beginning of the week, or today...or, eve if he told them at half-time, just stay with his teammates until the end of the game, even if he couldn't play. To me, this is just a very unjustified black-eye on the franchise. The national take seems to be that this is all a reflection on how bad of a franchise the Bills are, or how bad the fans are, is just galling. But, you are right...we have been here before.
