  1. I saw stories like that after that incident. I'm thinking "what a clueless moron", then remembering I was one of those morons.
  2. Yes, a guy like this is a PERFECT fit for The Process!. Sometimes you have to THINK before posting.
  3. When I moved from LA to Long Island I was driving a U-Haul dragging a Citroen DS on a trailer behind. I'm not admitting to be driving under the influence at the time, but let's just say I have NO idea how I ended up on a 'No Trucks or Commercial Vehicles" parkway. It didn't even register until I saw the first overpass. I can't remember the exact height, but it was an inch or so higher than my vehicle. The overpass was lower on the two ends, and higher in the middle, so I figured "the height listed must be the lowest possible", so I moved between the two lanes and hit the middle and just held my breath. I had one or two more to go before I got the hell off that parkway.
  4. When do they make the Baker website?
  5. They say 20-20 hindsight is perfect. I'm not so sure. I think it's possible you aren't taking "The Process" seriously enough. Choosing Gore and Singletary (Yeldon was just an addition as a receiving back) over McCoy was a process move, IMO. From what I'm hearing McCoy, while not a bad guy, was not likely to take getting a lot less playing time very well. Maybe not cause a real fuss, but definately not all in. He has a star RB mentality at this point. My 20-20 (yeah, right) retrospective look suggests they may have made the right decision. Ditch Shady's salary. Let Gore show the new guy what process is really about. Get the bulk of the carries early, and as the old guy starts to decline a bit, unleash the youth. Then again, I could be completely full or s#it
  6. Thanks for sharing this, Webster. This truly is the real legacy of the Buffalo Mafia (AKA Bills fans) and the people in WNY in general. In fact, though I haven't lived in WNY for many years, I find acting like a true WNYer, and treating people with real respect tends to get you the same in response. I hope your son learns to pay it forward, as well.
  7. Just curious, can you explain? From the videos shown, it seems as though that axe easily could have smacked that girl in the head. It doesn't even have to be sharp. Is it made of rubber or something?
  8. Do you know that he is married? The game is on at 7PM in Venice. I think he could spend an entire day visiting museums, having espresso and gliding in a gondola. I'd also guess Sunday won't be his only day in Venice. I'd spin your advice on its head (if he is indeed married or with a significant other): Let your partner have this 3-4 hour window, once a week. The rest of the week is yours. That's what I recommend. Then again, I'm not married. Also consider the OP's partner (if there is one) might be as/more jacked up for the game than the OP. Anyway, my advice is (virtually always) WATCH THE GAME if you can.
  9. Bills/Eagles is the #1 early game on Fox. I think the OP is in luck. Hope we get a follow-up report.
  10. Bills fan = Bills Mafia. That's all there is to it. You can say "I'm a Bills fan, but not part of the Bills' Mafia" but it is a meaningless statement (except perhaps to you). Bills Mafia doesn't = the idiots who smash tables, though most of them are Bills Mafia. But they existed way before Bills Mafia was ever coined. Just consider this: Many players, the coaches and the Bills organization tag some posts with #billsmafia. They aren't condoning this weird stuff. That's just some over the top fans. "Bills Fans". If you want to disassociate yourself from them, I understand (and concur). But saying your aren't a part of Bills Mafia is the EXACT SAME THING as saying you aren't a Bills fan at this point. 716 knows what I'm talkin' 'bout.
  11. Typically I say NO to most of these (even though I don't post it), for many reasons. But I just might say Yes to this one. Gotta love the attitude and confidence.
  12. No doubt. In a vacuum, taking a knee is more likely to succeed. Game isn't played in a vacuum. In this case, either way probably isn't that big of an issue. Bills up by 10. Fins need to be otherworldly to succeed. Bills just need to be relatively competent. It ain't the Pats* and the Bills have a young QB and team. Even so, I'm guessing the cold hard odds are to kneel. I'm wondering if Farwell gave them those instructions before hand. If he did, then I concede, Hyde should have kneeled. In situations like that (eg, hail mary knockdown/don't intercept) you should be stressing what you need on that one, particular, unusual play). The player's instinct is to get the ball and score. In this case, I think I like what he decided to do.
  13. So, I'm just curious. On a scale from 1-10, how furious are you that the Bills are 5-1 (1 = Happy as a baby kitten and 10 =Hulk on a bad day)? Right now, I'm about a 3. Then again, I've been drinking, live with an opiate patch and have a good dose of thc in me---so my top end is about 6.
  14. I understand all the dynamics. But sheesh, when you have a wide open field to add another 7 points. I think you do it. The reason is, your reasoning is flawed: There is always a chance of SOMETHING happening. "Just kneel down twice" you say. "Bad snap", I say. "DT calling the OG's sister "a *****", he's distracted and he smacks Josh before he can kneel. Recovers the fumble and scores!!!" In this game, against this team, I'll take the extra points, thank you.
  15. What? Patience? Here? The guy just got his first PT with the team. I've been assured by many, he would re-injure himself walking onto the field. If he could to out and just get his feet wet, and contributing a bit, that's not good enough!!! He got a penalty, too. So he is clearly, obviously a useless, worthless bum! At least he didn't get injured! Yikes. You'd think Beane traded a #1 pick for this guy the way some people whine about him. Maybe, just maybe, give the guy til the end of the season before you start celebrating that he possibly wasn't the best of off season pickups. I know. That's crazy talk.
  16. Completely agree. Said the same when he kicked it. "That's got a chance...", then the return. And if he was going to kneel, he'd do it where he caught it. Is anyone suggesting once he realize he could score that he should have stopped? Are you kidding me?
  17. Though I guess he could have been teaching him plays remotely. I mean, it's possible, I suppose.
  18. But I just got out of the shower. How do I reverse it? Actually I shower, but don't shave on game day.
  19. Well, perhaps I can shed some light on the subject. I lived in the Boston area for a few years in the late 80's. The Pats* had basically stunk for many years. At that time you could stroll down Commonwealth ave firing a machine gun and not hit a Pats* fan. The Giants were the area's favorite NFL team, judging from the conversations I had with many sports fans. I think "fairweather" is an excellent adjective for them. I will never understand a Bills fan betting against the Bills. Now you may not be a Bills fan, so I get that. I would simply never bet on a Bills game, as it's hard to be objective. But in the rare instances when you have to pick every game, I always pick the Bills to win. You know how crappy I'd feel about myself if the reason I lost is because the Bills WON? I'd have to stop considering myself a fan. At that point I'd be more of a fan of money than I am the Bills. And I'm not a huge fan of money.
  20. Do your balls hang low? Do they wobble to and fro? Can you tie them in a knot? Can you tie them in a bow? Do your balls hang low? Do your balls hang low? Do they itch like a bitc#? Do they make a tinny clatter when you're walking through a ditch? Do your balls hang low? I think I'll stop there.
  21. Many thanks for that.
  22. That's my basic recollection. The Russian Mob angle is interesting. Did you guys check out his company's website yet? I'm guessing you have but I missed it my speed perusal through the thread" http://www.blacklabsports.com/
  23. It's funny. I've always been a Penn State fan, probably because I really respected the Joe Pa philosophy of coaching student athletes. (I was a big Dean Smith fan, too.) And for some unknown reason I used to root for Michigan State. Probably because I despised Notre Dame so much, and they would beat them on occasion. I didn't like USC much (unless they were playing Notre Dame) and I think MSU may have played them in a Rose Bowl or two early in my youth. (I have no interest in looking it up tonight.) I have a few connections to Wisconsin (looked at going there for my PhD and love Madison and have some great friends in Wisconsin). Plus I've always liked the way they were coached and the style they play. Now I have many OSU fans, so unless they are playing Penn State or Wisconsin, I probably root for OSU. Somehow over the years, I've become a Big 10 fan without even noticing.
  24. I just think it's beautiful.
