Doug Flutie to be legend of the game this Sunday

Flutie's arm by then was shot and he really couldn't get the ball downfield. That year, Flutie seemed to basically stink most of the game, but would often manage to do something exciting in the 4th quarter to pull out the win. Johnson played a very Flutie-like game in that playoff game. He stunk most of the game but made an exciting (and Flutiesque) pass, having lost a shoe, to put the Bills ahead with on 16 seconds to play. Special Teams blew that game, not RJ, The year before in the playoffs, Flutie FUMBLED to lose the game. He was the goat in that game. What in the world makes people think the outcome would have been different against the Titans? If you really think Flutie was The Man for that job, what became of his career after that year? Did he "just win" after that? Flutie was done. Truth is, he was done much earlier than the Bills realized. I'm not defending RJ here. As it turns out, his career in the NFL was as forgettable as Flutie's was after that year. But he was young, had an arm (something Flutie lacked by then) and was clearly the QB of the future for the Bills---if anyone on the roster was going to get that job. His performance the game before was pretty impressive and IMO he deserved to get the start. And keep in mind, Flutie's NFL career isn't really anything to brag about. A career backup in the NFL (with a few starts in NE), he was never able to breakthrough. Since his ego was three times his height, he wouldn't be a backup (where he probably would have excelled, IMO) he dodged the NFL and escaped to Canada. There he excelled!! But his best years were with the Bills, no doubt. B But what convinces some people the Bills would have beaten the Titans if Flutie had played? There is nothing in his NFL past or future that suggest that. He was the QB for ZERO wins in the NFL previously (or in the future). In fact, since he fumbled the previous year's playoff game away, what makes you so sure the Bills would have won? Flutie? Exciting QB who was fun to watch. Great college and CFL QB. Career NFL backup/journeyman with 2-3 years of pretty decent play. He was a poor man's Fitz. Perhaps the most overrated NFL player of our time. -

Well, that's exactly what happened. Instead of handling it like a pro, he whined like a baby. He was exciting and had some talent. He could have been a great mentor relief pitcher, and probably would have had MORE success in the NFL. But his inability to be a team player really hurt the team, and Skin's NFL production and legacy. -

And he fumbled away the previous year's playoff loss! Oh wait, that was Skin Flutie! -
You have my condolences. 66 is far too young to be taken. RIP

Cowherd is an absolute moron. It's still goingto take some time until one should make judgements about the career any of these youn QBs. But I think one can safely conclude Josh is head and shoulders above Baker when it comes to class. And yes, I am aware many of you couldn't give a rat's ass about class.

Will Bird Fans Infiltrate New Era?
The Dean replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ticket prices will be raised whether the stadium is open, closed or retractable. Exactly how much might depend a bit on the totl expense of the project. I think the biggest difference might be in the secondary market in December. I should note I have been to the Carrier Dome and enjoyed that experience-- but that was for basketball. Even then I prefer a smaller, more intimate setting. But it was much better for basketball than the Superdome -

Why would I be less likely to go to an indoor (dome or not) game than an outdoor game? Or why don't I think the Bills will build a "Dome"? I've already said every indoor game I've been to was unsatisfying to me. It felt artificial and I've never really enjoyed one indoors (football or baseball). I've been to the Superdome and Skydome (Roger's Centre) on several occasions. Saw the Bills in the old Minneapolis dome in the Super Bowl and saw them in the old Kingdome in Seattle. There are probably a couple more examples. Everyone an artificial and horrible experience. I'd rather sit in freezing rain than sit inside when watching a game. Why don't I think it will be a dome? Because they just don't seem to be building domed stadiums anymore. They are a relic. There are inclosed stadiums and retractable roof stadiums, but what is the newest DOMED stadium? -
FINALLY somebody gets what's happening. It just shocks me that, at this point in the year, nobody seems to understand the Bills just can't sign any player that's cut. Cap hit has NOTHING to do with it. And let's get something straight, Hauschka's leg isn't "shot". He's kicking off out of the endzone better than I can remember---so there is still some power there. But something is definately off. I'm thinking this is probably his last year in Buffalo. But for this year. until there is a legit better kicker that is available to sign, he's our guy. Whining they need to get someone else, without offering a name who is available to sign, and is a definite upgrade, is just stupidity. As far as I can tell, there just isn't anyone better available right now. I'm sure if there was, Beane would be working him out.

I would be FAR less likely. But then I don't count as I live in Florida and am lucky if I make one game in Buffalo. And, again, it isn't likely to be a dome--just maybe a stadium with a roof (stationary or retractable). -

Just one quick comment. Whatever form the new stadium takes, it almost certainly won't be a "dome". It could be an enclosed stadium or one with a retractable roof, but I doubt it will be a domed stadium. Speaking strictly from personal experience, I have never had a great experience watching football or baseball inside. Even the most miserable experiences in outdoor stadiums have been far superior to that of being indoors. Well, there is one exception. Watching the Bills/Packers in Milwaukee's old baseball stadium was pretty damn miserable, too. -
Pretty sure Powershell is now included on all Windows 10 offerings. At least it is on Home. I work mostly on residential, standalone computers, and my clients tend to be older adults. They do not need Windows 10 Pro, and I don't think many "typical" non-gamers need it, either. But like you, when there are certain issues I have to fix, I'm very happy to find Pro installed on occasion.

I just hope they keep highlighting Steve Belicheat when the Texans have the ball in the red zone. That seemed to work well against the Ravens and so-far so-good tonight.

All your docs can and should be available on your computer with Office 365 or Office 2019. They can also be available in the cloud- but that's true for Office 2007, 2010, etc. I use LibreOffice (free) as nothing I do is highly formatted or uses macros.

Or use a Chromebook! My advice for regular computer users (not gamers) thinking of upgrading their current Windows 7 computer is this: How old is your current computer? 5-6+ years? Probably not worth upgrading as the hardware is in more danger of failing, particularly if you have a traditional hard drive. But you may still want to check your computer's specs to see if it is likely to work well with Windows 10. Windows 10 is a bit of a RAM hog (yes, things can be disabled, to help save on this). Make sure the computer has AT LEAST 8GB of RAM. Check your processor. A quick way (that is usually "good enough") is to check your exact processor model on this chart: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php I'd be wary of upgrading any computer with a processor that doesn't exceed 5,000 Passmark CPU Mark. They do sell new computers with slower processors than that, but they tend to be very low end. So figure you have to pay $140 for a new Windows license. Do you need more RAM? That may add another $50-$100 depending on your RAM and how much you need to add. So typically, we're talking at least $200---and now you have an older, used Windows 10 computer. You can get a perfectly good new desktop tower, that probably blows your current Windows 7 machine away, for about $400. Maybe $500 if you get a reasonable sized SSD and push the RAM a bit. Oh, and whether new or upgraded, if this is your first time with Windows 10 and you don't like change, try adding this nice tool, which helps longtime Windows 7 (and XP) users acclimate more easily. My clients tend to love it: https://github.com/Open-Shell/Open-Shell-Menu/releases (just download and run the .exe file).
