  1. Nice report, Timmy. Both look pretty good and get good reviews.
  2. Then again, Nobody Circles The Wagons Like The Buffalo Bills!
  3. Indeed. But just like there are good gunslingers and bad gunslingers, there are good game managers (skilled in some things) and Trent Dilfer game managers (hand the ball of, Trent).
  4. Do they have a DJ that plays music during the commercials? Because if they don't, I think that's all I'd need to know in order to go to Kitty's. I'm interested because I may have to watch one game in Orlando later in the season.
  5. Never been to either of these bars, but I know The Dog typically picks great spots to watch the game. One thing I notice in this thread is it seems like everyone is saying whichever bar they go to is the best. I have yet to see an objective comparison between them (other than their locations), from someone who has been to both to watch a game.
  6. I DESPISE that. They always play terrible music, too. Usually too loud and distorted, just for good measure.
  7. "Rub some has oil on it!" Someday that might be a new NFL cliche.
  8. I'm not saying this means anything, but against the Bills and tonight (and on a few other occasions when I glance toward the Pats* game), Brady has seen ordinary. I'm kicking myself for even typing that. But with plenty of time, I've seen him miss badly. Then again, could it be the WR? Edelman?
  9. And walk it off Actually those are two of my favorite.
  10. Really , that's all I'm saying. But in the moment, I actually liked it, too.
  11. Well I don't have any preseason data for drops, so I can't be completely sure. I thought he dropped a couple passes in the preseason. He certainly didn't jump off the screen as a guy who was getting great separation against deep preseason depth or dominate against that same depth. But he clearly showed some promise with a few nice catches. With that said, you may also be right. I could be combining some miscues by Sills and Duke, since they were the preseason darlings everyone was rooting for. I can say I saw very little from Sills. So it is possible some of the stench of Sills rubbed off on Duke. (I use "stench" with a wink. Don't take it too seriously.) I've never been anti-Duke. I just wasn't a "Duke has to play NOW!" kind of guy. I liked the pickup when it happened, but I had no strong feeling that he should have made the 53 instead of another player. In fact it made perfect sense to me, to let a guy brand new to the league, develop on the practice squad for a bit.
  12. I think you are missing my point. I agree Lewan's an idiot. But you should still display CLASS, irrespective of what an idiot does. I think that's part of what McDermott teaches. At least I hope it is. Twitter/social media "beefs" are quintessentially low class. Just beat them on the field and move on. There's no need to get into name calling. Just let him look bad.
  13. They get PAID? Who knew? And yes, the opposite is likely true if they were playing Canadian football.
  14. "Foot speed". Good thing you cleared that up, otherwise I might have confused it with "mouth speed" "That's a great football play". Um, yes this is a football game. "The ground can't cause a fumble." Of course it can. "Indisputable" . Anything can be disputed. Most of the others have already been mentioned, such as "110 %" But i think I'm forgetting a couple more.
  15. Of course. And also highlights are, well highlights They never show the whole picture. And of course, the CFL is the CFL. Very different game. By his logic, any player who excels in the CFL will obviously excel in the NFL--but we know that's not true. As with making the transition from college to the NFL, the transition from the CFL isn't always smooth. With that said, I doubt Duke will be the leading receiver in the NFL (or even close). But it looks like he will be a contributor. McBeane picked another winner. Hypothetical question. Would the Grey Cup champ beat Alabama (or any top 5 NCAA teams) in a game of USA football? I wouldn't bet on it.
  16. Look, I'm not defending Bon Jovi. I really don't like the guy or his music. But still you say "he was willing to openly mislead". In order for that to be true, he'd have to know he was misleading. What I'm saying is, he may have believed what he was saying, 100%. Do you REALLY think Bon Jovi is a savvy businessman who can't be fooled by the likes of the Rogers' folks? Bon Jovi is a lifelong musician (in the broadest sense). He doesn't strike me as having a sharp business mind. Why do you think so many rich people are conned out of their money by savvy business people? A patsy is a patsy for a reason. Now I'm not saying being a patsy is admirable or a good thing. What I'm saying is one MIGHT take a second to think, he may have been an unwitting accomplice instead of an intentional liar. Does it make a difference? Well, yes it does to me. Why? Because they are different things. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but they are different things. I think it's a better bet (in this case) that Bon Jovi was a bumbling idiot who was in way over his head. That might be worse (in some way) than believing he was at all instrumental in the brainwork that went into that consortium's plan. With all that said, who thought using Bon Jovi would be good front man for a group trying to buy the Bills? If it was one of the NJ teams, I'd get it. Is (well, WAS) Buffalo some kind of hotbed of fandom for Mr. Jovi? (And yes, I know his real name.)
  17. I thought he played well. It seemed he certainly was a big part of the game plan and helped inject a little excitement into the offense. He should continue to improve moving forward, as he and Allen develop more chemistry. It's a bit understandable he was somewhat tentative during the first couple preseason games. He was still getting adjusted to the NFL game, and quite frankly probably the Bills' playbook. Those early drops, while not a good look for a guy who was supposed to be a guy who caught everything, were probably just a natural part of having some much uncertainty and being a bit overwhelmed. That likely played a part in why he was put on the PS to begin with. It looks like he used those weeks on the PS to learn and get comfortable. I'm on board, though I never wasn't.
  18. Whatever indeed. I've disliked him WAY before all this. Just saying, he probably would have had no say whatever on where they located the team. It's OK, in fact it's a sign of intelligence, to be able to separate issues and address them individually. He was the face/voice of the ownership group. And he caught the requisite s#it for it. I'm just saying he was probably a clueless puppet for the group. That's all.
  19. Good to see them make an apology. They likely were right, but it's a bad look for the Bills.
  20. I have no use whatsoever for Bon Jovi's music. With that said, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt here. He may actually believe what he is saying. But he was never anything more than a sock puppet for the owners. The public well-known face who had a VERY small minority stake in the team. His opinion and wishes likely carried no weight with the other potential owners.
  21. Yes I still hate Bon Jovi's music, but it has nothing to do with the Bills. I've ALWAYS hate Bon Jovi music because it's trite garbage pop.
