especially on a cleaned private chartered aircraft that only has the players and staff. Thrn the hotel that closes of entire floors for the team and they have no contact with anyone other than the team. except when players get injured at meaningless times during games...no reason to risk thrm.

Should a losing team go to playoffs?
djp14150 replied to BananaB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You have unbalanced schedules so this will result in some divisions skewing down with 500 or below records. the nfc east poorer play has inflated nfc west and afc north records. Clevrland and baltimore went 4-0. The play a harder division they be 2-2 and there wouldn’t be thus WC race. -
People don’t seem to understand playoff seeding. Beating Miami does not eliminate thrm. Right now the rank order of teams are for WC Miami baltimore cincinati indianapolis. if buffalo beats Miami and another of those teams lose, Miami gets in. A buffalo win means buffalo could be playing Miami again.

ummm...hotels are unfamiliar? The hotels would have very high clean standards. The team would be on their own floors. They take chartered flights...

home field advantage relies on fans there making noise that make it difficult for opposing team to call play changes. When players think different plays mistakes and turnovers happen. if fans aren’t there Then there is no home field advantage like there is in hockey with the ability to match lines or baseball hitting last. im not risking starter injuries just to be a 2 seed vs a 3 seed. thus team can still compete if they rested Allen, Diggs, Tre, Milano, and a few others.

cincy beat Pittsburgh in cincinati. Baltimore plays there on Sunday. None is incorrect.
-
no the Titans win they get division. if Titans lose they can get a WC spot with a Miami or Baltimore loss. They won’t get 5 with a loss unless everyone loses yes it is... right now KC is 1 BUF or PIT are 2 and 3 that leaves afc south winner 4 miami has tiebreakers on all of CLE, balt, ind so they win they are the 5 seed at 11-5. The 3 went 4-0 against nfc, Mia 3-1 so Miami has better conference record in WC it’s 5 at 4 QED

A lose does not knock Miami out. They lose Then they need Cleveland, Baltimore, or Indy to lose snd they get in. Buffalo could face Them in WC game. going out to beat the same team in week 17 then the next week is not what you want to do. with no fans...home field means nothing.
-
If Buffalo beats Miami thry could play them the next week if only one of CLE, BAL, or IND lose
-
no... if buffalo goes LL and ten W buffalo woukd have bern 4 and had to go to KC division round. Win tonight assures they don’t see KC till championship game.
-
Pit could be in the situation of beat Cleveland then play them the next week or if they let them win and thrn have them sent to buffalo.
-
Miami wins they are 5 and play at south division champs
-
I think it wasn’t planned but they did it because of they left him uncovered on a short 4th down all teams have this.
-
they need to win so I see him trying a comeback in 2nd half
-
since home field doesn’t matter this year, thrm playing home or road in division doesn’t matter to them. Pittsburgh coukd be thinking if we go for it and beat the browns we coukd have to play them the next week. Miami wins they are at AFC south 5 v 4
-
he’ll play some. I think a lot depends on how the game is going and scoreboard watching. if browns are up 32-7 over Pittsburgh they rest starters no matter the score.
-
Buffalo gets #2 if they 1 WW 2. W one, lose one and PIT L They will be 3/4 if LL and TEN L/W TEN in if W they win division IND L they win division They L and MIA or BAL L they get at least a WC IND... they W and any of MIA, CLE, BAL, or TEN L ( clinch division) if IND L everyone else in. MIA in with a W or L and any of CLE, IND, BAL L BAL in with W or a L by CLE or IND CLE in with a W or a L and IND ot TEN l

Meaningless late season games
djp14150 replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
im fine winning tonight, resting guys week 17 and being locked in at 2 or 3. With no fans going on the road doesn’t matter in the playoffs. peopleforget the nfl playoffs isn’t a bracket format...it’s best vs worst. if buffalo wins tonight and rests week 17 and loses the playoffs will look lime Miami at south winner 6/7 at 2/3 division round lowest seed at KC buffalo vs Pitt or 2nd lowest seed AlsoIf Pitt beats Cleveland they could be playing them or Indy the next week. They might not want to do that. -
Ohio State QB’s and Us.- Update Haskins cut!

I agree... it’s not Darnold fault. They should look at trading down for an RG3 level haul -
The last part is not true. They were not garbage time stats. 7 of their loses they had lead, tied or had the ball down one score in the 4th. houston needs to improve receivers snd their bad defense. They traded their top 5 pick in 2021to Miami. They aren’t bouncing back next year. Getting a new gm and coach will see personnel changes and a step back next year.

A QB alone doesn’t improve a team. That isn’t new. You need more team talent. another factor in Houston you need to remember.....who they played to start the season. They played 3 playoff teams in their first 4 games from last year. The one that wasn’t was Pittsburgh who many thought would be a playoff team last year if Ben wasn’t out for most of the season. Other than 2 games with jacksonville in first 9 games they played 5 playoff teams from last year and 2 teams who would contend this year in Pittsburgh and Cleveland. it doesn’t matter how talented a team is...you stat 0-4 and 2-7 the team isn’t going to play hard the rest of the season. 7 of their loses were by one score.
