The single game is against the 2019 division by finish placement. Buffalo plays Washington. In 2022 then play the nfc west based on placement in 2021 season, in 2023 they play nfc south placement ( play full division in 2021) the uncertainty is if this is considered a neutral site game that coukd be played internationally post covid.

1— it came down to a few plays. Buffalo got 2 TDs instead of FGs and hold KC to a FZg at the start of the 4th it woukd be 27-23 KC...different game. Remember our receivers were not 100%. 2– pass can be used to set up the run. I do t have an issue with a 4 yd run vs a 4 yr screen or toss. Stop blasting Singletary. He didn’t do that bad running. 3– you don’t measure LB/S coverage against the top TE in the league and thing the problem is in your players. There are scheme changes they could have played and not,any too soft and make plays on 3rd and long or 2nd along and not allow them 3/4 and under 2. 4– blame the CBs snd not the defensive scheme used. Brilliant take...not. You need to factor in the scheme used. From their prior 8 oppents, 5 of them kept it a close game keeping it a one score game throughout the game if they didn’t have the lead. What schemes did they use. 5. Decisions need to be mad on some players and the cap. Also remember the defense had a couple of players sit out the season. KC has roster decisions to make too being I think $20M over.

Drafting is not. remember Rodgers was drafted around the same place in the draft and sat for 3 yrs.

ive said in other threads. they get TDs instead of FGs inside the 10 and the D holds them to a couple FGs instead of TDs the game is tied.

I wouldn’t call KC defense that great. I think it was more play execution and calling the right plays. On offense 2 trips inside the 10 and get FGs. The defense makes some plays and KC held to FGs game is different. The score in close in 4th. Different game.

problem was we weren’t that good on short yardage plays running. im not interesting in investing a high pick for a RB.

I know. It’s about execution. one thing they didn’t seem to do was bunch re river formations for WR screens or generating moving pick plays.

KC didn’t run much up the middle. DT don’t cover the TE.

My issue is thrm not making some plays forcing more 3rd and longs. Then there was YAC stats where ifyou play prevent you need to pursue and defend on YAC and force more 3rd and ling that then get drive stops and force more punts. buffalo isbt designed around a front four big sack team. i believe if you can get pressure forcing quick plays then it’s to your advantage to play man coverage.

if Gabe wasn’t 100% I don’t see the problem in dressing a fresh Stillsand use him in 10-12 snaps. I’m not saying he’s a #2.

1st half on 2 KC TD drives they had a 3rd and long. One they converted on their side, other they got a 4-1 in FG range. You hold them to a FG they only have 17 buffalo gets a TD instead of FG it’s 17-16 at half in 2nd half they trade FGs, KC gets a TD Then buffalo throws a red zone pick. they-trade TDs ...the game at this point before buffalos recovered onside kick it’s a one score game. Had buffalo not thrown the pick and got a TD it’s likely tied or a small deficit. the point I’m getting at its small margins was the difference in the game. Thus comesdiwn to execution.

it’s about execution. buffalo had 2 times inside the 10 and kicked 2 FGs. KC got TDs. The deficit was 16 at the time. Reverse it and it’s a tie game. theD failed to make stops forcing punts or holding thrm to FGs.

I do think Brady wanted New Ragland to improve at WR for him to stay. At that point he announced, free agency surge was over and trades seemed over.

Of their last 8 wins, they were by 6 pts or less. In 5 of them they were behind or had a 3-4 pts lead in the 3rdquarter. 3 of those wins involved the opponent pulling close late after being down by 17+ points. I don’t buy the claim if buffalo playing simpleton one dimension teams. Kansas City had a similar closing schedule as buffalo. They played some common opponents. their regular season match up isn’t a good barometer. Buffalos defense is playing better ( and being healthy). there offenses are similar ( with some differences) and their defenses are different. it will be about executing offensively, making big plays ( turnovers, loss yds plays) and stopping them in 3 rd and 6+ yds. On defense holding them to FGs.
