  1. no...you don’t try to fit a square peg in a round hole. you tailor an offense around the qb strengths. It takes time to understand pro defense and learn on the differences between college and pro. Allen had some innate abilities that could be modified.
  2. Winning a super bowl does not change anything about the past ri se and repeat
  3. he has to be cleared by an independent dr...not the team
  4. in this league if you have a strong running team and a very good defense you can do well with an a non top 5 QB. it’s still beneficial if the QB can run to avoid sacks and extend plays as well as being a potential running threat to keep a defense honest
  5. My thoughts...... Dobbins is a good RB Andrews is a good TE Hollywood brown is a decent WR with speed but not a #1. Jackson doesn’t avg 200 yds per game passing but is a running threat. The fact is it’s only a matter of time before he does get injured. In yesterday’s game he happened to get concussion by just being knocked back as a passer on a sack attempt. It wasn’t a run that did this like it did to Mahomes Im unsure on Jackson’s longevity. The key is can he develop and be a better passer with the threat to run and use his mobility when needed. This is similar to what Allen has done and what a few other QBs who can run have done like Andrew Luck, and steve Young as well as others.
  6. but if buffalo was fully healthy when they played earlier this season this game woukd be in buffalo
  7. Both teams miss2 FGs due to wind. buffalo would have put up more TDs
  8. houston lost 8 1-score games. A few plays in those loses could have been wins and they were in a playoff race.
  9. that is the kind of thing you can modify in traditional passer rating such as whose fault was the interception. You could just look at yards on the throw and separate YAC, but credit expected comp, etions where the fault was on the re receiver.

  11. traditional passer rating is an objective measure not a subjective one...big difference. any formula you try to make can have some situational loophole. in traditional passer rating if you play for a primary running team and only pass when behind or on 3rd and long you are likely going to have higher completion and yard averages playing against soft defenses that are bend don’t break. Since it’s also a TD per arrempt rate it can try to normalized teams that throw much more vs those that don’t.
  12. QBR by espn is seriously flawed. I understand what it’s trying to do but situations are too subjective.
  13. You are just realizing this now...... im a professional data scientist.
  14. The 2000 season 2001 playoffs was the first 8 pm Saturday playoff games. about 10 years later they moved the championship games to 3/630 as regular times. There might have been a year previously they were there because two west coast teams hosted.
  15. With talk if San Fran possible releasing him the Patriots woukd be all over getting him because he’s very familiar with their system. I disagree on laying the blame in SF on Garappolo thus wanting to move/release him when they don’t have a QB in waiting. Watson to SF, garappolo to NE and Houston gets 1sts from both
  16. the Chargers gm knows him outside of buffalo
  17. you don’t blame the defense when the offense turns the ball over giving your opponent drive starts inside scoring range ( inside 30). Cut down those 3 1st quarter turnovers to 1 and it’s a different game. the offense should have gone for it early in 4th, gone down and scored making it a one score game. That could have fired up the defense. sure the defense allowed plays when they shouldn’t have. I think think they thought we stopped thrm the prior week they shoukd be able to this week. I wonder how much did Cleveland pull out of the playbook that Pittsburgh hadn’t seen before.
  18. https://wjla.com/sports/content/he-was-just-really-unstoppable-high-school-coach-reflects-on-stefon-diggs-start Diggs high school was in suburban DC area. Local DC station did an interview with his high school football coach there has been some local coverage because DC markets do cover Ravens stories. The ABC station carries/does a Ravens weekly 30 min tv show that airs I think late Saturday night (1 am or so). The Baltimore and dc stations are owned by the same company.
  19. they played 2019, 2016, 2013, 2010, 2007, 2004 under the current schedule rotating divisional format. 3H and 3R. Because of unbalanced divisions when Cleveland came back there wasn’t many games against st that division from 1996-2001. Opponent were based on last years standings
  20. 48-29. you don’t gift them a TD and not have those other two turnovers for short field TDs..or just limit them to FZGs instead of TDs thisis a one score game. theD did not make up for some of the turnovers giving positive drive starts.
  21. Umm... they did comeback to beat the colts in bens last game by something like 14+
  22. In buffalo comeback irwas 35-24 after 3
