  1. I have 2 #1 Grilled pimento cheese on sourdough #2 Limberger cheese on rye w thin sliced onion and mustard
  2. This may not meet the "simple pleasure" requirement, but I will not ski east of the Mississippi ever again. Grew up skiing at Holimont and KB. Went skiing out west and have been out there many times. Conditions are sooooo good. Otherwise, a real good meal with good company (wink wink).
  3. Personally, I would love to have Britt as some backup / can play C or G. Pull some tape on him and you will have a hard time seeing him get beat.
  4. DTV and ST subscriber for 20+ years. Plus, ATT phone for ~10. Seen / heard nothing.
  5. I've got greens (spinach, lettuce, kale) in the ground. Some are already popping up. I've had to cover a couple of nights because of frost warnings. Prolly later this month / early next will get the peas, beets, and beans in the ground. Will have to hold off on the tomatoes until mid-next month. I hope my nursery will have supply.
  6. Got mine and still working. I know that this is not how it is to be used, but I plan on donating the majority of mine. Part to the local food bank and part to World Food Kitchen.
  7. Jeesh - that one cuts hard. Never heard of John Prine until my neighbor and a buddy would talk endlessly about him. Godspeed JP.
  8. Been checking those out for the past 3 weeks - nada, zip, zero
  9. The N95 masks are fitted and you will have to shave. The general purpose masks that you would see in the dentist office - no. I know that Jose Andres who is primary force for World Central Kitchen had to shave his. Things may have changed since I was in the fire service, but those breathing apparatus required no beard for a proper seal.
  10. Here's my question. What are all these kids going to do with this time off? They are not going to stay at home. They are going to the mall, go to the movies, go to the fast food place. Then what?? For those that don't have kid coverage, I've noticed on the NextDoor app a number of HS kids offering to kid-watch while parents are at work. Something to look at - FYI.
  11. I just keep leasing new vehicles and get 3 years free with each lease. ?‍♂️
  12. Are you in a reduced / compromised heath condition? If yes, then I might reconsider. If not, go. Take some bathroom wipes and wipe down the arm rests, seat back, the space before you sit down. I did this when I went to / back from China last spring - no post travel crud.
  13. It'll be interesting to see what, if anything, is said on the Sirius NHL station.
  14. Personally, I would trade Tobacco Road for Pine Needles, Mid-Pines, or Talamore. Maybe a side trip to Keith Hills.
  15. If you see my mom, dad, sister, and BIL there give them a hard time ?. They'll be there on Sat and Sun. (My sister / BIL live in Jax Beach, parents at The Villages)
  16. Played #4, #7, and #8. You could be just off the green and 3 - 4 chipping just to get back on the green. Then you still have to putt out. As said previously, hire a caddy if playing #2. The Payne Stewart statue if memory serves me correct is right off the 18 green. Main clubhouse is awesome. Played many Pinehurst area courses during off off season. That area is a piece of golfing heaven.
  17. There was a news story this week about this situation. The story indicated that to have seatbelts installed onto school buses would result in a price increase of $8000 per bus. Yes - you saw that right. $8000 per bus!! Neighboring school district has approximately 120 buses. That's an $960,000 total cost bogey. Also, there was consternation from bus drivers about what would happen if the bus were to roll over or go into some body of water. Then, how are you going to make kids put the seatbelts on? On the other hand, some knucklehead is going to cut the belt and beat some other kid up with the buckle.
  18. Here's my question about the whole double-sided or triple-sided kiss. Which side to you start with?
  19. I can vouch for the oxygen / Breck thing. My family went out there years ago and the sea levelers were sucking air like it was going out of style. My mom and nephew had to go on oxygen for the majority of the week. Me - for some reason - was good to go. I actually had to carry my 10yo nephew down the hill at Arrowhead.
  20. Godspeed to your dad PTR. Did the advocate provide any reasons for not traveling? Knowing me and my "spidey sense", I'd be down there on the next flight. He's your family, the the advocates.
  21. I said goodby to my black lab "Tex" about 10 years ago. She was having congestive heart issues along with some other issues. Went to a neighbor who is a vet, highly respected in the CBUS area. He said that Tex had a few more miles left in her, so we took extra care of her. She slowly just started to not be herself. One night I'm sitting in the driveway watching the sun go down, beautiful sunset. Tex got up and sat between my legs and watched the sun go down with me. I thought that was a sign. Checked with neighbor/vet and said it's better to be truthful than hang on to the last moment. That's when I made the appointment. Added this link to story in Columbus Dispatch about pet owners choices / grief. Ohio State’s veterinary social worker helps pet owners cope with grief, tough choices
