  1. There was a docu on Chicago, another on Lynyrd Skynyrd, and one about Woodstock All were very good - at least for me. Unfortunately, I don't remember where I saw them. The one on Woodstock may have been on AMC or TCM.
  2. I'm on a cul-de-sac of 11 homes that is within a community of 290 homes. I know 95% of the people on my street. The one couple I'm real good friends with, prolly my best friends. Neighbors to the right of me are cool, she tends to get into knowing everyone's business. Lady across the street lost her husband to cancer last year about this time. I go over and clean the driveway / mow the lawn when the kid on street can't. Except for the husband of one couple that I won't even acknowledge, everyone is pretty cool.
  3. And Collins, Aldrin, and Armstrong never went back into space. I guess how does one top that. Armstrong was a professor at Univ of Cincinnati.
  4. Saw the Apollo 11 movie at the IMAX theater Sunday. 45 minutes, but very enjoyable. I've been picking up various shows / programs all week.
  5. 1 - Be on time (and that really means be early). 2 - Don't interrupt unless I'm about to experience some sort of trauma. 3 - Treat people with respect. 4 - Don't use social media to complain. If you have an issue, do the research and get to the right person. You'll get more results that way. 5 - Pick up after yourself. 6 - Eat sensibly and get exercise. 7 - Look at yourself in the mirror before going outside. 8 - Don't be an idiot at a sporting event. 9 - Say please and thank you. 10 - Do more than what is asked.
  6. I'm aging myself by saying my experience was in the 60's. Still don't know what happened to "fun'?
  7. Take the tours of Ryman Aud and Grand Ole Opry Wander around East Nashville The Country Music HOF is pretty interesting Broadway at night is a nuthouse IMO. I check out the music during the day.
  8. Too bad they couldn't have rolled down the stairs and off the edge of the balcony.
  9. Take half and spend on a couple of things that would be nice to have. The other half on a vacation.
  10. As a CBJ fan, I'm hoping that STL pulls this off.
  11. My dad's parents had an island on Lake Nippissing in Ontario. This was some 40 years ago (boy that dates me), but back then it was no power, no phone, not running water. Lots of quiet, fishing, exploring. I would like to go back, but I'm afraid as to what it looks like now.
  12. I cook my eggs the way my grandfather did his - what I call "steam fried". Fry your egg like normal, but just as the white is starting to set add some water and cover. Let the steam cook the rest of the white and you never have to flip another egg.
  13. How can 4 officals not see that? What the heck else are they looking at?
  14. Like to see any of you guys in that kind of shape and move like that at 75. ?
  15. It could, but helium allows for finding smaller leaks. These are large cooling systems for data centers and telecom systems.
  16. As someone once in supply chain, the helium we used was in leak detection of large cooling systems and providing a neutral charge in the system until delivery to customer. We had a very difficult time sourcing it one time (similar to this). Other companies were hoarding it and the US government hadn’t released anything from the reserve so supplies were very tight. I also read where helium manufacturing plant is going to be down 3 months for maintenance - which is prolly contributing to some of the “shortage”.
  17. What ever happened to "having fun"?
  18. All the pressure on youth and high school sports has left a big hole on officials as well.
  19. If this game was earlier in the series, I could see a response. Considering the hit was in the second period of a series closing game, the best play is hold off. Don't need to be taking CBJ players off the ice.
  20. Let's hope that is not the case.
