  1. One is a disadvantage because we didn't put ourselves in the driver's seat (or rather the NFL didn't allow us to). One is a disadvantage because we fairly lost. I'd rather put us in the driver seat, but I understand the weight you guys believe the bye week would benefit other teams.
  2. I don't disagree that the Bills did not want to replay the game until after Hamlin's condition improved. What I disagree with is that the NFL offered the Bills/Bengals to play the game after the Week 18 games and the Bills declined. I don't think this offer was ever made. The NFL should have said "to hell with it causing too much work to move a few dates (which no one knew who was traveling where anyway), lets push the playoffs back a week. We are going to make this right and make sure these two teams do not lose an advantage because they did the right thing."
  3. This is absurd. New England was "gutting our secondary" too in most people's opinions today and yet we won by 2 scores. How is that possible? You can't judge a game by its first 8 minutes.
  4. This provides no source, and no indication the players said this. You think that if Josh Allen was told they will reschedule the game and the playoff implications obviously known and he said "nah, I don't want to"? Doubtful. What also contradicts this is we may play the Bengals in 2 weeks. So we don't want to replay them now, but in 2 weeks its fine? Makes little sense.
  5. There is zero indication of this.
  6. Because it automatically tells the Bills and Bengals that they do not get the same opportunity as the other AFC Teams to improve their playoff position. It also tells future teams not to do what is good for the players bc the NFL won't go out of their way to make it right and will disadvantage you as a result.
  7. I don't either and prefer rescheduling but it isn't worse than not playing at all and defaulting to whoever has the 1st seed at the moment.
  8. We didn't punt last year but it was much closer than people remember. 26 to 21 with 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter. A long final drive by Josh that took 5 minutes and ended with a TD put the Pats out of their misery.
  9. They should've done a coin flip to decide the games outcome if they absolutely could not reschedule. I don't see how that is worse than just saying KC gets the top seed 😂
  10. They absolutely do not deserve it. I have said it a thousand times, the NFL should have moved mountains to ensure there was the least amount of competitive impact to teams, especially the two teams that were dealing with what happened that night. Instead they said 🖕, we've got money to make and just canceled the game outright. The Bills were screwed out of a chance to prove they could be 14-3, and win the top seed and all the benefits that come with that. The Bengals were screwed out of a chance to prove they could be 13-4, and win the 2nd seed and all the benefits that come with that. The Chiefs were screwed out of maybe, potentially, if the Bills make it to face them in the AFCCG then they have to play at a neutral site. Boo freaking hoo.
  11. Chargers don't have the luxury of resting their starters and coming out flat Saturday.
  12. Sucks so much it has 2nd lowest points allowed in the league (29 points less than 3rd lowest).
  13. No, because we are a full game ahead of them 13-3, and they are 12-4. As opposed to the Chiefs who are only a half game ahead 14-3. The NFL doesn't consider the Bills/Bengals game to exist anymore so the "what-ifs" of if they beat us don't either. Its the opposite caveat to the Chiefs stealing the 1st seed. Crap rolls down hill I guess. Pretty terrible that the two teams that put the player and their teams first were the most negatively impacted by NFL's makeshift rule changes. You'd think if the NFL had a backbone they'd have moved mountains to get the game played at another date even if it means moving the playoffs back a week, to ensure that both Cincinatti and Buffalo get the opportunity to maximize their playoff positions.
  14. Simmer down guys. There is zero chance they were mocking lifesaving CPR on a player. Clearly they were just idiots that were doing a celebration in the moment that has been done before not thinking of the optics.
  15. Why can't the Pats pick one of them up? I can't imagine they will stay on the hook for Mac for long. I just want Lamar to go to Carolina or something, would rather not see him on the field with Hill and Waddle. Baker, Garoppolo, even Brady and Rodgers can go wherever they want, they aren't scary.
  16. No one in this thread really knows for sure. It is possible he returns. It has not been ruled out. He will not return unless medically cleared, so those worrying about him can be at peace.
  17. The worst time slot of the lot. Besides maybe MNF and the short week. Makes me think they know Tua isn't gonna play.
  18. No one thought he'd replace Singletary as RB1, or even Cook as RB2. I seem to remember Beane or McDermott commenting that having him on returns frees someone else up to focus on receiving, not sure if it was Shakir or McKenzie. What if I told you threads like this were intense vitriolic responses to personnel decisions by the Bills management and you are getting back what you are dishing out? We gave the colts very little for Hines and vastly improved our return game even before today's game. It isn't a trade that needs to be criticized, and wasn't an "experiment" to replace our RBs.
  19. I'd argue their first round Chargers vs Jaguars is equivalent to our Bills vs Dolphins, while Chargers vs Chiefs is equivalent to potential Bills vs Bengals. The Dolphins haven't shown anything that the Jaguars haven't.
  20. We drew the toughest matchup we could draw for ourselves sure. But that is just Miami over Pittsburgh or New England who we trashed a total of 3 times. But not sure how it is more tough than anyone else's except KC who was gifted the bye week? Why do we always amplify our weaknesses, and understate our strenghts while doing the exact opposite for our opponents? I bet if you were chiefs fans, you'd be making the same comments after the Chiefs struggled against the Texans and Broncos, and yet they are "unstoppable". Besides Upsets (and obviously favoring Bills victories): Cinci has the Ravens, Bills, Chiefs Ravens have Bengals, Chiefs, Bills Chargers have Jaguars, Chiefs, Bills Jaguars have Chargers, Chiefs, Bills
  21. The NFL makes little sense sometimes. Raiders play the top defense in the league in the 49ers and hold their own. Raiders play the 23rd ranked defense and get blown up.
  22. Agree, but the Bills didn't get their chance to prove they will have a 14-3 record too and the tie breaker win over the chiefs but nevertheless the Chiefs get the 1st seed benefit of a bye week.
