  1. We are currently pissed KC is getting the bye when we have the edge in the 1 seed. At least I know I am. KC is pissed that there was a decent chance the Bills could lose to the Bengals and give them control of 1 seed again. Both teams have something to be pissed about, but you guys are saying the Chiefs fans shouldn't be pissed for some reason? Yes they'd be pissed they lost 1 seed because of a coin but at least it wouldn't be some indecisive arbitrary changing of the seeding rules.
  2. It's not like the Bengals rallied against the Bucs 17-3 two weeks ago in what looked like a potential blow out in the 1st half. No not at all. The Bucs beat the Bengals that game 😄
  3. The Chiefs would ideally want the chance to have both. Not sure why you guys don't understand that "they should be happy with what they came away with" isn't really a winning argument. The solution the NFL gave hurts and helps each team respectively which was their strategy. So every team has something to be thankful for and something to be pissed about. Like I said earlier they should have either played the Bills/Bengals game or flipped a coin to determine the result and not changed the rules to help/hurt teams.
  4. It really isn't difficult to understand, you are right. Just flip the situation in your mind. If the Bills were 14-3 and the Chiefs were 13-3 and the NFL told us we don't get home field advantage because the Chiefs didn't play one game, we'd be absolutely 100% furious. There is zero doubt about that.
  5. You are already getting upset at even the notion. Yes we controlled our own destiny. That wasn't the point. Being told we must split the benefits of the 1st seed because we don't know the outcome of a game another team played is complete and utter BS. That is what is happening right now with the Chiefs. If they win this weekend they proved they are 14-3, but the Bills have not proved they are 14-3.
  6. Yes but at least people can accept flipping a coin or whatever to determine that outcome and people would only have that to complain about. With their current sprawling "fix" they are arbitrarily changing the rules of the seeding instead leaving a lot of room for subjective criticism.
  7. Yes leaving us to take care of the Dolphins/Steelers/Patriots -> Bengals -> Chargers/Chiefs If Lamar comes back I could also see the Ravens beating the Bengals so then it would go Dolphins/Steelers/Patriots -> Chargers -> Chief/Ravens I know I am not giving the Jaguars much credit here but it keeps it simple to leave them out.
  8. To be fair, if KC against Denver was canceled and never played and the NFL told us that we needed to share the #1 seed benefits as a result, I'd be pretty annoyed too. They shouldn't be trying to divy up the benefits "fairly". They should just attribute a W/L/T to the bengals bills game by whatever means they want (I'd prefer actually playing it) and then following existing seeding protocol. Once the playoffs occur, we all know that whatever team loses and didn't have one of the benefits they should have, there is going to be a lot of complaining.
  9. Sean Payton (60%) has a worse playoff appearance record than Sean McDermott (80%) and he had a Drew Brees with at least 6 to 19 years experience his entire tenure. McDermotts single season missing the post season was Allen's rookie year. There is no reason to believe Payton would do better outside of grass is always greener on the other side. What we don't have will always be attractive to you guys for some reason, but sorry, the grass is pretty green over here so i think we will just stay put.
  10. Yeah, I thought that was a little overboard though haha. But it is a scenario.
  11. So unless the Broncos or Raiders pull off upsets, the playoff picture is going to look like this with Steelers/Dolphins/Patriots switching in for the 7th seed. Although if the Patriots win and Bengals win we get kicked to 3rd seed and play the Ravens. Really rooting for the Raiders tomorrow.
  12. Isnt Miami starting Mike Glennon against the Jets?
  13. Right and even then I don't want the neutral field either if the Chiefs have the winning percentage. Its not righting the inequity of not playing the Bengals/Bills game, its saying "hey chiefs won but we feel bad so the chiefs dont get ALL the benefits of the 1st seed" which doesn't fly with me. If we would have lost the Bengals game, the Chiefs would rightly have it and if we had won, we would rightly have it.
  14. You also lost the chance at 1st seed as if you beat the Bills and Ravens you'd be 13-4, if Chiefs lost to the Raiders they'd be 13-4 and if the Bills beat the Pats they'd be 13-4. 3 way tie went to the Bengals. I keep saying it but im so damn mad that they are going to ham fist the solution for this problem.
  15. The game should certainly be replayed. Can't believe they officially ruled that out.
  16. Well it is a Bengals fan on a Bills board trying to convincingly argue with Bills fans that the Bengals would have won a game that was not played 😂
  17. You weren't up by 4 scores man. You were up by 4 points. Tampa started out hot too 17-3 and it looked like you couldn't stop them. this is why they play the full 60 minutes.
  18. It doesn't matter if they didn't control their own destiny. Neither did the Chiefs who were depending on a loss for the Bills against Bengals. Fancy that #1 seed gift wrapped for them with a win over the raiders. Meanwhile Ravens can't win their division but can win HFA with a coin flip. Its just a inconsistent ***** show. I surely hope these are all just ideas in the press release and they release something more thorough and consistent tomorrow.
  19. Thats in the release? Why a coin flip for the Bengals/Ravens but KC gets bye (rightfully I guess by win %) but neutral site for AFCCG if both make it? I sure hope they write up a more consistent and well thought out set of conditions tomorrow that applies to all teams, not AFCCG gets this treatment and AFC North division gets this other treatment nonsense. Still wish the game would have been rescheduled instead. Would be so much more fair and easy.
  20. You have to consider Bengals Ravens if the Ravens win, I know everyone is discounting them winning but crazier things have heppened. 11-6 and 11-5 records. I believe they'd play against each other in the Wild Card. Neutral site there too?
  21. They could if they didn't cancel the bengals/bills game and the Bills won. So by announcing the game as canceled, Baltimore has 0% chance to win their division. So yes, that is the complaint. If this were the Bills and the Pats or Dolphins, we would be unimaginably pissed.
  22. The unequal number of games part contradicts the full 17-game regular season part. Id say the former takes precedence but the NFL is fudging this up royally.
  23. That's the other thing. They are instituting this decision and giving the Bengals the division championship before the game Sunday? If Ravens happen to pull off an upset it is going to be a shitshow.
  24. of course but I am referring to if the Chiefs win and the Bills win. Then Chiefs still get the bye week (win percentage) but AFCCG is played at neutral site? So we get special consideration why? Chiefs have the better win percentage in that scenario, they should get both. This picking and choosing the advantages of being #1 seed is just ridiculous. Just make the Bengals/Bills game up. Kick the playoffs a week back and move the pro bowl to week after Super Bowl.
  25. We do have to play a wild card game though? Nice. Really hate this method.
