  1. I think the problem people are having with statements such as the one you quoted is that people freak out when OBD attempts to make rules that may reduce the level of drunken idiots. Obviously, at that point OBD is just trying to ruin their fun. But attempting to have a family friendly environment is considered just craziness. People "should just leave their kids at home". Maybe it's because they know it won't change, or what, but its just nonsensical to hear the words "Don't bring your kid to the game, the drunken idiots might be bothered/bother him/her" I'm guilty of tailgating myself but I agree it is just out of control there sometimes. I would love to take my nephew to games but the crowd turns me off quite a bit to that. Sabres games are much better, I genuinely wonder why...probably the tailgating aspect.
  2. Pardon my lack of post history, but you are just being absurd. Jackson has no history of this. There was 1:52 left in the (EDIT: First half, second quarter haha) second half, he was clearly looking for a ref to quickly throw the ball to. It shouldn't have been a penalty or a fine. Stop being ridiculous.
  3. This right here. I don't understand how people think he will receive a top contract next year if he doesn't play well this year. I don't think it's even guaranteed he would receive a top contract from another team this year if we didn't tag him.
  4. The Patriots team in it's entirety does not have to be healthy for a win against them to be valid. All I was saying is we don't have to go around hoping they aren't healthy so we can win. Anyway, its neither here or there. I just wanted to put my two cents in on why it isn't good sportsmanship to "hope for injuries". Not to mention the karma factor is undeniable. How many bills fans were happy when brady hurt his knee? Karma sure did balance that one out.
  5. I don't post often, if at all, but I wanted to say there is a distinct difference between playing and beating a team that has an injured player, and playing and hoping a team has injured players. They don't all have to be healthy, you just don't have to hope they aren't.
  6. Again, just like you aren't saying it is just Fitz, we aren't saying it is just the defense. Most people acknowledge that Fitz is not a franchise QB for us, however he is not the cause of the Bills being 3-6, nor is he the leading factor. So it is quite frustrating when all I hear from friends and family is that we need a new QB as if it will transform the team. Not only that but they insist we draft a rookie and throw him into the fire. I am saying, YES let's draft a QB however let's do it right for once. Fitz is suitable for the time being. As for the "told you so", you all do the same everytime he makes a mistake. You know how many texts I got at the end of that game complaining about Fitz because he threw that pick? People ignore the fact that the defense failed to stop the Patriots from scoring 7 out of 9 drives.
  7. Yep, and he has quite a few less TD's than Fitzpatrick. Granted he is a rookie. The teams that drafted Wilson, Tannehill, Luck and Robert Griffin had Matt Moore, Tarvaris Jackson, Curtis Painter and Rex Grossman as their QB's. Each of them had less TD's total last year than Fitz has currently in 10 games.. I have this conversation with friends and family consistantly. I understand that we need and want a franchise QB, we crave it to have our own Brees, Manning, or RG3. Most people believe drafting a rookie qb first overall will transform this team. That it will give the team the "energy" to win games. It's a bunch of BS. Our biggest need right now is on defense, coaching, players whatever you think it is but it is simply defense. Changing our QB situation will not win us more games, because we score the points required to win. Our defense does not prevent the number of points required to win. We will never be good with a 30pts allowed a game defense. I do agree we need to draft a QB, we should have drafted one in this past draft. Let's go out and pick up a QB in the draft next year, but please oh please don't demand him to start next year! Give him time to develop and let Fitz do his thing under a hopefully improved defense next year. Give Fitz a break. Damn. I read this site without posting, just skimming what people are saying, and this time I had to say something.
  8. Does anyone know of a clear audio clip of Chris Berman and the "Nobody Circles the Wagons like the Buffalo Bills" I can't find a clear one anywhere that I can embed into my fantasy page.
