  1. Not from a logistical standpoint for 1 game no, but it is an unprecedented situation. Those are the rules though. Going to get all kinds of people riled up if you add rules on the fly as there will always be a subjective component that your team is being slighted. At least when utilizing existing rules you can fall back on "well thats the rules".
  2. Would you be ok with the NFL just giving us the win over Cinci bc everyone felt bad for Hamlin? I know I wouldn't. Yes, how you win absolutely matters.
  3. Yes, every team is getting hosed which again is the problem and will be the calling card for every other team that doesn't win the SB. The disadvantages for their team embellished while the advantages for the SB winning team embellished as well.
  4. Yes. Absolutely. I'll certainly remind Chiefs fans that they certainly shouldnt have had the bye.
  5. We are already getting hate that we should just forfeit the game. Just imagine for a second that the Bengals have to travel to Baltimore wild card weekend and get knocked out while we beat the chiefs at a neutral field. Every troll on the internet is going to constantly remind us of it. I actually wish we would have forfeited it since the NFL apparently wont let us replay it.
  6. Yes they really effed Cincinatti over, but I disagree with your solutions. The solution was to follow their own by-laws and either seed by win % or add week 19.
  7. Such a huge mistake. I hope we aren't advantaged by this as we are going to get a lot of hate if we win it all.
  8. The NFL didn't have to go outside of the rules though. They have 2 outs. 1) Win percentage dictates seeding 2) add a 19th week and play the damn bengals/bills game They decided they had a 3rd option to add convoluted rules thats just going to piss off various fan bases. I wonder if there is a chance the Owners tell them to go back to the drawing board today. You don't get upset about a rule change only after it disadvantages you.
  9. Just imagine if we win the Super Bowl because the Bengals lost @ Baltimore and we played at a neutral site against the Chiefs 😂
  10. The reality is that the Bills would play this game if given the chance. They are not being given the chance because the NFL refuses to move the playoff scheduling despite being clearly able to by adding a week 19. Instead they are creating convoluted rules that both advantage and disadvantage every team so now every team that doesn't win the Super Bowl is going to B word. The NFL fudged this up and the Bills are going to get some of the hate for it.
  11. Exactly. And every fan base that loses in these playoffs is going to blame the disadvantage given in this scenario for the loss and credit the victor with their advantage. Its going to be a ***** show. At least with a coin flip for Bills @ Bengals, you have a singular thing to blame. Exactly! They are opening advantages and disadvantages for every fan base to B word about.
  12. We are currently pissed KC is getting the bye when we have the edge in the 1 seed. At least I know I am. KC is pissed that there was a decent chance the Bills could lose to the Bengals and give them control of 1 seed again. Both teams have something to be pissed about, but you guys are saying the Chiefs fans shouldn't be pissed for some reason? Yes they'd be pissed they lost 1 seed because of a coin but at least it wouldn't be some indecisive arbitrary changing of the seeding rules.
  13. It's not like the Bengals rallied against the Bucs 17-3 two weeks ago in what looked like a potential blow out in the 1st half. No not at all. The Bucs beat the Bengals that game 😄
  14. The Chiefs would ideally want the chance to have both. Not sure why you guys don't understand that "they should be happy with what they came away with" isn't really a winning argument. The solution the NFL gave hurts and helps each team respectively which was their strategy. So every team has something to be thankful for and something to be pissed about. Like I said earlier they should have either played the Bills/Bengals game or flipped a coin to determine the result and not changed the rules to help/hurt teams.
  15. It really isn't difficult to understand, you are right. Just flip the situation in your mind. If the Bills were 14-3 and the Chiefs were 13-3 and the NFL told us we don't get home field advantage because the Chiefs didn't play one game, we'd be absolutely 100% furious. There is zero doubt about that.
  16. You are already getting upset at even the notion. Yes we controlled our own destiny. That wasn't the point. Being told we must split the benefits of the 1st seed because we don't know the outcome of a game another team played is complete and utter BS. That is what is happening right now with the Chiefs. If they win this weekend they proved they are 14-3, but the Bills have not proved they are 14-3.
  17. Yes but at least people can accept flipping a coin or whatever to determine that outcome and people would only have that to complain about. With their current sprawling "fix" they are arbitrarily changing the rules of the seeding instead leaving a lot of room for subjective criticism.
  18. Yes leaving us to take care of the Dolphins/Steelers/Patriots -> Bengals -> Chargers/Chiefs If Lamar comes back I could also see the Ravens beating the Bengals so then it would go Dolphins/Steelers/Patriots -> Chargers -> Chief/Ravens I know I am not giving the Jaguars much credit here but it keeps it simple to leave them out.
  19. To be fair, if KC against Denver was canceled and never played and the NFL told us that we needed to share the #1 seed benefits as a result, I'd be pretty annoyed too. They shouldn't be trying to divy up the benefits "fairly". They should just attribute a W/L/T to the bengals bills game by whatever means they want (I'd prefer actually playing it) and then following existing seeding protocol. Once the playoffs occur, we all know that whatever team loses and didn't have one of the benefits they should have, there is going to be a lot of complaining.
  20. Sean Payton (60%) has a worse playoff appearance record than Sean McDermott (80%) and he had a Drew Brees with at least 6 to 19 years experience his entire tenure. McDermotts single season missing the post season was Allen's rookie year. There is no reason to believe Payton would do better outside of grass is always greener on the other side. What we don't have will always be attractive to you guys for some reason, but sorry, the grass is pretty green over here so i think we will just stay put.
  21. Yeah, I thought that was a little overboard though haha. But it is a scenario.
  22. So unless the Broncos or Raiders pull off upsets, the playoff picture is going to look like this with Steelers/Dolphins/Patriots switching in for the 7th seed. Although if the Patriots win and Bengals win we get kicked to 3rd seed and play the Ravens. Really rooting for the Raiders tomorrow.
  23. Isnt Miami starting Mike Glennon against the Jets?
  24. Right and even then I don't want the neutral field either if the Chiefs have the winning percentage. Its not righting the inequity of not playing the Bengals/Bills game, its saying "hey chiefs won but we feel bad so the chiefs dont get ALL the benefits of the 1st seed" which doesn't fly with me. If we would have lost the Bengals game, the Chiefs would rightly have it and if we had won, we would rightly have it.
  25. You also lost the chance at 1st seed as if you beat the Bills and Ravens you'd be 13-4, if Chiefs lost to the Raiders they'd be 13-4 and if the Bills beat the Pats they'd be 13-4. 3 way tie went to the Bengals. I keep saying it but im so damn mad that they are going to ham fist the solution for this problem.
