  1. Of course it was. I had preplanned obligations that I was hoping this game wouldn't be in this time slot before the schedule was announced. Was able to move those obligations from 2pm to 4pm thinking id just be a bit late. I have never needed the game to end at 4 before and the one time I do it lasts til what? 5pm?
  2. On that we disagree. As I said above, the defense was phenomenal against Miami. I just meant it more as a knock on wood thing. Any time we say X part of the Bills game plan should be great against an opponent, it feels like it just isn't. Maybe its BBFS but is it BBFS if comes true sometimes?
  3. I feel like this is one of those things we hype all week "The o line is terrible 3 starters out, its in shambles" and then we are left scratching our heads with 0 sacks and the qb having all the time in the world. So I am not assuming anything yet. Yes. Defense was phenomenal yesterday. The 3rd string 7th round QB had one drive all game that would have put them in field goal range (let alone TD) if the Offense/Special teams didn't give huge field advantage. Edit: I mean literally the guy had 8 drives of less than 10 yards. 11 drives less than 20 yards.
  4. Yeah. Even our game. We steamrolled the Dolphins right. First quarter 14-0. Bills 182 yards Dolphins 14 yards. Game over right? Its just such a silly notion to think that could be indicative of an entire game.
  5. No but that plus the 75 yard drive equaling 10 points is well below the 16 points per game allowed by the best defense in the league let alone the 35 needed to beat the Bills. Throw in the other 4 pts from the td from the Bills 18 yard line after the INT if you want. Still only 14. The defensive performance was just not the problem this game.
  6. We understand what you are posting. It just makes no sense. Most of the dolphins points came off of drives that were helped more by the Bills offense/special teams than the Bills defensive play. The proof of this is in the 9/10 other defensive drives, the defense held Miami hard allowing 59 TOTAL yards in those 9 drives combined. Or a spectacular 6.5 yards a DRIVE. Suffice to say the Bills offense and special teams gifting the ball with better field position had a direct impact on the Dolphins ability to score points. The one exception being the 75 yard drive the defense allowed for a TD towards the end.
  7. You did. Are you really going to pretend you don't put the blame on the defense with these comments? The defense played an outstanding game.
  8. There is also a trend to complain the defense can't stop the 3rd string qb when the offense and special teams effectively give them a 40-75 yard head start and FG range from the get go. To place the blame solely on the defense here is ludicrous.
  9. There were like 10 missed block in the back calls. the 4th and 8 was particularly egregious though because Edmunds is in position to push him out of bounds but gets pushed from behind and the runner is just like ok, ill keep running then. FIRST DOWN!!! no comment from Romo or anyone. Found it around 5:17 in the "highlights":
  10. Are people really blaming the defense? Geez. Its like people don't even watch the game.
  11. Its a gift to the Chiefs that the Bills did not have the opportunity to prove that they could be 14-3 too with a tie breaker win against the chiefs. Just like it is a gift to us that the Bengals did not have the opportunity to prove that they could get another win and have the 13-4 tie breaker over us to get the 2 seed. Ours is a little more egregious because not having to play a whole freaking game and getting a guaranteed ticket to the divisional is pretty big but at least we get to play the banged up dolphins. Either way its a gift to guarantee a trip to the AFCCG with a win over the Jags even if they legit won the 1st seed. They need to get rid of the bye week altogether. Hopefully when there is 18 game season and 8 playoff teams.
  12. Yes what happened, happened, but that doesn't mean we can't comment on the gift of "beat the jags to get to the AFCCG once again" the Chiefs were gifted with. I am sure Mahomes and company will be showered with praise for getting them there too for a 5th straight year.
  13. Exactly. There is no way in hell Josh would get credit for coming back from a whole he himself dug. A lot of credit to the Jags defense not letting Herbert score more than 3 though.
  14. Mahomes scored 3 points in the second half of the AFCCG last year..... Edit: Now that I think about it, Mahomes scored 3 points in the 2nd half of a super bowl too.....(9 points total no TDs)
  15. You guys are all arguing semantics so whoever ends up being right can say "see I knew something I didn't actually know", or "see I was the rational one, he was never coming back". Just be happy that there is any chance Hyde will play. He certainly wouldn't be going through these lengths if there wasn't a real chance.
  16. Of course we have to think it has a lot to do with injuries and Hyde/White out most of 2022. Two top of the line players, add Von Miller then subtract him.... That is big. I wonder how many fish fans will be blaming injury after they mocked us week 3.
  17. Ok but the Bucs who have a 45 year old QB allowed him to play a half against the falcons? All different strategies. If the Giants come out flat this weekend will you blame this?
  18. To be fair guys, he could have been talking about hoping he comes back for Ravens AFCCG. Bills beat Miami, Jax/LAC Ravens beat Bengals/Chiefs Not going to happen but "one can hope".
  19. Thats fine but it is much different than the people definitively saying there is 0% chance he comes back. If he had 0% chance to come back then theres is 0% chance that they have him going through the motions of coming back.
  20. Key words are "They have to buy the gear they want to keep". Why would an NFL player get to take their helmet/uniform for free from the company they work for? I also am in the being on any NFL team is an accomplishment camp. Hell if I am Ryan Fitzpatrick, I am having a spiffy helmet for every damn team I was on in an man cave / office / or hallway display in my home.
  21. The 3 weeks is not medical advice. Its NFL procedure. As far as I know the commentor was saying they'd want to hold Hyde out until the conference round out of an abundance of caution which is an arbitrary line in the sand.
  22. The thing about beating Mahomes badly is that teams have an annoying penchant to let him back in. I feel like he's had an abnormally high number of double 3+ score comebacks in the playoffs.
  23. Thats fair but you confirmed ruled out which was misleading.
  24. Costs a roster spot if they actually activate him. They have a 21 day window to activate him before he must go back to IR if i remember correctly.
