  1. So your sole criteria in a HC is a super bowl winning HC? lmao. Because no matter what you always fall back to "he hasn't won the big one". So here are your choices from past 20 years: Andy Reid (Chiefs HC) Sean McVay (Rams HC) Bruce Arians (Bucs weird GM role) Bill Belichick (Pats HC) Gary Kubiak (Coaching in Europe) Pete Carroll (Seahawks HC) John Harbaugh (Ravens HC) Tom Coughlin (Retired) Mike McCarthy (Cowboys HC) Sean Payton (Broncos HC) Mike Tomlin (Steelers HC) Tony Dungy (Retired) Bill Cowher (Retired) Jon Gruden (Blacklisted) Brian Billick (Arizona State Advisor) Dick Vermeil (Retired) Congrats Brian Billick. You are the sole survivor of PBF81's criteria for HC for the Bills and we'd like to take you over Sean McDermott because you have PROVEN you can win a super bowl. 😂 Oh wait we could have had Sean Payton. The guy that made the playoffs 60% of the time with Drew Brees at QB for 15+ years. But at least he showed he can win a Super Bowl 15 years ago!
  2. Lol. It always goes back to super bowls with you. Yeah thats the ultimate goal, but it can't possibly be the rationale that McDermott can't hire people he has coached with before because it is a detriment to the team bc "nepotism" but andy reid can because he just happened to coach with the "right" guys 😂 Also the Dorsey, McDermott, Washington, Holcomb, and Shula all coached with Carolina on the Panthers run to the Super Bowl so there's that. No, they didn't win the game so that cancels it allllll out for you. Edit: We have already discussed that Andy Reid "collapsed" in the playoffs for nearly two decades prior to winning a super bowl.
  3. Dave Toub (Assistant Head Coach): Coached with Reid in Philly Matt Nagy (Offensive Coordinator): Coached with Reid in Philly Steve Spagnoulo (Defensive Coordinator): Coached with Reid in Philly Its like you guys just make up trends that can plausibly lead less informed people to ridiculous conclusions like McDermott is big on nepotism and it is hurting the Bills 😂 Edit: Not to mention McDermott first hired Daboll and Frasier who as far as I recall never coached with him. You can't make this crap up.
  4. If you want to anticipate that adding Rodgers puts the Jets ahead of the Bills then fine. I dont care. The point you are ignoring is that you claim it is the 13-3 Bills are the ones who have to prove it, not the Jets who went 7-10 last year or Rodgers who led the Packers to 8-9.
  5. I dont want to argue, but when you say the below and someone says "well this is partially why" and you throw it back at them because "they aren't proving anything" then what are we even doing here? 😂
  6. I see, yeah I see that now that you point it out - I wouldn't have gotten that. I still think it could have been a bit crisper and not so sketch looking.
  7. Im not sure I like the lion in the logo. It looks stretched out, too thin, and I dont mean to insult the artist but looks too amateurish.
  8. Neither are you. Does anyone remember the Broncos last year and the AFC West on paper was going to rock the AFC and maybe even knock the chiefs out of the playoffs? It is ironic that the teams that have proved nothing in 3 years get a pass based on projections but the team that has "proved it on the field" the last 3 years has to "prove it on the field" 😂
  9. I think what most people are saying is your criticism should be saved for the justice system that is responsible for getting justice for these victims. But I guess you could make the argument that the NFL enables him to evade that justice through the millions of dollars he earns too so they do deserve some criticism. Maybe show that A to B to C as opposed to going from A to C or crime right to NFL responsibility to punish and more people will accept that. Funny how abuse allegations occur againt almost immediately after his 3 year probation ended. Almost like he was just waiting.
  10. Eh, I've met my share of bills fans who throw the team under the bus at the first indication of trouble. You are right, most of the time it is just venting but its difficult to watch a game when someone becomes hypercritical at the first sign of adversity. For them either we stomp every opponent or it means we suck. To each their own in their fandom though.
  11. Isn't this the blowhard that said Allen was done for the season and maybe next season after the elbow injury? Edit: Yep, it is.
  12. I was guilty of "wrong Josh" bc I always thought we took the "raw talent, undeveloped" guy over the guy who had it altogether and thought we did it once again trying to outsmart everyone else. The Jets drafting Darnold too when we had all the fantasies of moving up too made it worse. So very glad I was wrong. yeah once he was our QB we had to let it play out and once you saw the other QBs play, it was clear it was a free for all for who was going to be best of class.
  13. Are you kidding? No one has told you the answer to that question? I mean it isn't about Andy Reid, he clearly has two Super Bowls now, but the guy is not above reproach. How about for an offensive coach his offense led by Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Tyreek Hill didn't score a touchdown in a Super Bowl and lost in a not very competitive fashion 31-9? That doesn't go on your radar as a 13 second or Bengals loss level of screw up? Like I said it isn't about Andy Reid, but you guys are right about one thing, winning super bowls sure makes people ignore the other stuff.
  14. Convenient excuse except you clearly don't give McD the same leeway. Maybe 7th time's a charm? McDermott had 5 years with Allen in the midst of a major rebuild and took us to the AFC Championship in year 3 of Allen. Andy Reid was entrenched in Kansas City for 4 years before drafting Mahomes and even then Mahomes got to sit on the bench for a year to total 5 years of building. The roster itself was already a playoff roster as they consistently went to the playoffs. You condense down McDermott and Beane having to do both at once (rebuild roster, and develop Allen), and you hopefully can quickly see they have accomplished quite a bit in this short time.
  15. Its not shrugging your shoulders to say "who's the guy?", it is shrugging our shoulders and saying your mythical head coach who is going to come in and win a super bowl is just that - mythical. Its all fun and games until next HC bombs it and gets fired too, and we go full rebuild and waste the 2nd half of Allen's career. There is zero reason we can't win now in the playoffs. This "McDermott can't do it" is just made up nonsense by people who want change for the sake of their imagination conjuring getting a HOF HC who will carry us through a dynasty. Andy Reid has two decades of no Super Bowl winning HC playoff history until he won a super bowl.
  16. Sean Payton is somehow going to win you a Super Bowl because he stumbled into one in 2009 but Sean McDermott isn't because its impossible to win a Super Bowl when you've coached for the same team 6+ years. Its a rule, look it up.
  17. Exactly. But don't worry guys, Pegula just has to pick the "right" available HC through careful vetting. We won't waste our super bowl window with that. No not at all. Its hilarious bc a lot of these guys would clamor for Sean Payton as if he didn't just lead a decade of playoff losses with Drew freaken Brees at QB.
  18. McVay is an offensive minded coach who scored 3 points in a super bowl. That is vastly worse than 13 seconds even with Goff. Vastly worse. Pretty sure Chiefs are rated as the best team in the league and we went from: Chiefs win 26-17 Chiefs win 38-24 Bills win 38-20 Bills lose 42-36 Bills win 24-20 It is beyond stupid to suggest that the team has not made the improvements needed to get over the hump. 2022 was an anomaly season. But sure blame the coach if it makes you feel better.
  19. Kyle Shanahan lost the Super Bowl and has never won one. Doug Pederson won one 👍 Sean McVay: Year 1 Lost in Wild Card (11-5) Year 2 Lost his 1st Super Bowl with a pathetic 3 point peformance in his 2nd year of coaching the Rams. (13-3) Edit and this is absolutely positively worse than 13 seconds by faaaaaaar. Year 3 Did not go to playoffs (9-7) Year 4 Lost in Divisional (10-6) I am 99.99999% sure if he did this with the Bills you guys would have been making posts saying we need to make a change just as you are doing now. Imagine that Year 5 he won the Super Bowl. Edit 2 I also think he was incredibly lucky to get the Bengals this year. The Bills or Chiefs probably would've led to another embarrassment. But he got the ring so it doesn't matter. The idea that McDermott can't do this because he is in Year 6 and not Year 5, is so dumb. Edit: I also don't understand why McDermott and Beane don't get at least some acknowledgement that they strive to get over that hump. They came a long way from that 2020 team that got stomped by the best team in the league.
  20. Your problem is you don't see that your demand for a championship by dismantling the very organization that is currently competing for one can be detrimental to your stated goal.
  21. Who are you going to hire? You can easily wind up with a plethora of bad coaches who ended up dismantling the team. For what? McDermott isn't the playoff problem. Texans we had young Josh Allen playing hero ball. Chiefs we didn't have the roster Chiefs we had the roster but we botched 13 seconds Bengals the team was just out of it. You could just tell they were mentally fatigued. The question is absolutely 100% who are you going to hire?
  22. It's a pretty relavent question. A lot of people are presenting the argument that McDermott is preventing us from winning and that subtracting him makes us better. If we just stick any competent person in there then 13 secs doesn't happen. It's nonsense. You win by consistently making the playoffs and competing which we are doing. Pretty sure only 2 HC in the last 2 decades have won multiple super bowls. You don't throw consistent playoff football in the toilet unless you have a surefire plan. Talk about wasting the super bowl window with a rebuild.
