You know this week, WGR in the morning has been posing the question different ways about the SB chances, and what would need to happen, or what is the one position deficiency. There is a lot of cautious optimism. I thought whoever wins the AFC should win the SB. I’m almost afraid to say it, but if it’s not the Chiefs, it could be us. The Saints are solid, but they are beatable.

Are the Patriots now the drought-era Bills?
machine gun kelly replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a bit premature. I’m enjoying them losing as much as anyone else, but they could get their opt outs back next year, have a decent draft and be in it. Their days of domination are over, and I just don’t know how long BB will coach. I was thinking the other day, if BB has another mediocre year next year, I could see Kraft going to him and asking him to elevate McDaniels to head coach, he takes on the GM or President role and not be the face of the franchise for his last years. The reality is I don’t care as McBeane is creating a long term top organization that will receive a ton of recognition after this weekend when we hopefully beat the Whiners (Steelers). -
Mike Tomlin over or underrated
machine gun kelly replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In 14 years, he’s never had a losing record. He’s had a few 8-8’s, but outside of Belichick, I think has the most winning record in present day coaching. -
Tim, as long as we beat both teams by 21, I’m in. Is that an ok compromise? I’m bouncing back and forth on the Rams game and something else, and fun seeing 17-3 at the half. Now waking up tomorrow and the Rams win by 40 would be a nice start to a Friday. Then we can finally stop hearing the Pats are coming back crap.

The only team concerning me is the Chiefs for obvious reasons. We will have to be at the top of our game scoring to beat them. The Browns yes have played mostly bad teams, their defense GB is opportunistic, and they run well. That said, it won’t be easy for Chubb to run when we are throwing 20+ yard passes down the field torching them. Sal made a good point this morning Allen was #1 for the season with the most passes of this distance in a game against the 49ers, a top 5 defense all year of any NFL team. That will take the Chiefs off their comfort zone and the game will be forced to be in the hands of Mayfield. He can’t compete with Allen nor can any other QB from the 18 class. The Chiefs are the only team we have to be seriously concerned how we can beat them. I just hope we have everyone including a healthy defense (Milano) and Brown. I’m a huge Bills Homer as all of you know, but I know we can beat any other AFC contender on a decent day. They also can beat us. Not cocky. Beating the Chiefs will be us at our best. Shady, thanks for starting a good discussion thread. Tim, I get it, but I guess being a competitor 100 years ago, I hate the record shows we were 10-6 last year when we would have been 11-5 without even trying if the starters played. It didn’t help us in the playoffs like it didn’t help the Dungy Colts. I’d rather have guys in a rhythm, even if it means the starter only play a half or 3 quarters. These guys are creatures of habit.

Bills sign Brandon Beane to contract extension!!!
machine gun kelly replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But, but, but, that troll a few weeks ago said he was getting fired and started that incredible thread. 😡😁😃😅😆☺️😇 Happy for Beane and expected this a long time ago. The funny thing is they never had to announce anything. Those two are a dynamic duo. Welcome to Steelers like success. Nothing regarding the game this week, but a well run organization with consistency for decades in ownership, management, and coaching. Love it! -
Week 14 Expert Picks...Many picking the Bills
machine gun kelly replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You might be right, but I see a Bills/Chiefs Championship game. I like the way you think as I’d rather face the Stillers, than the Chiefs. If we could beat the Chiefs, no one from the NFC scares me. Our SB lies on the Chiefs. -
Marshawn Lynch Would Un-Retire For A Contender

I say we give Earl Campbell some steroids, bionic walker and there will be hell to pay. C’mon. These “let’s bring back...” Dumb. We finally I think have a line. Let’s see what Moss and Motor can do. -
Week 14 Expert Picks...Many picking the Bills
machine gun kelly replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hold on team. Put you’re Greg Brady Hawaii Tiki back in the Flutie box (curse reference for the youngins and if you don’t know Greg Brady shame on you as dorky as that show was in the 70’s), did you not see all the other favorites picked like the Bucs, Packs, and so on. The Steelers look bad the last t two weeks, we look excellent, and they lost two defensive pieces. Our guys are getting healthy minus Brown. It’s a sound pick, but many of us are so worried about juju, it makes sense. Im not saying we definitely win, but I like my chances. -
I can roll with you on the first point. How many young guys make some mistakes. I’ll table judgement. I don’t take a lot of stake in ex players as many have an agenda. He may be a self centered son of a gun, amd maybe his coach is not guiding him well, but it could also be a lot of other things. nothing against the op as a good topic of conversation. I just don’t know.

The Ike Boettger appreciation thread
machine gun kelly replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good post GB, and I remember you cheerleading for him. He has a great opportunity over the next four games plus playoffs to cement his starting role, and Ford may just be a back up for the starting Guards. -
Feleciano replacing Winters at RG in the game
machine gun kelly replied to ILBillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mentioned in another thread, and agree this is the best line barring injuries these guys gave Josh a ton of time to sit back in the pocket against a pretty good defense. -
Not that I care as I really never even look these things up unless you guys make a thread, but at the risk of Sounding like Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory, how do you have power rankings come out before the Ravens play the Cowboys. What if Dallas pulled out an upset? Wouldn’t that affect their ranking. Honestly I don’t care and prefer just to see the graphic who is leading the divisions and who are the current wild cards and their rankings based on their wins/losses. That at least for the week makes a projection of who could be possibly our opponent in week 1 of the playoffs. I enjoy those graphics.

Is there a cap for coordinators in the NFL?
machine gun kelly replied to Billsfanatixs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So when Gruden was hired for Tampa back around 2002, the Glaziers were concerned as he was considered then an offensive hit shot, but the Bucs were known over 10 years (not then when he came into the organization, but later overall) for their punishing defense. Monte Kiffin was offered $4 mil. To stay as defensive coordinator and that kept him from taking offers for a head coach in D1 college. He did later, but the point is as mentioned above there is no cap, but owners don’t usually want to pay coordinators that much money. Besides Kiffin was getting older so he accepted to basically run the defense for the Bucs. Daboll is younger (I think 45) so it’s not $ that will keep him here. He may for reasons of wanting to get a ring under his belt before he accepts a HC offer, but he will go one of these years. Now he might interview for positions even if we don’t win the SB just to get experience interviewing for HC jobs. There is nothing we can do about it so why worry. A good leader wants to develop his people, so it’s a plus if McD helps Daboll get his own team. It also helps McD as hot assistants who are valued will want to be on an explosive team like the Bills, and know they will have a HC who will help develop them for their team someday.
