Jack, I can relate in it’s become so normal to always have a feeling when does the ball drop. I still have this sick feeling like, yeah this is great, but wait we’ll lose in the first round of the playoffs. It’s like battered wife syndrome. But then I remember how myself, friends and family used to always feel when we were down in the Kelly years, “don’t worry we can score in less than a minute”. I feel like collectively the confidence is coming back and when I hear the WGR morning show they posed an interesting question. It resonated with me as the guys have stated where are you’re expectations in the beginning of the year to now. For me it was winning the East, double digit wins, and winning a home playoff game. Now, I’m up to where Sal pointed it out the other day on his bit, he wrote an article before the season he expected what I wrote, but in addition we should make it to the AFCC. I agree with him now. I don’t where you guys are at, or do you realistically think we will beat the Chiefs to get back to the SB.

Virg, thanks as always. I can never comment on all of you’re points, as too many, but just two. First, I’ve been noticing for weeks how clean Allen’s pocket by outstanding line play, but then Allen is great with his escapability, but unlike years past doesn’t take off too many times. On a lighter note, I honestly believe Allen should start intentionally throwing it poorly to Knox (but don’t tell him). He’ll be an automatic. It sounds silly, but when the ball is thrown poorly, he can’t have his mind start racing about what to do next and just catches it. Virg., lastly it was actually anti-climatic, and great. It was great to go into this game knowing we already had the division locked up, and McD still played the starters until the 4th quarter. Looking forward to next Monday Virg.

Have you even looked at the NFL team stats. The Bills are second in the league in passing behind the Chiefs, but barely at 283 yds./ game, vs. the Ravens 31st at 174 yds./game. The Ravens are 178 yds./game in rushing #1, vs. the Bills are 110 yds./game 20th. Last time I checked 352 total yds./game loses (Ravens) to 393 yds./game (Bills) and we faced and won more games to winning teams than anyone in the NFL. The Ravens just like they did against the Chiefs in the beginning of the season will fall behind against us, and they will be forced to pass. They are the weakest there. If they run up three TD’s against us running, ok maybe, but I don’t see it happening. The Broncos were ok on defense, the Steelers and 49ers, are two of these defenses in the league. The Ravens against weaker opponents are 9th in defense, and we are to some surprise 10th. As Drago said, YOU WILL LOSE! Meaning them, not you. Something to think about.

The Williams comments although tasteless is not worth getting even remotely upset. Let’s not have the skin of a grape. He’s meant to be in the PS. Nice guy, but can’t hold a candle to what we have now in Diggs, Brown, Beasely, Davis, and McKenzie. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but it’s the strength of our team. Maybe next year in the draft we get another TE. I know Smith had a couple of catches between his buffet (my god, I kept thinking about the Fat Bastage clip from how much for the babie), and Knox with some mistakes also made some nice catches.

I know people don’t like the Pats examples, but more times than not, they played starters if not injured for at least a half. It makes sense. Keep them in rhythm. Worrying about an injury could happen on one play. For example, if Beasely could play, but would benefit from rest, then sit him. The same goes for Brown, Tre, Milano, Edmunds, or anyone else you might have a concern.

Ethan, I’ve been steadfast Milano should stay and way too many people are not evaluating Milano’s importance to this team. He’s better than a lot of well paid WIL Backs in the league who are paid as much if not more than what Spotrac estimates his value. Ill wait though as we don’t know who we retain on the team. There are a bunch of 30+ vets that either will need to redo their contracts or get purged, amd we don’t know Beane’s draft strategy. If you’re Beane, you probably would want to keep getting younger and developed, aka, keep them both, draft the holes, and move on from older guys. It’s how you remain good for years.

Fair enough Ganesh. These guys are used to travel. I mentioned it’s about being home until we face the Chiefs, and by some good fortune they lose in the divisional round, we play at home all the way through to the SB. No NFC team scares me at all. The Saints, Packers, and Bucs all have flaws. Of these three, the most balanced is really the Bucs. They have a better defense then the other two. It’s a ways away so we can cross that later. I’ve said before, this AFCC game if us and them, will be our SB. It will also probably have the highest ratings of all time for an AFCC game.

Respectfully disagree. We win and get 2nd seed is not about the fans. It’s ensuring we okay weaker opponents than the Chiefs. We are second and get the 7th seed. Then in the second round, we get the second worst team as the Chiefs will get the worst seeded. Then we are ina rhythm, going to KC. The fans is not the issue. Besides, if Cuomo the way he is posturing for the rapid testing before entry will allow maybe 6000 fans or more, but he wants it for political reasons. I won’t be there, but my friends would love to go, and for younger persons who’ve never been to a Bills home playoff game, it’s amazing however many fans are there. Buffalo deserves it. I agree homefield throughout the season is a non issue which is why Vegas is only giving 1.5 pts for homefield vs. the traditional 3.

I still contend unless injured, we play the starters at least through the first half. If the Steelers win and we lose, we go back to the third seed. It’s not so much about fans, but Sal said yesterday morning, we play keep away from KC until the AFCC game. We do that and we can beat any other AFC playoff team including the Ravens. The problem with the Ravens is just one guy, Lamar. He can be mediocre at times and then explodes with a 30 yard run. McD is the best though at containing a guy like him. For the most part, they did that last year with him and Lamar and the Ravens may have won, but it was his worst performance last year until their loss to the Titans.

I loved how after Josh tried the stiff arm, he threw it out there screw you BB, when he threw his arm out there. That guy is Kelly 2.0.

Get the sauce with the misses going (macaroni and gravy) in early am, church, gym, Sunday ore game, bills at 1pm, Sunday dinner, and fall into a football coma watching the best 4pm game and in the old days, the kids when little climbing into bed with us for NFL PRIMETIME, at 7pm. My boys when little absolutely loved Boomer with his phrases (HE COULD GO ALL THE WAYY!, RUMBLING BUMBLIN, and so on) Im a fart as I hate these night games. Probably as I get up no matter what at 5 am, or earlier based on medical cases and drive time.

Shady, no argument on rotation, but just it’s not like the football gods chose these matchups. It’s just simply how we finished and them. Anyway, I’m sure he an others know that part. s9me folks just don’t know scheduling. There is no magic to it. A different nfc division every four years, a different afc division every three years and you face the same seeded afc opponents the next year of the other two divisions and no deviating from it. Next year we get the afc and nfc south, and the first seeded AFCW (KC), and the afcn (Steelers). The original poster made a mistake, but didn’t want point out we didn’t face the Chiefs for three years. Not a big deal. Go Bills tonight.

I used to coach, but nothing special, just youth football until each of my boys were 12 and 13 (career wouldn’t allow me to help with HS ball) We just used simple phrases like hike, but my guess would be a two word short one is long enough for offensive players to not have a false start, but short enough the defense can’t anticipate to shoot a gap. This is pure speculation. If you really want to know, you should call into the Movin the Chains guys as Jim Miller usually has an accurate answer to these type of questions. They do a lot of this stuff in the off season teaching different aspects of the game. They are on 3-7pm on NFLR. A lot of guys here like their show.
