  1. John, agreed on Tampa. I give them the edge simply because of the soar subject of TE’s. Evans Godwin Miller Brate Gronk Howard
  2. OP, be careful. If you’re not absolutely sure on a data point, these guys will correct you. I didn’t have the heart to tell you what’s been said on the two plays. No worries.
  3. I don’t see where we could get the $ for Houston, but he would be the best of the group. I don’t know if Beane would want a one year rental for him, but I’d be for him if they are going to spend $.
  4. Good call by Beane and by McKenzie. He can lobby McD for more time, make an impact, and given he’s young on possibly a SB contender, could lobby for a better contract next year when there is $. It’s a smart move for both sides.
  5. Hey bud, don’t feel attacked. If I’m part of that for you I’m sorry. I’m just saying it’s going to be ok, and I don’t care how many weapons they put on Cam, he’s still a 10 year 59% completion guy. The jets maybe taking a rookie means a learning curve. Tua people are hard on but he played only half a season. He stunk, but honestly so did Josh in the beginning. All good brother. As far as counter opinions we have the second best offense in the NFL and a defense that improved dramatically in the back half of last year. Not many teams have a too 5 offense and defense. don’t feel attacked though. That’s reserved for trolls on the board. NOT YOU!
  6. JG, I meant this not for a wish as that is a freakin nightmare, just we are thr kings now in the East. This would be a catastrophie that is the only thing to change it. Josh is a tough cookie and has become very smart not to take the bad hits. We’ll be ok friend. Believe me of that horrible thing happened, we’d all be sharing Xanax pills. It won’t.
  7. Hondo buddy. Never fear Allen is here. We’ll be fine pal. We have a defense that was twice as good in the second half than the first this year. You can’t evaluate a team on the KC game when all of you’re four WR’s were hurt. we had the #2 offense. We extended needed people. A lot of people wanted a big splash, but that was Diggs last year. Let’s get through the draft bud and then take a breath. I’ve always enjoyed you’re takes so four seconds in, four seconds out on breaths. If Allen tears an ACL, yeah panicked time. Now, not so much.
  8. You guys are bored if you’re debating the 2022 backup QB. I’ll think about that one in 2022.
  9. And with the 30th pick, the Bills pick... Ok see ya guys later, I’m driving 18 hours back to Tampa. But you just go here. Umm no. I’ll never go to the draft. I just don’t understand the draw at all. I barely watch the thing, just wait for our pick, get my notice on the phone and back to life.
  10. Chris Simms has won me over with sound opinions, well researched, doesn’t seem to care if people like or dislike his takes. He’s been right a lot more than wrong. Something to consider. Thanks for sharing Thurm.
  11. We were 14th in defense, 16th in points so average, not bad. We improved as we became healthy from Seattle thereafter, but we were 2nd in offense. It’s not that we have to make incredible improvements, but just move into the top 10. We were a little spoiled as we were 3rd in defense in 2019, but partially influenced by playing the NFC Least. We need more pressure from the front four. There is no denying it, but to say we had a bad defense is just not accurate. We were 13-3, 15-4 if you count the playoffs, and by god we had a bad game against the Chiefs. Everyone seems to forget our defense held the Ravens to 3 pts. the week before. I don’t think Star is the next coming of Donald, but he’s a solid DT. To the OP’s point, drafting a DT is not a bad idea if one is available, and I’m not sure if we can get an impactful DE, but I’m sure it’s on their radar.
  12. Happy B Day coach belated. We love ya bud. Hopefully someone shares this thread with him so he knows what he means to Buffalo.
  13. Solid response my friend. I hope you’re right on Ertz. I also think it’s possible we take a speed wr in the draft. The Sammy talk was fun for that role. It’s kind of a wait and see. I am with you we need speed.
  14. This guy gets $18 mil. Per. Wow, Diggs is looking better and better. He’s not even remotely worth it. He’s missed 17 games in four years.
  15. Just put in a Google search 2021 free agent tracker. They have it broken out by division.
  16. Based on the poll, just about everyone agrees, but they are not getting an impact guy at Edge at 30. You can then assume Beane is looking around for partners to move up. In 2017, KC traded from 27th to get to 10th, their 3rd round pick and 1st in 2018 to get Mahomes. I’m not sure if an Edge Rusher is worth that much, but that’s a template of what it would take to get one of the premier guys this year. Given the talent on our team, I’d do it if, and a big if the Edge Rusher is that good. You draft gurus can let us know if there is one that awesome to use that capital. I’ve seen lists in searches of the top 10, but don’t know if any are really that good. Discuss. That’s what I thought. I’ve already given my thoughts on Ngakoue was a miss especially at $13 mil.
  17. John, I think they are going to be balanced in the draft. Look at last year. DE RB WR QB K WR CB They extended now a G, T, and LB, and some other role players. That was a very balanced draft. We’re most likely going to and not in this order grab maybe a RB, G, TE, WR (speed), DE, CB or S. They’ll probably stack up their board at each position and then rate, and take whatever comes to them. Beane has a tendency to move up more than down, so this could be interesting.
  18. While we can agree if we want a player, we can do it, but Beane just took us out of cap hell and we went 6-10. He wants to win now and later. His words. The cap is not going to explode in 2022. I believe it was projected to be $203.5 mil. One of the capologists here broke it down. I can’t remember his source, but check the thread on the cap. He mentioned in 2023 is when we’ll see a big leap to $225 mil., so basically catches up to what it would have been if we didn’t have that little societal problem we don’t discuss (Mods I did my best not to say that word p.n....c). 2024 is the time we start to really feel these new contracts. This may go up faster, but that’s if we go back to 100% occupancy in our stadiums. I honestly have no idea how the Governors are going to manage their respective states. It’s all good news, but suggests we are being careful. All of the contracts we drew up in 2019 and before were predicated on a cap going up $10 mil./yr. avg. for the previous 8 years.
  19. Broncos Jags Colts Jets Chargers Any one of them have a ton of cap space and except for the Colts are bad teams.
  20. I know it’s a pain. I just go to YouTube and look at the title Drought or others put up and you can find there. It’s still a nice gesture and one extra step to see it.
  21. You make some good points Badolz, but consider the following. yards per attempt 2020. Houston 8.3/ attempt Minnesota 7.8 GB 7.7 Vegas 7.7 KC 7.6 Buffalo. 7.5 Now we can parse to passes over 20, over 40, amd so on, but using this simple stat, three teams above us weren’t in the playoffs. Most likely because they were playing from behind. Hollister is a cheap way to manage losing Smith and Kroft. Would it have been nice to get Ertz, Rudolph, Gronk, sure, but they were too expensive.
  22. I certainly hope we get him back.
