Patrick Mahomes foot surgery
machine gun kelly replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope he is ok. I don’t wish injuries on anyone. At least he has the whole off season to get healthy. -
Cheekitowaga Don. Replaced by Favre. Hey Ice, nice to hear from you bud. Happy you’re guy won MVP. Our guy will get there and has a lot of time to get it. I really thought the Packs were going to beat the Bucs, and I live here now. Too bad we didn’t have a Packs - Bills SB. Coudve been what should’ve happened in the first SB, but before my time. Anyway, nice to hear from you. Don’t be a stranger.

Is it time for Gronk to come home?
machine gun kelly replied to BuffaloRebound's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tubster, yes down here in Tampa it was non stop about whether to trade him. I was in the camp Tamp would benefit from him learning from Gronk and Brady. It became moot as he was hurt early in the year. He’s definitely an upgrade, but it’s one year on his rookie deal and then have to pay him. -
Potential 2021 RB - SB streaker

Oh, those troopers gave it to him alright. Liked the Barry Sanders/Dave Meggett spin move though. It was funny and incredibly stupid as you know he’s not getting off that charge. -
Is it time for Gronk to come home?
machine gun kelly replied to BuffaloRebound's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As to Howard, he has one year left on his contract at $6 mil. so would have to be a trade. He’s good for 500 yards a season, but it was believed he would take a good step this year before his injury. You have to ask, do you want to give up a pack for that price and is he worth it. He’s good as I’ve watched for several years, but us he worth this year a draft pick. As to Gronk, he’s never leaving Brady, and he is still impactful, but how many years does he really have left? He also costs more to bring on board. McBeane would never do it. -
I read both and I’m close. If you have to get one FA upgrade, and you look at the positions we could use an add it’s RB (no we need a young explosive one, I.e. Harris in the draft), an edge rusher (way too expensive in FA), CB (a nice add, but we have some talent in the 2nd sitting next to Hyde, Poyer, and White), and TE. Whether it’s Henry, injury issues, but maybe, or if there is another that’s a game changer, this position group is less in the tight end market. The only problem is it eats up $ even if constructed well for any of the needed extensions. We’re not as far off as has been stated so it’s like what Beane said, no big splashes. I’d love a TE in FA, I just know if Beane can accomplish everything. The next two years we have the AFCS/NFCS, then the AFCN/NFCN. This upcoming year could be another good one. Some competition, but this past year was very competitive.

A complete offense matters
machine gun kelly replied to FieldGeneral's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As he was in July of 2020. The Bucs were smart pick him up in two to three days this summer. I was hoping, but didn’t predict nor did just about anyone about Moss and Singletary. -
The Bills defense was 14th. 13th on pass defense (a disappointment given the previous two years), and 16th on rush defense. Basically we were used to top 5 the previous two years so we went from one of the best to avg. On offense though we were 3rd, and 2nd in points. Now that was an incredibly dramatic improvement. If you listened to the whole podcast, he wasn’t a Homer. He discussed cap hits on different players and inferred Morse is a possible cap casualty and stated Feliciano might be about the same at a lower cost. Sal seems to give a fair assessment not dodging talking about deficits of the Bills, but not playing the doom and gloom game I’m reading right now. I didn’t hear we are the best, but I also didn’t hear we are the worst. We did win 13 games in the hardest schedule of playoff teams. That’s true as I’ve said so many times as i took the time to go through every playoff team and posted several times we were 6-3 against winning teams. That was better than any other team. Part of that can be just who they played like the Chiefs and Steelers who didn’t play as many winning teams, but they won close to as many as we did. I think he’s just saying, guys put it in perspective. Not the best, and not the worst. Things to improve, yes, but so are Chiefs fans saying today as well. The same with every team who didn’t win the SB.

Everyone has a right to their opinion. Sal has been a very informative guy and points out a lot of things you don’t hear from other WGR guys with data, etc. I don’t think he’s perfect, but he’s not in my humble opinion egomaniacal. Think what you want, but listen to other cities local guys and you’ll find he’s a lot better than most. I live in another city and you get a lot of the Bulldog stuff. That I will never listen to as it’s just noise.

Chiefs vs Bills rebuild comparison
machine gun kelly replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A. Smith has for his entire career been underappreciated. He made the Chiefs a competitive team allowing them to compete, and Reid wisely pounced on Mahomes when he saw the opportunity. Inigo, thanks for the optimism, and you’re right. -
Defenses led Brady to his last two rings
machine gun kelly replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Turk, we are having the same brain here. I listened early morning the wrap up last night and the MTC guys on NFLR stated one of Gronks nice add, is exactly what you said. This also then allows Brate who is awesome to be the pass catching guy, and then after Gronk takes the initial add block, he can step forward and be the release for Brady in short yardage and he gets a ton of YAC. -

I was careful on this board not to be too positive about TB as I get the Brady hate, but you nailed it. He’s like the Broncos some time ago. They may have been crushed in the Seattle one, but Manning blew up that offense that year with tons of talent, and then a beat up Manning carried through the finish line with an incredible defense. -
Defenses led Brady to his last two rings
machine gun kelly replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. It’s hard to say last night that the Bucs didn’t have a solid running game, good O Line, and excellent TE’s. The pats, yes, but that’s a reason why Brady is here (sorry I’m in Tampa). Here he came into a very good O Line, Evans, Godwin, AB, Miller, Brate, and Gronk. Let that talent and of course Brady is going to be good. BB let that part of the game go, and Brady said enough. The Bucs were the #1 rushing defense, and improved consecutively throughout the year in the secondary. Those guys are young and they improved tremendously throughout the year. -
I don’t see it as getting rattled rather than he is so confident in his arm and players, he thinks he can keep running back and evade the rush. His tackles are put in a bad spot, as many know guys like Brady move well in the pocket, but they help their tackles stepping into the pocket. Not me saying it, but Cosell on matchup the weekend if the Bills/Chiefs game. In that game though, our edge guys couldn’t get in fast enough and it was our guy Allen doing the same thing.

Would the Bills have beaten the Bucs?
machine gun kelly replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s too difficult to tell as we don’t know what we are adding and losing, nor what they will win or lose in talent. Here are some of the Unrestricted Free Agents for 2021 for the Bucs. Barrett David Gronk Suh Fournette AB They have $38.144 mil. in space so it’s almost a lock they figure out some of these guys, but they are not per the people down here going after more talent as their cap can’t afford it. Some have differing opinions on BA, but I like him. My middle son besides the Bills and Bucs was a big AZ fan. I saw BA get the most out of Big Ben, then when thrust into the head coaching job in Indy turn that team around after the Manning injury and helped develop Luck. He then went to AZ and turn that team around from 5-11 prior to him, to a 10-11 win all but one year in AZ. Anything is possible so I’m rooting for the Bills, but the Bucs are the most complete team in the NFL now. They are a good passing team, can be good on the ground, and everyone saw what the defense can do last night. The Bucs as constructed are extremely well built. -
It is pretty crazy down here. I’m not a huge baseball fan, but to the people above, that is painful for Tampa fans. As to last night, I know everyone hates Brady, but for people down here, they hate the Pats too, but really got behind Brady with the Bucs. They’ve struggled with the Bucs as well, as Gruden made lots of mistakes after the first SB win, and then the team just went south after that. They believe in this team and their coaches. I always root for the Bills first, but Tampa is my second team in the NFC, so I had to do something I never thought I would do in rooting for Brady. I will have my Bills jersey on at the game in the fall. That Bucs defense Tre so much this year. Next year, it’s obvious with the Bills we need a pass rush with four, and a running game. GB wrote about it days ago, and he’s absolutely correct.

As far as Coach of the year, on the main page there is a nice article from Syracuse’s paper this morning that underlines why McDermott should’ve definitely received the award over Stefanski. McD in her item a mess in 17, turned our team around from a 17 year drought, has now made 3 of 4 years, won the AFCE, a first in 25 years, and made it back to the AFCCG. Stefanski had the #1 pick in Mayfield from 18, Myles Garrett, a stud from day 1, possible the best RB tandem in the league, and a lot of talent, and we still went 13-3, to their wins. We also won two playoff games, whereas the Browns lost. The last point I remember is we finished 6-0 in division to their 3-3 record. In what way did McD not deserve coach of the year? Like Allen, he’ll have many more chances for it, and 5 years from now, the Pegulas will be calling McBeane (both of them), are you boys ready for another 5 years. Just think positively we will have our GM, HC, and franchise QB for a total of 13 years before we ever enter a carousel again, and then some. You're our HC of the year Mr. McD.

MVP vote - Josh got 2nd most votes
machine gun kelly replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand if you don’t like the guy, amd they had a runnning game to compliment him, and Josh was hurt mid season, and Josh carried the team on his back, but Rodgers isn’t overrated. He’s one of the best in the league and his previous years teams were flawed. He deserves at least for this year, and Josh definitely was a strong second finishing ahead of Mahomes. For the next decade we’re probably going to see Allen, Mahomes, Herbert, and maybe Burrow and Lawrence eventually ascending. Just listening to Josh he may have liked the award, but the ring is what he’s chasing, and that means to me, we’re going to be in the playoffs for the next decade. I fully trust McBeane to make excellent personnel decisions, and coaching decisions. If Daboll and Allen are clicking this much in year 3, I can’t wait for year 4. -
