The Madden peeps are out. I think we should trade for Darren Waller, Kittle, JJ and TJ Watt, Julio Jones, Alvin Kamara, King Henry, and just for fun we bring back Peyton Manning as the QB coach. Have fun with these trade ideas. This happens every year. We were going to trade for Rodgers, Manning, ya da ya da.

Cole Beasley featured in new GrubHub commercial
machine gun kelly replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Disgusting. I’m with Tua. Besides pepp, the only thing going on my Sami’s Frank’s red hot, and crushed red pepper. And make it well done. -
I hear Conrad Dobler has some free time. 😀. Tipster, you knew you were going to get a little ribbing for that one, but hey it’s all in fun. I think those guys are past their prime, which you acknowledged, and not crazy about Sherman’s comments over the years. He’s an articulate bright guy, but he wouldn’t fit into this culture.

The problem was the refs. I’m not one to blame the refs for everything as they have such a difficult job, but they let things go too long. It’s not an excusable argument to say, let them play. You start ejecting guys and all of this stuff calms down. Because after the game, they would get large fines as well. Our three guys were fined, but there should have been more. Ill agree with you they were the better team that day, but it’s up to the refs to get rid of players who are out of hand. Their players were wrong and so was ours. The last part of ownership is the coaches. Both Reid’s and McD’s staff. No one was right for these situations. Im not rooting for any team and I live now in Tampa. I just want a fun, entertaining game that hopefully comes down to the last play.

Yes, Cowher. He was rumored more times than I can count. Marty was a good coach, but couldn’t go far in the playoffs. I thought SD back in the day made a mistake after he finished 14-2, and that team never recovered. I feel bad fir the guy as he seemed to be a fair and hard coach. Ross Tucker often talks of him for the year he was under Marty, and stated he was an excellent coach, but old school. I hate to hear if anyone losing their faculties as that is an awful disease. I’m very thankful no one in my family ever had it, but I dealt with the pain my ex-wife had losing her grandfather the year before we met. She described in such detail as her grandparents practically raised her and her sister to see such a strong guy with good character lose his ability for rationale thought. I didn’t know about his condition, so thanks for sharing as I’ll say a prayer for the guy.

Is McDermott aggressive? NFL.com thinks so.
machine gun kelly replied to Michael1962's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McD became very aggressive starting with Seattle was when I noticed it. He maintained that approach the rest of the year until the KC rematch. He’ll figure it out. -
Bills TE Lee Smith is contemplating retirement
machine gun kelly replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lee was productive for his skills. I wish him well. I’d rather have one less TE, although three makes sense, and find a very good blocking FB. Just like people didn’t realize Star’s value, also a number of people didn’t realize what DiMarco did for our running game. I’m not saying he was great, but he served a purpose. Having someone to pave the way can really help. Look at juscszyk. What a name. Anyway, he doesn’t have a lot of yards, but he in 2019 was a big part of their excellent running game. He opened holes and once past the D Line, guys were able to get some yards. -
Jadeveon Clowney as a UFA
machine gun kelly replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His sack production isn’t everything but these are his sacks. 0 4.5 6 9.5 9 3 0 Im not advocating for Addison, but just as a comparison he’s avg. 9 for many years. Hard pass on Clowney. -
I’m warming up to the JJ Watt idea
machine gun kelly replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t think the $ works. I don’t have anything against the guy other than his injuries. If it happens I’ll root fir the guy, but I don’t see it as remotely likely. I do think he wants to be on a winning team with a winning culture. That comes across as genuine to me. -
Martellus Bennett about the dark side of football
machine gun kelly replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s not that far off. Those brothers are a little odd, but the friends I’ve had who end up in my industry who played pro ball, have articulated similar points. I didn’t read into his comments as he was trashing football, just what it can do to some guys. As much as I love football, payed, and coached, I was a little happy both my sons after a lot of years in football, lacrosse took over their youth sports. It went from all football, to football and lax, to just lax 12 months a year. My oldest had a full ride in lax, but was funny in FL, the team that won the state championships approached my son as their second string QB after watching him throwing with his friends. He had a cannon for an arm, and as accurate as you can imagine, but he lost the passion for football. Part of that was due to the coaches when not me. Bennett’s comments on coaches is partially true. You can tell who is in it for the kids, amd who is in it for themselves. -
Bass onside kicks in playoffs
machine gun kelly replied to 97bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great Secret Santa gift for work Xmas parties. I’ve unfortunately been the recipient of it. To the OP, that was a ice of you to notice and recognize Bass. Just because he started out slowly, barring injuries, we have our kicker for another decade. -
It depends on who’s doing the picking. The Rams act like they have a short window to win it all, amd didn’t have the confidence in Goff (I don’t either). A lot of people don’t like Stafford, but he’s played on bad teams for a decade. The Rams may be decent next year. They have the #1 defense in the league. The cool part for us is we beat them and the Steelers, 49ers, Ravens, Colts, and Chargers. Think about that our explosive offense beat six of the top 10 defenses. Just a positive note on a number of negative threads since the KC game.

LOL...the Fish naming CO-offensive coordinators...
machine gun kelly replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I gave credit to Flores in the sense they drafted 11 players, had a bunch of free agents, and he managed to turn a 5 win team to a 10 win team in one year. How he handled the QB situation made no sense. Why he wouldn’t keep starting Fitz until we’ll he became Fitz. They have had 1-2 more wins. Now I don’t think they would’ve gone farther than the wildcard game, but at least they could’ve made it to the dance. This idea is just not defendable. The second coordinator should’ve been give another title and responsibilities. He could’ve still consulted with the OC, but there needs to be clear succession. -
ROCKPILE REVIEW - End of the Road
machine gun kelly replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Each year Shaw, you and Virg do such a nice job with you’re reviews. As to Beasely, I agree with the sentiment, but disagree with Daboll and McD’s choice to use him and Davis. They weren’t getting separation as their injuries were hampering their ability to separate. It’s hindsight, but why not use McKenzie and Stills. Diggs was getting double teamed and with two healthy receivers, it may have been a different outcome. The Chiefs were more prepared than our team, and it showed. Shaw you were spot on with Edmunds. -
As much as this sounds like a Gruden decision, I still think Houston won’t do it. Once they hold tight past the draft, Watson doesn’t have leverage. Andrew Brandt made too much sense on his podcast. He’s on Ross Tucker’s show once a week. Very astute and knows the management role (Packers), and the agent side.
-
Turk, thanks for sharing. It does speak to how we need the following and not in this order so whatever Beane’s board states. RB TE CB Edge Rusher Possible LB if we can’t match Milano’s offer from someone else O Lineman assuming we can’t retain everyone. We should get Star back so that solves a huge problem in Oliver and Edmunds being more effective. Someone on another thread stated astutely a big 1 technique DT is essential for McD’s style defense. I agree, and looked back at Jimmy Johnson who McD learned under and he had a similar, not exact scheme for his defenses. We hit on those in the draft, and we can maybe beat the one team keeping us from the SB.
-
Eman, nailed it. Andrew Brandt, the guy who is regularly interviewed on many venues (for those who don’t know him he was one of the top dogs at GB for years and an agent on the other side) states the Texans will never allow a trade and will call his bluff beyond May. Once the draft is over, the only thing Watson has for leverage is holding out a year and loses $25 mil. And it starts all over again. Look how well that went for Bell. He lost $14.5 mil (Steelers offer), and although he made $14.96 mil. from the Jets in 2019, he only made between the Jets and Chiefs $5.5 mil. It was the worst decision a RB could ever make and he never will make it up. Watson won’t either. So with Allen, not for all the $ in the world or 100 draft picks.

Alabama DT Christian Barmore
machine gun kelly replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We have Star. Why not use the pick for another more pressing need? I never thought I would say this, but an explosive RB with blazing speed and can catch would really help. We’d also benefit from a LB, CB, and TE. In whatever order based on their boards, Id love to see these four slots filled. Lastly, as many have said, we probably will go after an O Lineman as not all will be extended. -
This is really a big so what. Not directed at you Yolo, meaning every player as Shady stated is going to do what is best for them and their family, and the Bills are going to do what is best for them. This wasn’t enlightening unless a person is in the minority thinking any player is doing the hometown discount. That just doesn’t happen. If it were you, and another employer offers you $2 mil. more, are you going to take it? Now you work in an industry that you’re skills are finite. You know you only have so many years to earn this income, and you will start a second career for considerably less. You have to make this wealth for you’re family so you can live comfortably the rest of you’re life and you will have probably an ordinary regular guy job later. This is why I don’t understand fans who think they will take less because they started on one team. I hope we’re able to retain Milano as he undervalued by many, but if he gets more somewhere else, then we move on. I do hope we at least provide a fair offer to him.

Adam Gase . . . seduction coach?
machine gun kelly replied to Arm of Harm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m not sure why a funny thread teasing Gase is such a big deal, and I am a veteran on this board. He just made a funny creative joke. I woke up early this morning and had a cute laugh. It’s better than the sky is falling from so many posters after the Chiefs game. That was annoying acting like we had a losing record vs. the fact that we were 15-4. We have a great team that has some flaws, so OP, have fun. Id particularly like to wake up and laugh a little vs. hear doom and gloom for every five new threads. It’s not like he was ripping on our Bills.
