100% problem with the Deep Ball this year.
peterpan replied to Allen2Moulds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Guys. You are operating under the assumption that Allen can hit those deep passes. He's never been that type of player. He misses passes all the time, and he always has, including his entire college career. Besides, the "never underthrown a deep pass" coaching philosophy is so 1990s. These days you thrown the ball and who cares if it's underthrown, because you'll get a PI call if it is. -
I just don't think we are getting good enough production from guys like Edmonds and Oliver. Edmonds had a bad first half and a rough year. Oliver is basically last on the depth chart behind guys off the practice squad and street free agents cut from .500 teams. Our run D goes to sheet when we lose our third round pick from last year, and our top ten pick from this year is nowhere to be seen. We should trade back and get dozens of 3-5 rounders apparently

The same old names - Star, Wallace & Lee Smith
peterpan replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just my opinion but, I think Knox, kroft, or Sweeny could get penalized just as well as Lee Smith does, without any drop off in quantity. -
McDermotts tie vs win mentality [edited title]
peterpan replied to HomeskillitMoorman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was 4th down. What did you see today that made you think they'd convert? Before the TO, they sent the team out there to try and drawn them Offside. I was screaming "what are you doing!!!! Kick it kick it!!!!" Then they called TO and sent out the kicker. I can't believe people are saying we should have went for it in that position. It's a stupid opinion to hold. PS we clearly need a new kicker. McD showed no confidence in him all game. -
Is Wallace the best option for CB2?
peterpan replied to UConn James's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What game did you guys watch? Wallace played great. He was draped all over Laundry all day. It took great catches and accurate throws to complete passes on him. It's the modern NFL. Every CB is going to allow catches and TDs. It's built into the rule book -
This loss could be the start of the collapse (schedule talk)
peterpan replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Huh?!? We've gone for it on 4th down a number of times recently. Including today. Our HC is the best we've had in 20 years. Daboll is doing very well too. Execution isn't there -
Game Thread 2nd Half Bills vs Browns
peterpan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do we need a new kicker or something? Why not kick that and tie the game?? -
Mouth, meet hat.

I took the REAL wonderlic for a job interview once. It was not like the ones on the internet.

Playing 3 teams twice per year in football is just stupid. 8 team divisions would make the league better and each game more important. For example, we lost to NE, but since we play them again, if we beat them, we can win the division. This makes our first meeting with those cheaters less meaningful. It would also give the best teams a chance to make the playoffs. We have seen a few duds HOST playoff games in the current setup. Realigning would also give teams like the Bills an actual shot at making the playoffs, I stead of getting buried under a dynasty like the cheaters for TWENTY FREAKING YEARS.

The London Chargers? In the AFC East? It could happen
peterpan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I was a player, I'd outright refuse to play for the London team. I could see many other players doing the same. Mexico City?? How will it play over in the media when a star players kid gets kidnapped? If this happens those two teams will be permanent expansion teams. They'll only be able to get players with no other options. -
Bills Record under McD when opponent scores 20 points
peterpan replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The OPs post implies that the coaches are somehow holding Allen back. I don't believe that's the case at all. What you see is what we are getting with Allen. He isn't lighting the world on fire, but he makes a few great plays a game which really have been clutch. The two scrambles/passes to brown come to mind from last game(one was a drop and the other a great catch by Brown.) Both should have been sacks but we ended up converting a big 3rd down. -
I think Hughes should have sued the NFL in court long ago. He is clearly held way more than any other player I've ever witnessed. And he could easily prove that with film. He could claim loss of wages etc. Due to lower numbers. That hurts him at contract time and by not hitting bonuses. Not making the probowl. Not getting endorsements. I could go on. I know people will pop pop at the idea but really, how else do you correct what's going on????? The Pats have cheated for 20 years. It surely has harmed the bills franchise with less revenue. I'd have sued the league and long long time ago. Same with the Rams and Eagles. They were cheated out of Superbowl wins. They should have filed lawsuits. Football is the NFLs product. This is no different than Apple suing Samsung.

Cordy Glenn at Odds With Bengals Over Concussion
peterpan replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd love to have Glenn back -
It's the bye week so I figured I'd start this thread. The NFL clearly wants to make the game safer. So far, I feel like their rule changes have, for the most part, made the game worse. They are too protective of the QB (see Matt Milano last week) as one example. In my opinion, one of the easiest ways to make the game safer, without ruining it, is to adopt the college rule where players do not need to be contacted while.on the ground. Once you are touching the ground, you are down. With that change, any player sliding or diving would be protected, as there's no reason to hit them. WRs diving or going low to catch a pass wouldn't need to be hit. No more defenders diving low to hit players already on the ground. What other ideas do y'all have?

Judging by only the Bills/Pats game, I'd say the Bills defense is better No * next to the Superbowl line?? No "2 times caught cheating red handed" What gives?

Report that Bills inquired about Eli Manning?
peterpan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think this makes sense. If you take the bills Homer glasses off, Allen is struggling. He is missing opportunities and making mistakes. The only reason any of our games have been close, including NE, is because of big misses and turnovers. Our Defense is good enough to win a Superbowl. Our O is good enough to win a Superbowl, with a high level QB. Eli his whole career has been either scalding hot or icy cold. If you got him on a hot streak Bills could go 18-1. Plus Allen is one hit away from being out for the year. -
NFL shows priorities with Apple Watch Fine
peterpan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
O was shocked they call grounding too. It was a good call, you don't think so?? It absolutely was grounding. but they called it on Brady!!! I'd never seen that done before. (The refs missed 1 or 2 other grounding calls on him later in the game) -
Cody Ford was bad - again & again he was while at RT
peterpan replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wasn't watching closely enough to really have a strong opinion but my gut feeling is the line improved immensely once out third strong RT was starting lol. Ford isn't moving to G anytime soon bc Feliciano has been doing quite well. He did very well at Center too -
The Duke Williams Bandwagon Post
peterpan replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
About time! The production of the other WRs is proof positive that Zay Jones needs to be relegated to bench warming duty -
If Trent Edwards and Tom Brady switched places I think TE would have 6 SB rings and be headed to Canton.
