Everyone has an opinion. I don’t see Jones as a first round pick, nor a second. Hes more into the third round category, BUT, QBs get over drafted all the time. Gettlemans is not drafting Jones #6. He’s likely drafting DL or OL. Gettlemans a dinosaur and that’s what dinosaurs do. I too am a dinosaur, I believe in drafting OL and DL at the top of a draft, unless you can draft a potential franchise QB. Next years crop of QBs are purported to be much better than this years, and I believe the Giants will be in play for one of them next year. He’s taking the Bills route, let’s see if it pans out.

NFL Radio Fan Draft: Bills Pick Hockenson
dlonce replied to Just Joshin''s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bad pick. That guy must be on this board. I would be shocked if we picked the TE at 9. -
I’d have to see them pick him to believe it.

Daniel Jeremiah mock #3 (Hockenson to Bills)
dlonce replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gronk and Brady fit like a hand and glove. Brady used his TEs,made Aaron Hernandez look like a gold jacket candidate. Hindsight... If you draft a TE this high up you better pray he’s an All Pro in your system. This reeks of Eric Ebron and how the former board jumped all over him as our pick. Deja Vu. Im positive he’s not going 9 to the Bills, neither is Metcalf. Thank god,it would be a wasted pick. Pegulas future Son In Law will be croomed to be the starter. Too many high end DTs there and we need to replace Williams with potential quality. -
Bills 2019 schedule officially released
dlonce replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was leaked awhile ago. -
Devin White, very simple. The Hockenson at 9 talk reminds me of the majority of this board enamored with Ebron so early. You just don’t take a TE in the top 10 of any draft. This team needs a run stopping LB, DT, DE/pass rushing player in the worst way. I’d go OL before any TE, Dillard would be a good pick as well. Really good teams have really good linemen on both sides of the ball. Josh Allen’s vertical passing game isn’t conducive to taking a TE that high. If they, by some miracle, decide to trade down, then a case may be made.

I certainly hope the Pats don’t get Rosen. I don’t understand how anyone can say this kids a bust after one season. He was in a terrible situation in Arizona and wasn’t a fit there. We picked the right Josh for our team, and the rumors of Arizona wanting Allen instead are likely true. He may flourish on a different team. Maybe a little humble pie served warm will motivate him.

Season Seat Upgrades - Pretty Happy
dlonce replied to vanhalen26's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From my experience, (I’ve had seats all over that stadium) you may be going too low. It’s great to see the players up close, and great when play is in front of you, but you miss route development and formation deficiencies. i was on the fifty,Bills side for two years about 12 rows up. Met a lot of celebrities and players families there but really couldn’t see the play very well. I ditched those for seats higher up. Im happy for you. You’ll love them at first. -
New England o-line drafting
dlonce replied to maryland-bills-fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
By all accounts it was Brady who instituted this offense, not Bellichek. Once Brady retires it will be all over for B.B. Without Brady, Bellichek would be another has been defensive coordinator. -
New England o-line drafting
dlonce replied to maryland-bills-fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Patriot linemen do not fare well outside of Boston. Reason? They don’t have Tom Brady to make them look great. Theres no coach that makes them great, it’s not Bellicheks drafting(which isn’t very good, btw). Its simply TB. Ditch the ball in under 2 seconds and you will never see a sack. Its getting ridiculous, all these bogus reasons as to why the Patriots win. There’s a very simple answer. -
Reading tea leaves: Bills trade down with NYG or OAK
dlonce replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People continue ignoring the facts here because they are from the trade down at all costs mindset. The Bills WILL NOT trade down, if anything they trade up to utilize their draft capital and get a better player. Teams with 10 draft picks, and multiple free agent signings don’t waste their draft. Repeat, there will be no trading down, especially in round one. -
Hypothetical Mock, Who would u select @ #9
dlonce replied to BillsFan1988's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t believe this is how the top 8 go but to answer the question I would take Burns/White -
They will trade up. Way too many picks. Go for quality not quantity. The obvious is round 2 and beyond but you never know.
-
Do we not have 10 picks already in this draft? I doubt we trade down, especially for thirds, maybe a second. What to do with all those draft picks. The notion we could use to trade back up isn’t a given, so I believe we either stay at 9, unless someone above is willing to move.

Buffalo politician: Why wouldn’t you renovate New Era Field
dlonce replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eventually the Orchard Park stadium will be too costly to upgrade due to sub surface level deterioration, then what? In 25 years the cost to build a new stadium will be astronomical. Build a new one now, it will be cheaper in the long run. Polencartz is what’s wrong with Erie County. It will be up to the Pegulas. They are waiting for the reports. I wouldn’t call it corporate welfare, more like corporate blackmail. -
That was great. Thanks for posting. The accuracy argument isn’t really an argument. This kid has all the intangibles, and is a dump off or two from getting to the perceptive promised land of 60%. JA has a lot of Jim Kelly in him but he has wheels, and he plays in an era of a premium on passing. He looks to be a leader and can throw deep. Experience will help him. Jim Kelly, as a Bill had a career pct passing of 60% In an era of running.

Drew Lock's pro day went great, top 10 pick buzz grows
dlonce replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Buzz about top 10 doesn’t necessarily mean he’s going top 10. Everyone could be correct. I hope he goes top 8, for the obvious reasons. -
The report the Bills were furious is ridiculous. Why the hell would they be furious? They might have been pissed about the amount of compensation the Jets gave up but furious is not the word to use. Such hyperbole. Its certainly not because they drafted Darnold. They may have thought they were moving up for Allen.

Why are the Browns the sexy pick?
dlonce replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Browns are trying to get good really quickly. That normally doesn’t work, it could backfire. Id be curious what their cap will be in a couple years. I really do not like the OBJ trade for them, this is an attempt to appease the fan base for suffering and to become relevant nationally. It’s working but the pitfalls can be devestating. We shall see. Not sure they will be that good already. -
Beane was pi##ed off about Buffalo comments
dlonce replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You might be correct but I have only seen one other Bills GM combat media fallacies besides Beane now has. That guy was Bill Polian. Bill remains highly vocal on the positives of WNY and Beane will likely do the same. -
They have a potentially really good QB. Splashy trades and signings mean nothing. It’s all paper wins. Im sure not going to change anyone’s mind because people are products of what they are told to believe. Cleveland will be better but it’s not because of all these silly moves, it will be because their QB will improve and drafting has improved.
