  1. Doubt it. Watch before draft day when we make a deal to move up close to top 10,that’s when we will know they are positioning to get up in the top 3. They are going to give it their best shot.
  2. If you could make any trades like you suggested then great BUT the cost will be much higher. There are many QB needy teams that will cause the price to be way up there. Maybe if you include next years first instead of the third. Maybe both seconds this year instead of next years first. I could be wrong and hope I am. There’s just too many teams looking to grab one of these QBs. In no way should we stand pat and select a QB like Jackson or Rudolph. Trade the farm. It’s time to get that QB we’ve so desperately needed.
  3. You mean Bill Polian said to put him at receiver? I think I’ll side with Polian on this. Jackson will have a difficult time in the NFL as a QB. Bad mechanics and accuracy issues equate to problems. Running QBs do not make it,at least for an extended amount of time. I pray the Bills pass on him. We already have our inaccurate fast QB on this roster.
  4. Its likely going to take even more than the current firsts and next years first to move up high. The Bills will likely need to move up first, then move up again. The Bills did that deal with KC with an eye on this years draft and QB pool. Draft capital is extremely important in any possible trade up. I do not believe Beane thought there was any way the 2017 team was going to be any good, but the rug was pulled out from under him. Correlating what KC did with us isn’t the same, as the value of those QBs is not the same. This years top guys are said to be way better prospects. If you add to the fact there are a bunch of QB needy teams looking to get one then the cost rises substantially. It’s going to cost a Kings ransom to move up to 2-4, but I say it’s time to make that move. That’s what Beane wants to do,just based upon his words and what he did with the KC trade.
  5. I agree with you. This isn’t an era where you can actually take your time to build a roster. This is an era where players move on and peddle their skills elsewhere. The key is depth in positions. This is said to be one of the strongest draft classes for QBs in over a decade and it is.We need a QB in the worst way and we will likely move up and draft one. This dinosaur thinking of building a team before getting a QB is just that.
  6. Thats Gordie pounding it into him. He respects his dad and listens to his advice. Hes immature and with his immaturity comes idiocy. He’s a big kid who needs to grow up.
  7. You have to hand it to Transplant, he supports every QB on the Bills roster, sometimes to a fault. He was a huge E.J. supporter as well. Thats what our generation used to do. In today’s world of instant gratification that just doesn’t compute.
  8. I don’t see it your way. He’s a mediocre passer at best who hasn’t figured out that stepping up into the pocket would give him more time. I don’t like him at all.
  9. Its the Buffalo Bills message board posters mostly. They all became butt hurt when Graham actually told their golden boy E.J. Manuel something to the effect that he wasn’t a good QB. They all started calling TG “a hack” which is their favorite mantra when a reporter isn’t a cheerleader. That’s not to say there are other people who don’t like TG but it’s mostly BBMB posters.
  10. It did hit the ground. You can see his right hand on the ball above the nose of it, he then scooped under the ball. It was close, tough to overturn looking at replays but it did hit. Having said that, it is doubtful Peterman could have sustained a drive anyway, but we will never know.
  11. Their corners are of no concern. Tyrod rarely uses his receivers,so it comes down to clay and anyone else not considered a WR. It will be a low scoring game.
  12. There’s always an element of luck involved for every team. Whats the old saying, luck= opportunity and effort? Ill take all the luck in the world right now.
  13. The local newscasters are currently into “The Queen City”, so from one “Queen City” to another, Thank you. Ive always hated the term “Queen City” but like “city of good neighbors.”
  14. Yes,there were a couple tears shed. When you get to be my age you wonder if you’ll ever see a playoff game again. Thank you Bills.
  15. Been to a lot colder games than this. Dress for the weather and hit the toilets every once in awhile and it’s all good. Im watching the game on my fire stick. Got a great feed from a Russian broadcast, full HD. Couldn’t find any decent US or Canada feeds. My Nephew,Niece and their kids are at the game. The kids are loving it. That Mittelstadt kid looks like a player. It’s tough to judge in that atmosphere but he sure can control the puck. Having an outdoor game in these conditions doesn’t do justice to either team.
  16. Great, now for sure they are trading him,jk. That kids a player, always around the ball,in the backfield and not bad in pass defense. This last draft has yielded some good players for us. Let’s hope we can parlay this next draft into something special.
  17. They will have to cut a hole in the ice first. Its frozen on that end now. Hue Jacksons a terrible coach. There were numerous Bills fans clamoring for that guy.
  18. Thats right. It’s about the QB and all else will fall in place. Their drafting is suspect, but so are a lot of teams. I suspect with a new GM who actually knows what he’s doing that the Browns may be a much better team in a couple years. Dont be surprised if the Browns trade their second first rounder to the Bills to gain more quality picks. Just a thought, why did we trade with KC instead of Houston? I had been told Houston wanted to trade with the Bills for 10. edit. I remember now why we didn’t trade. Houston wasn’t offering their first but a package taking us out of the first round. The had their chance but called our bluff with regards to KC. Once KC took one of the two QBs they wanted it was then they pulled the trigger.
  19. Might be tough this year to pick winners with all the influx of posters from the Bills board. They do this on another board, and it’s fun,as long as the people getting tagged as bad posters have a sense of humor. Good idea
  20. Depends what your definition of a franchise QB is. Does your QB realistically give you a chance to win and make the playoffs? Can he actually make throws and take a chance when it’s needed most? Has said QBs made the playoffs in prior years? What one team values as a franchise QB another one doesn’t. Do I think Stanford is a QB worth his money? No,but Detroit does. There are really only a handful of true future HOF QBs in the league and those guys are in the playoffs every year and win SBs. Whats your point? You can win without breaking the bank? Sure can,but a QB who can play gives you a much better opportunity to get to the promised land, which is the whole purpose of playing. We don’t have a QB who gives us a chance and it’s time we take a chance to find one, regardless of money. I defer to Beane.
  21. So tell us about the tax breaks the Bills received from your community east of Buffalo. These tax breaks, by law a public record, are no where to be found. How many actual politicians do you know? How many people can keep a secret for as long as you claim? You realize that word would have spread immediately, coming from the friend of the son of one of the politicians? How can anyone post who our FA targets are right now? That’s absurd Don. Keep it up though,it’s great **** can reading material and I thank you and all the other contributors of this thread.
  22. Those were the days. Regressing, that Rob Johnson switch,by Ralph Wilson,(partially based on that meaningless last game win) may have cost us a Super Bowl. Flutie was, by far, a better QB, and I believe there never would have been a Music City Miracle. Picking that clown up with a number one was arguably one of the largest mistakes this franchise has ever made.
  23. I wouldn’t take Rosen even he didn’t say anything if I’m Cleveland. There are at least two other QBs who will translate much better into the NFL.
  24. Thanks for posting. No big surprise he wouldn’t throw his buddy under the bus.
