Difference between Jackson and Taylor
dlonce replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m sorry everyone. I must reply. I pointed out skin color because it’s been mentioned on this board numerous times in rebuttals that skin color is a reason to compare. I wanted to qualify my statement otherwise. you then chastise me about this and point out that all people are of color. This is true, but, you have no idea who you speaking to. i am a man who was raised in the 60s, where we were referred to as “colored” and “people of color.” Then you chastise another poster incorrectly using the words “race card.” Get off your politically correct high horse. You have no idea what I’ve been through in my life with regards to race. You have no business harassing me about this topic at all. Here are the facts. Tyrod is mostly a one read QB who runs when his receiver isn’t open Jackson is a one read QB who runs when his receiver isn’t open, PERIOD,Got it? A person compares both and they are a racist,a person qualifies their comparison to state race isn’t an issue and your a racist. Are you a millennial? -
Who is your "not with a 10 foot pole" first round pick?
dlonce replied to Cripple Creek's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lamar Jackson is a guy I wouldn’t touch with a 10 foot pole. Im positive the Bills will pass on him. -
Rotoworld- Giants leaning away from QB @ #2
dlonce replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It will likely take for the Bills to move up pretty high while retaining either 21 or 22. Package both firsts with a first next year and a player(Glenn) and we might, MIGHT be able to get to 2 or 3. Its not going to be easy, but if Beane really loves a guy at the QB position I think he can get it done. Theres no way we will ever be able to get to 2 with the current draft position. -
Difference between Jackson and Taylor

This has nothing to do with skin color(I’m a man of color). It has everything to do with having the same thing in common. Truly gifted running QBs do not have the innate ability to read defenses properly. They are one read and take off. It’s difficult to teach them otherwise. This is Jackson as well. I hope the Bills do not draft this kid. We need a pocket type passer or at least one that exhausts all reads before taking off(Mayfield). -
As of today the value of those first rounders are not getting it done and neither are the second rounders. One or both of two things must happen. The Bills will likely need to trade up,using some decent draft picks from this draft and next years draft. Or trading Both firsts and seconds this year, also next years first and other compensation. We may even have to go to 2020 to give picks away. It can be done. It depends on how much they value the guy they want. You and I know the other teams are going to pay a boatload,we just have to really sweeten the pot. I believe we need to go the route of trading up with one of our firsts this year and packing them with picks this and next year.

I doubt Beane risks both 1st round picks
dlonce replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You’re going to be surprised then. None of the picks come with a warranty. Beanes going to try his best to get up into the top 5. He may need to get to 3 to have the chance at one of those QBs. Theres a reason he took a one from KC for this year and added more picks after round one. I believe Beane thought what he had would be enough, and I believe he thought we’d be drafting higher than we are with our pick. Hes going to need to include next years first at the very least because of the number of teams looking to trade up. I pray he gets it done. We need to attempt to secure the most important spot on the team, finally, and this is the year to do it. Its going to be the richest bidding war ever,in my opinion. I’d love to be the Giants and Indy right now. -
Doubt it. Watch before draft day when we make a deal to move up close to top 10,that’s when we will know they are positioning to get up in the top 3. They are going to give it their best shot.

TRADE UP ... YOU PICK THE QB & HOW HIGH YOU PAY
dlonce replied to WideRightRevenge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you could make any trades like you suggested then great BUT the cost will be much higher. There are many QB needy teams that will cause the price to be way up there. Maybe if you include next years first instead of the third. Maybe both seconds this year instead of next years first. I could be wrong and hope I am. There’s just too many teams looking to grab one of these QBs. In no way should we stand pat and select a QB like Jackson or Rudolph. Trade the farm. It’s time to get that QB we’ve so desperately needed. -
You mean Bill Polian said to put him at receiver? I think I’ll side with Polian on this. Jackson will have a difficult time in the NFL as a QB. Bad mechanics and accuracy issues equate to problems. Running QBs do not make it,at least for an extended amount of time. I pray the Bills pass on him. We already have our inaccurate fast QB on this roster.

Its likely going to take even more than the current firsts and next years first to move up high. The Bills will likely need to move up first, then move up again. The Bills did that deal with KC with an eye on this years draft and QB pool. Draft capital is extremely important in any possible trade up. I do not believe Beane thought there was any way the 2017 team was going to be any good, but the rug was pulled out from under him. Correlating what KC did with us isn’t the same, as the value of those QBs is not the same. This years top guys are said to be way better prospects. If you add to the fact there are a bunch of QB needy teams looking to get one then the cost rises substantially. It’s going to cost a Kings ransom to move up to 2-4, but I say it’s time to make that move. That’s what Beane wants to do,just based upon his words and what he did with the KC trade.

I agree with you. This isn’t an era where you can actually take your time to build a roster. This is an era where players move on and peddle their skills elsewhere. The key is depth in positions. This is said to be one of the strongest draft classes for QBs in over a decade and it is.We need a QB in the worst way and we will likely move up and draft one. This dinosaur thinking of building a team before getting a QB is just that.

Mularkey now out in Tennessee as HC
dlonce replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t see it your way. He’s a mediocre passer at best who hasn’t figured out that stepping up into the pocket would give him more time. I don’t like him at all. -
Its the Buffalo Bills message board posters mostly. They all became butt hurt when Graham actually told their golden boy E.J. Manuel something to the effect that he wasn’t a good QB. They all started calling TG “a hack” which is their favorite mantra when a reporter isn’t a cheerleader. That’s not to say there are other people who don’t like TG but it’s mostly BBMB posters.

Jalen Ramsey's Game Clinching "Interception"
dlonce replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It did hit the ground. You can see his right hand on the ball above the nose of it, he then scooped under the ball. It was close, tough to overturn looking at replays but it did hit. Having said that, it is doubtful Peterman could have sustained a drive anyway, but we will never know. -
Bills/Jags . Do you agree with this assessment?
dlonce replied to billsbackto81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Their corners are of no concern. Tyrod rarely uses his receivers,so it comes down to clay and anyone else not considered a WR. It will be a low scoring game. -
McDermott - Better Lucky then Good?????
dlonce replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There’s always an element of luck involved for every team. Whats the old saying, luck= opportunity and effort? Ill take all the luck in the world right now. -
Yes,there were a couple tears shed. When you get to be my age you wonder if you’ll ever see a playoff game again. Thank you Bills.

World Junior tailgate at New Era Field
dlonce replied to Hammered a Lot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Been to a lot colder games than this. Dress for the weather and hit the toilets every once in awhile and it’s all good. Im watching the game on my fire stick. Got a great feed from a Russian broadcast, full HD. Couldn’t find any decent US or Canada feeds. My Nephew,Niece and their kids are at the game. The kids are loving it. That Mittelstadt kid looks like a player. It’s tough to judge in that atmosphere but he sure can control the puck. Having an outdoor game in these conditions doesn’t do justice to either team. -
Matt Milano graded out among top rookie LB's
dlonce replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great, now for sure they are trading him,jk. That kids a player, always around the ball,in the backfield and not bad in pass defense. This last draft has yielded some good players for us. Let’s hope we can parlay this next draft into something special. -
Cleveland Browns - Will they go 0-16?
dlonce replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They will have to cut a hole in the ice first. Its frozen on that end now. Hue Jacksons a terrible coach. There were numerous Bills fans clamoring for that guy. -
Cleveland Browns - Will they go 0-16?
dlonce replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats right. It’s about the QB and all else will fall in place. Their drafting is suspect, but so are a lot of teams. I suspect with a new GM who actually knows what he’s doing that the Browns may be a much better team in a couple years. Dont be surprised if the Browns trade their second first rounder to the Bills to gain more quality picks. Just a thought, why did we trade with KC instead of Houston? I had been told Houston wanted to trade with the Bills for 10. edit. I remember now why we didn’t trade. Houston wasn’t offering their first but a package taking us out of the first round. The had their chance but called our bluff with regards to KC. Once KC took one of the two QBs they wanted it was then they pulled the trigger. -
Might be tough this year to pick winners with all the influx of posters from the Bills board. They do this on another board, and it’s fun,as long as the people getting tagged as bad posters have a sense of humor. Good idea
