  1. Depends what your definition of a franchise QB is. Does your QB realistically give you a chance to win and make the playoffs? Can he actually make throws and take a chance when it’s needed most? Has said QBs made the playoffs in prior years? What one team values as a franchise QB another one doesn’t. Do I think Stanford is a QB worth his money? No,but Detroit does. There are really only a handful of true future HOF QBs in the league and those guys are in the playoffs every year and win SBs. Whats your point? You can win without breaking the bank? Sure can,but a QB who can play gives you a much better opportunity to get to the promised land, which is the whole purpose of playing. We don’t have a QB who gives us a chance and it’s time we take a chance to find one, regardless of money. I defer to Beane.
  2. So tell us about the tax breaks the Bills received from your community east of Buffalo. These tax breaks, by law a public record, are no where to be found. How many actual politicians do you know? How many people can keep a secret for as long as you claim? You realize that word would have spread immediately, coming from the friend of the son of one of the politicians? How can anyone post who our FA targets are right now? That’s absurd Don. Keep it up though,it’s great **** can reading material and I thank you and all the other contributors of this thread.
  3. Those were the days. Regressing, that Rob Johnson switch,by Ralph Wilson,(partially based on that meaningless last game win) may have cost us a Super Bowl. Flutie was, by far, a better QB, and I believe there never would have been a Music City Miracle. Picking that clown up with a number one was arguably one of the largest mistakes this franchise has ever made.
  4. I wouldn’t take Rosen even he didn’t say anything if I’m Cleveland. There are at least two other QBs who will translate much better into the NFL.
  5. Thanks for posting. No big surprise he wouldn’t throw his buddy under the bus.
  6. It was mentioned it was from an Inside the NFL camera crew.
  7. No way. He has a great gig going on and is good at it. I love him as a QB,just will never happen. Hes right, the Bills are up and coming. They are a QB and a couple decent players away from being really good.
  8. Terrible. The guys human and he tries. It’s not his fault he’s being used incorrectly. He should never be run outside the tackles. WTF is wrong with some people? I do have a sense of humor but to place a GFM page about getting cut goes overboard.
  9. This guy should be terminated. Was he watching on an old iPhone or something? It was an obvious good call on the field, you could see the line in the turf where Benjamin dragged his foot AFTER possession. There is either one of two things happening here. He’s doing this to get the catch rule changed at the expense of other teams or he has a complete bias towards New England. Most of his bad calls have been with NE as the positive recipient of the call. This guy is about as qualified as Dean Blandino was. Being a referee doesn’t make your judgement any better. This screams favoritism. He needs to be investigated before he ruins a playoff game, unless his calls are a hush hush agreement with the NFL. Then they all need to be terminated. Rant over.
  10. It is not correct in this situation. The NE player would have had to keep the ball extended and a Bills player would have to push the player back. This is not the case here. The New England back pushed the ball forward, like you would at the goal line and then pulled the ball back. There was absolutely no views that showed knees down, etc.Thats not forward progress.
  11. You are welcome. It was a definitive comment that needed clarification. I do not see why all the love for Rosen. Maybe Cleveland could stick it to this kid, tell him they are drafting him and watch him go back to school. Then they draft Darnold. Most of you do not remember this happening to the Bills,Cousineau and Kelly. It’s not a great feeling as a fan.
  12. He could but he can’t once he’s declared. If I’m the Browns I give no indication Rosen is the guy they want. Hes not going to sit out. A lot of bluster with this entitled kid.
  13. Ebb and flow. I have never hated the Patriots because their fans that went through futility deserved enjoyment. I have an issue with younger fans, and the ruination of a great game by the NFL,with regards to rules that give teams with great QBs an advantage. Tommy tutu would never have survived a couple decades ago at this age. His insistent crying over being touched would have been met with an all knee bonanza by the opposing defense. You will never hear a ref like Ben Drieth say “Personal foul, number 93 of the defense, after he tackled the QB he was giving him the business down there.” Thats what defensive players did. Now, that guy would get suspended and called a bully.
  14. I know a lot of those guys, mostly older logical types who are true Boston Patriots fans. They know football. The problem with New England fans is that the younger fans are entitled and know very little about the ebbs/flows and football in general. They are more knowledgeable about baseball. Their day is coming and it’s sooner rather than later. They made a monumental mistake trading Garrapolo. Watch how quickly the wheels fall off that wagon. Brady’s NOT playing until he’s 45,at least not as an effective starter. One rule change will send that team into a spiral. Take Tommy’s picks away and it’s all over.
  15. As an “older fan” it’s my opinion that the Dolphins- Bills rivalry was much more intense. The Dolphins had been perrenial winners and once their QB started to age they got lucky and drafted the NFLs golden boy,Dan Marino. What made the rivalry intense were the facts we had our own golden boy, the Miami media took a lot of shots at Buffalo and they had players like Bryan Cox. Adding to that is the fact we lost to the Dolphins for an entire decade, losing on last second bull **** ref calls. Sound familiar? Having said the above,I too despise Brady, the Pats and their ignorant fans. Their fans are almost entirely bandwagon fans who are one day going to be jumping off the wagon. The Pats will secure their rightful place in the East, at the bottom, like they did so many, many years previously. Brady would be retired by now if he played in the era of Kelly and Marino, where men where men, regardless of position. There were no pansy ass rules in place to protect the feminine one. It wasn’t a passing league where rules help QBs and offenses in general. Brady is going to get hurt, make no mistake about it. As much as I despise his type I just hope he doesn’t get hurt badly, just enough to make Jizzell give him an ultimatum, from which he will succumb.
  16. Oh boy. It would make no difference either way. If the Bills ever beat NE then rhey will be expected to beat Miami, otherwise their playoff chances are minimized. The coaches will not allow for wild celebrating.
  17. You continue to allude to Cleveland. It would be more of them worrying about trading him to the AFC than your perception of QB hell. Trade to a partner near the top of draft board outside of any AFC team and it was successful. The rumors of Frisco desiring JG were publicized for many weeks.
  18. Whats this “we” crap? You a member of the team? The rest of the East is quietly making space for the most certain fall to come. The doormats of the division, which “your team” so rightly owned so many years. I cannot wait to see the entitled fall off the bandwagon.
  19. I love the hydrated garbage. Your body can only retain so much hydration before it either shuts down altogether or expels it. He undoubtedly has had numerous concussions over the years, including last year when Jizzell blew the whistle on him. Speaking of blowing the whistle, she will be the wild card. He will do what she tells him. She dresses him already and has tuned him into his duality of spirit.
  20. I thought he said natural turf? Could have been someone else. For another poster: I know his source is NOT Jim Kelly. I still haven’t heard of any open air stadium close to Alabama and it’s swamp land. From much of the due diligence posted by other posters it would likely be downtown.
  21. I don’t hate you,and you may indeed have a source, but you’ve presented so many different scenarios that it’s reallly difficult to take you seriously. You have also flipped flopped on your predictions, which also makes it difficult to believe you. Wheres that memo?
  22. Just finished reading this thread. He certainly had a lot of defenders,oh well,it was entertaining though. He did a great job with his bs. Even cost me a phone call and my buddy doing a search of property sales.
  23. Pegulas are changing the downtown area big time. It would take a lot of acres to cover stadium, parking and roads, unless they decide to forego tailgating and do little surface parking, which I highly doubt. The stadium would probably use up about 15-20 acres, then add in parking and other entertainment Pegula will likely build with it. I would guess there’s plenty of space to do that. I agree with downtown more so than Alabama or Batavia or anywhere outside of the metro area. It will likely be retractable for the reasons you have stated.
  24. Don, If any municipality or State Entity has given a tax free deal to anyone it would, by law, have to be made public. Also, it’s very doubtful any politician involved with dealings or Government officials would not have inadvertently leaked this by now. You hooked me into searching property sales in eastern Erie County and all of Monroe County. There are no abnormal property sales in any region, according to someone that looked for me that is a realtor. There was wind of one of Pegula companies looking for properties with Gas rights though, just not anywhere near Alabama. He hasn’t found any purchases. The NFL precludes any team from selling shares to the public, either for team or land. Green Bay has been grandfathered in. Pegula would know that and would never had thought of selling shares. Just come out and tell us where this supposed open air stadium that would generate revenue year round for parking will be. I just can’t see anyone going to a stadium in the sticks in the middle of winter to see anything besides football. Question for you. How would your parking area generate income year round?
