  1. They absolutely must make their move this year. There are no QBs in the college pipeline next year that comes close to the 6 guys this year. Getting one of the top 4 or 5 is paramount. It will be a major disappointment if we are shut out and settle for a second tier guy.
  2. Which first they would give up depends upon your trade partner, and how strong next years draft is projected to be, in comparison to pick 22 this year.
  3. Hes a huge Tyrod Taylor fan. Enough said.
  4. Narrow feet isn’t his biggest issue,it’s his release that causes velocity issues. He also throws an “ugly” ball, which is also caused by his odd release. There’s only a forward wrist flick with no wrist follow through, which is akin to a pitcher throwing a screwball. That is why his ball spins awkwardly and wobbly passes seem to be the norm. That could be a reason his receivers dropped so many passes,or they just suck. Tack on a professional pass rush, with the necessity of quick reads and you’ve got a huge project QB. Can he learn to change all this? Maybe if he has time to throw, but once the bullets start flying he will revert to his comfort zone. I agree,he appears to be a much better passer than Taylor, mostly because he doesn’t have to find throwing lanes as often and will complete his checks. Running for a QB is a last resort and shouldn’t be done often for the obvious health reasons. The Bills are not drafting this kid. They’ll draft Rudolph before Jackson. Pass.
  5. I defer to Brandon Beane until proven otherwise. A vast majority of college QBs are mobile. Watch Mason Rudolph’s stock rise after his pro day, same for Jackson. In any other draft those two guys would be closer to top 10. From what I understand,or understood earlier this year, the Bills were not fans of Rosen due to his intangibles and concurrent concussions. Things are fluid, not static at One Bills Drive so That could have changed. Lamar Jackson is at least 6-2,6-3 and Rudolph is a monster. I’d be ok with either but prefer Rudolph if those top guys are gone, mostly because he’s more of a pocket passer. The comparisons of Tyrod and Jackson are unfair, Jackson’s a more polished QB. Building our lines should be a big priority. I’d draft OL and OL, DL and DL again after getting my QB. The caveat for me is if Ridley falls to 22. My opinions based on not much. What does Beane do. It will be an interesting month filled with knee jerk reactions.
  6. Whats the cost? No one really knows,it’s all assumption based on the Indy trade. The Jets were scared into that trade. We may not trade up because the Giants might want to stay at 2.
  7. Unreal. How the hell can anyone be against trading up without actually knowing what the price would be? In other words, the poster is against moving up to draft a QB because they are a dinosaur and is of the mindset of the “we have too many holes to fill” gang. That equates to the group that always says, “ the QBs next year are better and we should wait.” Year, after year, after year, after decades of no QB. Ad naseum. Its time to pay the price to take a chance. No attempts has equated to mediocrity. Yes its a gamble, but there’s nothing that says the players you pick instead of QB are going to amount to anything. We have selected many busts outside of QB.
  8. Thats assuming no other teams jump in front of you to get their QB
  9. It’s official. We’ve been linked to every potential first round QB now.
  10. no, No and friggin NO. Why would anyone even consider the vastly overrated and over hyped because of one catch Odell? He’s a cancer, period. Forget the fantasy sceanarios, the Giants are not trading back to 12.
  11. I agree that Allen is the target after Darnold. I just don’t believe Rudolph will go before Rosen. The Jets are taking Allen at three. I too believe Rosen isn’t in our plans and we will pass on him. Some team will move up for Rosen and hope it’s not the Bills.
  12. Absolutely, these few days are what will likely decide the Bills direction. There will be strategy to move up prior and on draft day. Its looking like we may have to wait until the draft. It could be an exciting day/night.
  13. It’s for the 4th pick not the 1st. Cleveland’s not trading out of that one. The Bills need to get to 4 to get their guy and it’s not Rosen or Darnold. Darnold is a huge question mark and Rosen is one slight hit away from his brains spilling out.
  14. I believe the Giants are hanging onto that pick. I still think we need to move up a bit more, even to get to 4. If the Giants take Barkley then Cleveland will be open to selling that pick. If the Giants pick a QB then we are pretty much screwed moving into the top 5.
  15. They should but it’s not that simple. Would be sweet.
  16. The Giants are doing their best to get Cleveland to take the QB first with their loving Darnold rumors. If you love a particular player, why on earth would you publicize it? The question is why are they trying to get Cleveland to take Darnold. Do they love Rosen, maybe Allen? Do they desire Barkley? Are they doing dirty work for a team that wants Rosen who they are trading down with?
  17. He may have been honest with the amount of time he spent with those guys, but he certainly has a handle on who the better QBs are through scouting at the least. Yes,it’s certainly refreshing. Pegula seems to have picked a methodical, smart team in Beane and McDermot.
  18. Oh yes,I agree. I would do whatever it takes to get there. I was commenting on your thoughts regarding the expense to move up. The Giants would be giving up the number 2 spot in a QB rich draft, filled with QB needy teams. If they trade with Buffalo they would be moving out of the premium area of top ten. We will have to pay substantially more than Indy did, since they and the Jets set the value and Indy only moved 3 spots back. That supposed initial offer isn’t going to do it because the Giants will be losing the value of 10 spots and leaving the so called blue chip zone.
  19. Whats the difference in value for a team moving back 3 spots in comparison to 10 spots and out of the top 10 like the Giants would be doing? That might be the reason.
  20. Actually that is not great news. We lose a potential draft partner in the Giants. The Giants will take Barkley in a nano second. That leaves us with the Colts. The Browns will take Barkley 1st overall. I also believe the Browns will take Baker Mayfield at 4. Just a hunch.
  21. If the Bills wanted McCarron he would be signed. I believe they are trying to get Foles, but I hope that does not keep them from getting a QB in the draft. I personally wouldn’t give the Eagles a first rounder for him either, maybe a second at most.
  22. Actually the key words are “ was never the plan going into the week.”
  23. Equating value to the Wentz deal isn’t the same. There are different variables this year. There’s no way a team in the top 5 is not going to ask for our other first. You cannot use the draft chart in this situation because of the quality of QBs and number of QB needy teams in the hunt for one of those guys.I would use the RG3 year as a more comparable year. The positives of it are there are three to four good QBs available, but this means they will be gone very early due to what I said above. There will, most likely be a bidding war. Do not be surprised if we must give up our 1st rounder next year as well. Its not going be as simple as giving up a 2nd and a 3rd.
  24. You are basing that on a value chart? It might work that way on a normal year but this isn’t the normal year. There are a plethora of QB needy teams who will be looking to get in on the sweepstakes. Value will be driven sky high and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if we will need to include at least a second and next years first as well. Teams will be trying to outbid each other for one of the best QB classes in over a decade. It will be costly to get to two or three.
