Masters Golf Tournament Ticket Lottery...
Richmond_Bills replied to LabattBlue's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Me and a few buddies enter the lottery every year. I won tickets for Tuesday in 2017. It was definitely a bucket list item and I would definitely go again. I will say this - the access to the players and grounds was AMAZING because it was a practice round. With that said - from a competitive standpoint, it was slightly boring because you'd see a guy hit a shot into a green and then they would put a bunch of little pods around the green and putt to all of the different potential hole locations. The general highlight was watching the players and caddies skip balls across the pond on 16. The specific highlight for us was the dumb luck of walking up on what we were told was a big money game - Couples, Vijay, Stricker and Furyk. We followed them for 4-5 holes. I remember on one hole, Freddy's ball was resting on a sprinkler head and he just rolled it off. Vijay was legitimately pissed and was like "what the hell are you doing???"...hahaha -

If you picked Espinosa, you were wrong. -
I watched the entire show. It was well done. Most riveting....a bit of a stretch. I enjoyed - but didn't live up to the hype for me.

I also really liked the Marcus Dupree story. For some reason, I just found it captivating. I also liked "Jordan rides the Bus"....about his baseball endeavors. All of the ones mentioned above that I have seen were great - I have some to catch up on though... -
The fair catch, that wasn't.

Correct. I was once villianized for successfully challenging a kid missing 1B on a homerun in a youth travel baseball game. Of course his intent was to touch the base, but he didn't and the rules said that if he didn't touch it and a proper appeal was made, he's out. I think that the refs called it right and then the "black jackets" overruling was a total botch of the entire situation. The ref was "bullied" into changing his call. -

I have a friend that I played a lot of golf with about 10 years ago. Was not a great eater (a little pudge like most Americans). He radically changed his diet and started exercising. Lost like 50 pounds. He became a pretty strict vegetarian. Hadn't seen him in years, got the urge to play golf, so called him up. We met at the course and he looked heavier than ever. We go out start playing, I ask him if he's still a vegetarian, etc. He says "hell no - made me get fat again. I was eating chips and bagels and peanut butter and jelly all day long. As long as it wasn't meat, I was eating it - and a lot of it." It made me happy being a fat guy, haha. We went to the best BBQ joint in town and ate like real men after the round!!! -

I Don’t Have Time for a Cold!
Richmond_Bills replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in Off the Wall Archives
l had what started out as seemingly an innocent cold. Almost 3 weeks later I'm still coughing some. I did the cold-ease stuff as soon as I felt it. Different strains out there. I went through a whole bottle of mucinex extra strength cough and cold. -
If his arms were straight out, then he would have hit Hunt. Just stop. They got the call right.

Oh my god people. The ball went forward. It went through Hunts arms who was IN FRONT of Mayfield.

What body part(s) hurts today?
Richmond_Bills replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Played golf this a.m. Every time after I play, my middle and ring finger on my LH hurt (I'm RH). I had taken about a 7 year layoff from the game due to being consumed with kid's activities, but they are growing and I just got a new sales job. Have played 7 times over the last 2 months. Hurts like hell for a day or two and then fine until the next time I play. -

Redskins training camp is in Richmond. A buddy of mine was out to dinner and Gruden and some other guys (unknown if other coaches) were crushing beer after beer at a local restaurant. Now, I'm not saying these guys can't go out to dinner and drink a few beers, but I just to don't see McD or Bellichek hanging around local watering holes crushing beers during the middle of training camp. That may be naive on my part, but seems pretty unprofessional.

My first game at the Ralph since 1995 this Sunday

Took this advice from Paul when I had a 7:05 flight after the Tennessee game last year. Left as soon as game ended. Was at the airport by 5:15 twiddling my thumbs. Definitely can get out quick! -
I have a theory about Breaking Bad. I feel like the true ending of the series was supposed to be the end of Season 4. He kills Gus. He goes to parking deck and calls Skyler and says "I won". I think the viewing population would have been totally content with this being the ending (and I think that is how they planned for it to end). However, the mass following and demand for a 5th season required them to keep going. There were some dark, dark episodes in Season 5 that were borderline unwatchable. There were also some great moments, but I would have been totally content with the show ending at the end of S4. Killing Mike, Hank, Lydia, the little kid - all uneccessary.

I would 2nd Caesars....good book. Pretty generous with drink tickets. Usually gave me 2 every time I went and placed a bet or cashed a ticket. This was 2 summers ago.
