  1. turns out my Center Ice package didn't auto-renew this year for some reason. thank god.
  2. It appeared to me that after Hughes hit his arm the ball moved to Ryan's finger tips and from how the ball was thrown it was pretty clear that he didn't have a "controlled grip" on the ball.
  3. Have not gone for a game, but did go for dinner with the family once. The service and atmosphere left a lot to be desired. Throw on top of that $90 for a family of 4 (3 beers included on tab) and I likely won't be going back. Wings were good (not great) - rest of food was just ok. I have Sunday Ticket, so don't need a place to watch games, but I can definitely see why they aren't doing well just from my small sample size.
  4. I sure do. He put all of those playoff teams together and we go and get rid of him. Just stupid!
  5. In West Philadelphia born and raised....
  6. It hasn't happened again and I can't replicate it.
  7. replaced everything including wax seal. the water is coming from tank - almost shooting out of it somehow.
  8. Had a new toilet installed about a month or so ago. Twice over the last couple of days my son (16 about 160 lbs) was taking a #2 and while sitting on the throne, flushed and said he could hear a rush of water and then the floor was wet. The toilet has pretty good pressure and has never been clogged. The water is not coming from the bowl, but I have to believe from the tank. It first happened on Saturday and I tried several times to replicate the issue with no luck. There is also no sign of a leak as the floor has not been wet until this most recent episode which happened this morning. I have not been home either time it happened. Any thoughts appreciated...RB
  9. Manhattan, including the twin towers about 8:15 a.m. on 9/11/01. I landed at Boston Logan about 10 minutes before the hijacked jets took off from there. I remember how clear it was vividly and thought it was really cool to be flying over NYC. Craziest day of my life.
  10. saltine+peanut butter+marshmallow+broiler = you're welcome
  11. https://www.smorgasburg.com/ awesome!!!
  12. Just flew back from 3 nights in LA and then 3 nights in Vegas. Had an incredible time - and I was someone who brought my kids - 16 and 13. Had a blast. Stayed at Caesars. Rented a Cabana one day. Went to Criss Angel one night at Luxor. Just explored the other days. Have been to Vegas 9 times. Have a blast!
  13. 2 burning questions - 1) will Pommer have any extra letters on the front of his jersey? 2) Will McCabe give him his # back?

  15. Went to the practice round on Tuesday. Incredible place! If you ever have a chance to go - DO NOT turn it down!!
  16. Not really sure. But I remember the sunny, bright blue sky like it was yesterday.
  17. I'm not making this up... I flew from Richmond to Boston Logan on 9/11/01. I was headed to Portland, ME (where 2 of the highjackers originated). I landed in Logan about 8:45 - within minutes of some of the highjacked jets taking off. I vividly remember seeing NYC from the air that day as it was "clear and a million" as the pilots like to say. The events that transpired the rest of the day are another story altogether that I have told dozens of times in my life. But thinking about flying over NYC literally minutes before the world changed is still bone chilling to me.
  18. Ok - so the A10 and the Bonnies have released statements. The ultimate issue - a security guard picked the ball up while there was still time on the clock and a VCU player had to track him down, rip it out of his hands and try to in-bound it. An article from the Richmond Times Dispatch: http://www.richmond.com/sports/college/schools/virginia-commonwealth-university/article_68751b9c-2fb1-54bc-9956-57980fa04762.html In a statement, the A-10 said, “Although the game officials cited crowd interference as the rationale for assessing the administrative technical foul at the end of regulation in the VCU-St. Bonaventure men’s basketball game, that interpretation was inaccurately associated with the SBU students and fans storming the court during regulation. “The administrative technical foul was assessed for multiple reasons. The most significant was an individual taking the game ball from the inbounding baseline (assuming time had expired) and walking down the sideline, causing the VCU player to look for the ball, and chase the individual to secure the ball for inbound. Simultaneously, one of the game officials collided with a fan on the court, prior to the inbound toss. It was after these violations that the clock expired, and the students and fans stormed the court with :00 on the clock. “As a result of this misrepresentation of the administrative technical foul assessed to St. Bonaventure, which reflected poorly on the SBU student body, the officiating crew will be disciplined for not immediately stopping the game for disruption of play. “There were an unfortunate series of events in this game, which impacted both institutions and the A-10, thus the conference will continue to work with all involved including the game officials for stronger game management in the future.”
  19. I'm a VCU grad/fan - so I may be biased. But - by the rules - it was the right call. During the broadcast they explained it well. The announcers said it was a "cheap" call (which it may have been), but it was the right call. At VCU, the fans are not allowed to storm the court. Act like you've been there and you win the game.....
  20. It may be worth making a couple of phone calls. And give them...."the Rochester area stores carry them....."
  21. Paul - my brother said he bought the OV's at Rite Aid in Hilton - 24, 12 oz. cans for 11.99.
  22. Paul - my brother from Roch just brought down a 30 pack of OV cans this summer. He definitely did not go to Canada to get them....
  23. Do a Trolley Tour - it is hop on hop off - can see many parts of the city that way. Make sure you go to the Hotel Del. We did a tour of Petco Park and LOVED it (we are big baseball people). there is a cool restaurant right around the corner called the Tin Fish where we had some great fish tacos.
  24. Just back from Raleigh. Glad Sabres made it a game in the 3rd. Ended up tailgating instead of going to restaurant. Good call. Had fun.
