  1. Worst quote that I have read regarding the election: "I'm more sad today than I was on 9/11...." Seriously? I mean seriously? People have lost all sense of reality and the number of people that are implying that the country is going to DRASTICALLY change how minority groups are treated are completely irrational........
  2. I will second the person that mentioned Culvers - not one here, but seek them out on baseball trips. Also - for fast food Chinese - Pei Wei - owned by PF Changs. Probably more in the Chipotle, Panera category, but it is still fast food. 2 recent additions in the Richmond area are stand alone Panda Express (again Asian) - much better and fresher than the mall Pandas. Also Zaxbys. Basically a number of ways to prepare fried chicken fingers. It's good, not great. My one son loves the tenders from there, so we go there once in a while. My family eats a lot at Moes also...
  3. Check out www.lightstream.com - I work for SunTrust and that is one of our subsidiaries. You can get a debt consolidation loan, unsecured for a pretty decent rate - and you can have the money by like tomorrow. Again - this is all assuming good credit...
  4. Likewise, I'm in my 4th or 5th week of a cough that I just can't shake. So frustrating and annoying.
  5. Did anyone realize that the guy that Nacho and Tuco were making the deal with in the Taco Shop was "Krazy 8"....the guy WW killed in the basement at Jessie's - his first kill????????
  6. "Hey Yankees... you can take your apology and your trophy and shove 'em straignt up your a$$"
  7. I have been to Vegas 7 times. Here is a summary and recommendation: Bally's - 5 stars (out of 10) - older - very good location - good enough casino - good enough restaurants - ok sports book. I would stay again, but not my top choice. MGM (twice) - 8 stars - great location - good casino - great restaurants - ok sports book. The place is freaking huge and that is a drawback to me (spend too much time walking through casino just to get to elevators). I would stay again, but only if extremely cheap. Monte Carlo (twice) - 7 stars - great location, love the casino, love the sports book (small, but I liked it) - ok restaurants. It is a little on the "older" side, but I love the layout and location on the strip. Plus I really like the casino. Would definitely stay again. Caesars - 8 stars - basically the same as MGM, except I like the Sports Book much better. Enormous and spend a lot of time walking through the casino which is a pain in the a$$. Would stay again for a special occasion because the rooms are nice. This next review is probably going to make me lose credibility with a lot of Vegas snobs: Best Western at the Casino Royale (6 stars). From the outside, the place looks like a dump. The casino is a dump. No sports book. Basically no restaurants. HOWEVER - the location is fantastic. The rooms are brand new, clean, have Wi-fi, have a mini-fridge and CHEAP. One of the best parts is - you walk in the door of the Casino Royale and take 10 steps and you are at the elevator/hotel. To get all of the ameneties of the bigger hotels, you are within a block from Harrah's (literally 20 steps), the Mirage, the Venetian, etc. If going on a guys trip, I would DEFINITELY stay here again. Not sure I could convince the wife to stay here, but I would take my wife there. Based on your post, from where I've stayed, I'd probably recommend the Monte Carlo. Honestly you can't go wrong with MOST of the strip hotels, but I really dislike the HUGE places. Feel free to PM me if you want any more info. Also check out tripadvisor. They are typically pretty accurate.
  8. Drove north on 95 today to hit the Wegmans in Fredericksburg. Ate dinner there, bought some Easter day meal items and of course....hit the bulk aisle for some Sponge Candy!
  9. Had a really bad cold running through our house. Started with me, then the wife and now one of my sons. He has been miserable since yesterday, coughing like a mad man. Listened to him cough all night last night. I told my wife to buy some Vicks today as I remember it being a great cold cure when I was a kid. Chest, nose, etc. Well - after reading some things online, I came across literally thousands of posts discussing rubbing some on feet and covering with socks. Long story longer, I put some on my son who has coughed all day to the point of nearly barfing right before bed. He went to bed at about 8:30 and over an hour later he hasn't coughed once. Anyone ever done this or know of any other cool home remedies????
  10. I had never watched Star Wars until about 3 or 4 years ago with my boys. We went 1-6 and I'm so glad we did it that way. Makes the most sense chronologically.
  11. No - I actually googled it after responding to the thread....seing the car gave me the willies: "The Car": http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075809/
  12. I have a memory of movie when I was a young kid that scared the absolute **** out of me..."The Car"....about a car that drove itself or some nonsense....creepy as a kid
  13. Ditto on Anchorman. Movie was so hyped up to me, had to turn it off about 30 minutes in. Another HUGE dissapointment was Wedding Crashers - so hyped up, turned off after an hour and was watching re-runs of Pawn Stars.
  14. While the first few of these last year were HILARIOUS, I can't stand them now. I usually can't get past about 10 posts without clicking off. I know some people still enjoy, to each their own, but the "newness" has worn off!
  15. I don't consider anyone a snob for enjoying what they enjoy. I have had several micro (non mass-produced) beers - some that are good, some that are not good. I drink Grey Goose and I drink Bowmans. I drink Patron and I drink Cuervo. So what? I'd never look up to or down on someone that had a different taste than me. You people need to get off of your high horses. The point of my post was to really comment on the Birch Beer.
  16. While I am a beer drinker, I was at a new local candy store. They have all of these "fancy" and "old timey" sodas/pops. I bought a Boylans Creamy Birch Beer. One of the best "soft drinks" I have ever had. Beers in my fridge right now include: Moosehead, Michelob Ultra and Michelob Light.
  17. I went to the game in Miami about 8-10 years ago where the Bills went up 21-0 in the first 11 minutes of the game (JP had some incredible long pass TD's), but we blew it and lost 24-23. At any rate, there was a Military trumpet player performing the national anthem. It was so incredible the hairs on my arms stood. That was followed by a flyover that was about the closest I could ever imagine to being to fighter jet - they seemed like they were literally 10 feet above the stadium.
  18. Didn't they do one on the Miami Hurricanes?
  19. B!tches aint **** but hoes and tricks, lick on these nut$ and $uck a d!ck..... The Ben Folds version is much better than Snoop Dog version...
  20. Hey guys, I'm sure this has been covered before, but I don't think I've seen it recently: Need a new (to me) vehicle. Was really hoping to wait until my other vehicle was paid off (about 20 months). Really would like to keep my payment as low as possible, therefore was thinking either going used or leasing as I always see "incredible" deals in the Sunday newspaper. Discuss.... Looked at Toyota RAV4's but thinking that will be out of my league price-wise. Also interested in the Nissan Rogue and Hyundai Tucson. Discuss.... Thanks in advance! RB
  21. A few years back, golfsmith.com had a glitch in their system where they were giving people $50 off any order of $50.01 or more. My buddy texted me and I put in like 3 different orders.....got some shoes, a hybrid, some high-end balls, etc. My total out of pocket was $8. I told a bunch of friends and believe I even posted it on here....they eventually stopped fulfilling these orders, but everyone I knew got everything they ordered!
  22. Netfilx streaming is very good. My boys and I would watch multiple episodes of King of the Hill (seen some as many as 5 or 6 times). Went to flip on KOTH as my boys call it on Monday night and it was GONE!!!! My youngest son actually started crying...
