  1. To chime in on the Richmond location - HORRIBLE. Went 1 time - service was AWFUL. Got some wings, beef on weck and some kind of other app. A few beers - $90!!!!!! Me my wife and 2 teenage sons. Had such high hopes.
  2. He actually lost both of his shins...
  3. A buddy of mine was a chronic insomniac. He recently got a weighted blanket and said he hasn't slept this well since his teenage years. Probably worth a shot.
  4. My kid's school does a "powder puff" game every year. Girls play - boys cheerlead or coach. Great time!
  5. Paid baseball coach at an Academy
  6. As soon as Skinner scored, I said to my son "that play was all Dahlin".
  7. Hey all - just wanted to let you know that my brother already had an extra Fire Stick. We were able to download the NFL Sunday Ticket app. I simply logged in with my DirecTV login and password and my dad was able to watch the game without issue. Thanks so much for all of your input here. Now if he would have just been given a reason to stay awake until the end of the game.......
  8. Taco Mac or Hudson Grille for the game. So many absolutely fine restaurants to choose. If you are looking for an expensive night out - Hal's in Buckhead is an absolutely classic old steakhouse.
  9. Thanks for all of the great responses. I definitely wouldn't be logged in on another device while he would be trying to watch. So - if I understand (sorry I'm a little slow) - I can get him a Roku and sign in with my DirecTV login and password through that device and he can stream the games using Roku?
  10. Hi everyone - I have DirecTV in Richmond, VA, so no issue for me, but I'm trying to find a way for my dad who is now homebound to be able to watch the games. I have read a number of articles and it is all very confusing. I don't have experience with Roku or Firestick or any of those. Does anyone on the forum have experience with streaming the ticket through any devices (even though you could get a dish at your house but don't want to)???
  11. The wife and I just watched "The Staircase" on Netflix. Documentary about a guy accused of killing his wife in a staircase. 13 episodes. Probably could have been 10. The first 8-9 were great. Dragged on a little at end, but definitely worth the watch.
  12. Another vote for Harry's. Cheap and great quality. Went from a Sensor Excel and the shave is noticeably better with Harrys.
  13. I'll never forget - I was younger and with my brother at one of his friends house. My brother gave the dog a table scrap and his buddy got all pissed saying how "unhealthy" it was for the dog. My brother replied "I think you got your priorities wrong, pal. You weigh 280 and smoke 2 packs a day........." Give me a break - it's a freaking dog.
  14. Used to travel a lot for work and would always have too much food as a group, so would always give the leftovers to homeless folk.
  15. It is becoming a bit of an "epidemic" in my county. So bad, in fact, that the county has actually started putting signs at intersections: A couple of related stories: There was a guy who recorded himself outing a woman who he watched park her 2016 car at a McDonalds and walk straight to the corner to panhandle. She was in denial that she was doing anything wrong. http://wtvr.com/2017/05/23/micha-leigh-dominguez-arrest/ Also - a buddy of mine who is really involved with his church had some moving to do for the church and offered one of the panhandlers food for the day and $100 cash. Guy responded "f you. I can make 3 times that sitting here today". Once he told me that story I never even considered giving to any of them because it might be that guy.
  16. Watched the first several episodes of Shameless. A bit all over the place, but entertaining none the less. A lot of T & A.
  17. stopped reading at "irregardless"....
  18. English Muffin Bread from Country Cupboard in Lewisburg, PA
  19. In the first hour there was some of that - but I'd say it was 75% clips/stories and 25% fluff time with celebrities that I didn't know...except for Jim Carey - who I would rather pour gasoline in my eyes than watch...
  20. DVR'd, but did watch the first hour. Thought it was absolutely hilarious. Laughed so hard, our teenagers were asking us what was so funny and had to tell them that they wouldn't understand. Going to watch the 2nd hour tonight.
  21. That Westin is SUPER nice...just had lunch there on Wednesday. P.S. Don't know how long you are there, budget, etc. - but if someone asks to take you to dinner - go to Hal's. Top 3 steak I have ever had.
  22. In 2009, my son started playing travel baseball. We went to Best Buy to purchase a GPS. I remember vividly - the salesman came up to us and said "This is such a great purchase. I guarantee that in a couple of years 90% or more of Americans will have a GPS in their car....." He was kinda right.
  23. closed...too bad they couldn't do it right...
