Once again, it has to be mentioned... There was no rainbow touch pass that was going to work in the WFT game and the 18 to 20 mph gusts. Every pass literally had to be gunned in there to get to the intended WR and Josh did that, thankfully. While I certainly agree there are at least 10 better long ball throwers than Josh (which I get is your main point) I also think its a lot easier to look good in that area when you play in a dome or a warm weather region.

Zach Moss needs to be the lead back

1st down where though? Between the 20's that should be Singletary against most opponents as long as we are in 11 or 10 personnel. -

Round and Round we go! 🤪 Both guys have specific skill sets that work for this team differently on a game by game basis. It's a committee approach. The team seems fully content with that. Likely, barring injury or the fumble doghouse, we'll see each of them leading different games in touches. -
9/26/21 Bills vs. WTF Postgame Thread

The Ravens v Bills playoff game was no environment to throw a lot of passes in at a high completion rate for any QB. The national experts and tv watching fans never seem to factor this into how they review player performances, because honestly they don't know. That was not a game that can be cited as an example of inconsistent QB play as part of any theoretical "Streak" of lesser performance. Plus the Ravens had a playoff caliber defense. Things like that matter. -

Picking up Edmunds Option a Rare Beane Mistake

this is a good point you make. I was thinking about the "rating against" stat and the first thing I thought of is that more than half the time we are in zone so how is this stat actually being measured? Lots of assumptions like typical analytic based stats can contain...However, to see another contract here in Buffalo, the dude IS going to have to make some impact plays to go with his scheme fit this year... -

Manning cast indirectly peek into Bills Offense.

Good point OP. I heard the Mannings discuss this last night as well and they are right about how to get teams out of it. I will add, however, that the Steelers certainly didn't play exclusively that way. They flooded the underneath (0-15 yd) zones with 7 players and dared the Bills to hold onto the ball longer and go over the top to beat them, which we couldn't due to A - Josh being a bit off and B- 25 mph gusts. With their pass rush getting home consistently, it was check mate for them. -

What you alluded to above is likely on point for the role Edmunds plays in this defense. While I agree with those who say he still needs to make more impact plays to be considered a top player, (when healthy) he is also likely doing what is asked of him at a pretty high level for Sean McD. This staff doesn't hesitate to replace players regardless of their draft status when justified. In addition I think he is given some reads and pre-snap adjustment responsibilities. I think most fans are hung on the should he get a second contract with the team and if so, what should that look like thing. I don't live in that space really where I concern myself with player salaries or the cap, so I see it from a slightly different place. -

I could have sworn the point of being a fan was being entertained by and rooting for teams or individuals you've aligned yourself to. Being a Bills fan for 40 years, if I was constantly passing judgement wouldn't I be insane at this point? The Bills in that time have had like 14 total seasons of being a playoff caliber team. -
Devin Singletary clocked 20+
34-78-83 replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
oh well. Good thing it doesn't really matter much, especially when running the ball is just utilized for balance on the Bills. He'd still be a pretty good RB (plenty capable for THIS offense) and improved over last season. -

How did I miss this thread? It was CLEARLY my fault, folks. I am so sorry. While I was at the game with my father and son, my GF was on a historical cemetery tour back in Rochester. At approximately 2:26 PM EST she texted me a pic of a grave stone of a man who passed and had a Bills helmet engraved on his stone. Her intent was to show me what a big fan he must have been, but of course this totally backfired and the Bills grave had already been dug for the day -

regarding the above, I submit this video evidence: I am surprised you didn't make mention of the gusts as part of your visit to the stadium, but for sure it affected both QB's on multiple throws. Glad you enjoyed your time in the area! Good choices of places to check out too! -
ESPN's MNF broadcast is unwatchable
34-78-83 replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I loved the Mannings (always enjoy their banter) considering it was a game I wasn't overly invested in. For a game I really care about I prefer the standard broadcast, or trying to sync the radio broadcast with the TV. -
Was Allen off some yesterday and feeling that Pittsburgh rush? Yes for sure! Now - Did EITHER team remotely complete any short OR long TOUCH PASSES with any consistency? Did any of you see fairly common throws from both QB's go over the head of the target or even suddenly into the dirt? If you answered No and Yes you are correct, AND isn't that odd that both QB's seemed affected equally with those? Last question - did any of you who attended the game throw the football around in the parking lot at all, or see any who were doing so? Just asking. There are many factors that affect each game uniquely. To clarify - this is for the other complaints in Josh's game yesterday discussed in this thread, not regarding the fumbles!
