  1. KC and Houston games this year had significant rain.
  2. no doubt. More meaning like adequately considering the 2 starters being out.
  3. no doubt! It has felt that way but I never looked at that one. That's a shame. Kept 2 Colts drives going yesterday that were stopped when the game was still in the balance.
  4. #1 in pressure rate could explain much of that. See my post ^^
  5. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2021/opp.htm#all_advanced_defense Sort by Pressure Percentage. This tells us that the rotation is working for what it is intended for (to stop NFL passing attacks and affecting Qb's in the pocket). The problem is with stopping the run. Being without Star and Edmunds also hurts, but either way the issue is stopping physical rush attacks. To me we only have good Dt's and thats Star and Ed O. They both have very specific things they do well, and Star has been out so... There's a big part of the issue. The rest of that can only be fixed next off-season unless we try to run blitz more often to cover up (but that creates new problems too).
  6. You'd have to be an idiot to think that the 2nd best Gm/Head Coach combo in Bills history should be something to consider doing away with after a loss while underway in a season at 6-4 when the beast record in the entire conference is 7-3.
  7. it sounds kinda crazy, but the O-line actually held up pretty adequately yesterday, much to our surprise (those that were with me). Even Ford, after a rough Q1 played pretty well. They may have been (Eeeek!!) the best position group on the team yesterday!??!??!!?? Wow yeah, I actually do feel that way.
  8. The Clear app works great too and is on their accepted list and mentioned on the emails they have sent to us as season ticket holders.
  9. Blaming (in the future no less!) an individual for the "failure" of an organization that is among the tops in the game and involves the input, good health, luck and skill of literally hundreds of people only reflects back on the shortsightedness and/or ignorance of the one placing blame.
  10. Very well said, we need more people calling out these nonsense claims about players with facts. And regarding the getting the 2=3 yards when you need it, that's not him. Doesn't make him bad in any way. Just not a "complete" back. Oh freakin' well! This is the type of back the Bills want to have for their scheme and salary structure. Works just fine, especially with good blocking that doesn't contact the back a yard into the backfield.
  11. The kid (Jones) is smart and accurate throwing 7 yard or less passes on most downs. Shows very little athleticism or improvisation ability. Large large gap between the Ceilings of guys like Allen , Mahomes and Herbert and guys like Jones, but with a really sound team around him they’ll be a pain to deal with still.
  12. Their coverage grades on defenders in zone schemes are almost as useless and inconsistent as their offense line grading.
  13. Good thing we're not going with that this week then?
  14. Also Bates HAS been playing snaps when the Bills go unbalanced line (extra tackle on the end).
  15. This thread drags painfully on... Its been 3 years. The Bills CLEARLY have a strategy that on their team in their vision, the RB position is going to be handled by a couple of capable backs on their rookie contracts and drafted in the middle rounds. They are going to only need said backs to handle a running game that does JUST ENOUGH to create balance for their passing game. That's ALL they are looking for. If they so happen to find a speed to the edge guy for cheap in FA (Breida) they'll use him as part of the plan or in the mix as well. Singletary, even with his faults of not being speedy and occasional fumbling issues (note this year that 2 of his fumbles are on pass receptions as he is literally stepping out of bounds) is the best of the 3 backs on this team and deserves to get the most carries of the 3. Much of fan's frustration with him has proven to be misguided based on avg yards before contact being one of the lowest in the league in Buffalo. That's almost entirely on the O-line. It's been displayed on plenty of film breakdowns AND statistically. With the team now finally trying to utilize some O-line lateral motion and get Brieda in there and out to the edge occasionally, here's hoping they've found the right balance to make this COMPLIMENTARY RUNNING GAME work. That is all they intend to have here, and Singletary is piece that works just fine into that plan. There is no "Singletary Conundrum" as it were.
  16. Bass should get even more credit for kicking in our winds and general state of weather. He's been amazing and I'm pretty sure he has the strongest leg in the game.
  17. My first realization if Josh's amazing ability was the Miami game at the end of 2018 when he accounted for 5 TD's I believe. Being at the game you could see that if Josh would just be able to improve his consistency, pre-snap recognition and accuracy (which he has in spades), he would be nearly indefensible on plays where the protection holds up, or if the defense is in man coverage, and also that the defense would always have to worry about the entire field on every single play. That has come to fruition and we all get to see and enjoy the rewards!
  18. Already there... just no titles yet, which is a bit more of a team thing.
  19. His speed in the Jets game tells me he's no longer feeling the effects
  20. All players make bad plays yes. This year Edmunds has done what he's supposed to far more often than not. What ratio that is I am not certain but it doesn't seem close. It's not some sort of balanced 50/50 type of thing that is turned into some sort of manipulation based agenda video. Yipes! Regarding the video reviews If you watch the entire review shows (not the clip example but the long review) they do weekly for the games, they cover the entirety in their discussions, not just the good plays. And of course the All 22 allows us all to do that too. The vast vast majority of educated Bills fans that I typically interact with both here in in real life have noted/acknowledged the major change in Edmunds game this season. I get caught up too often trying to prove things to people that either aren't willing to learn, not willing to acknowledge facts or evidence, etc. I need to stop that futile effort at times and just accept that people are gonna people. Regarding the cap I don't concern myself with such things because I have nothing to add, and no expertise there. I can tell you that this is a sound regime (McBeane if you will) who utilizes all the information and resources available to them to make honest judgments of their players, and when they do err, they don't hang on too long and are quick to correct their course. Whatever they end up offering Tremaine will more than likely be a good representation of his worth in the current market. And of course, there's room for creativity in cap management situations.
  21. Thanks... I wonder what it would take? 3 hops maybe? 😄
  22. Kidding aside, do you know if 2 separate taps of one foot counts as 2 feet in?
  23. It's a tough one...It almost looks to me like he taps his left foot 2 times and then tries to kind of sweep or drag his right but maybe fails there. Does 2 hops on one foot in bounds count? I'm not sure I've witnessed that before lol.
  24. OMG seriously with the "he's just not" ? Classic. Boy I am convinced then!. And no I don't think you could put together a video from THIS SEASON that would reflect Edmunds as a poor player. In fact I know you cannot. While all players have misses in every game, he's had very few this season. I tried to explain why I am right here and that I do value statistics that are used properly. That apparently meant very little to you and now you are focused on game changing plays such as INTS and FF's I presume? I don't feel like I tried to make a point that he has been exceptional there in that area... Tackles for loss though? Definitely been seeing more of those from him when his assignment allows him to come forward... but more that his game is absolutely transformed from previous seasons and he is now doing things that the Bills likely want/need to see him doing at that position in this defense. I wish you had something you could validate or demonstrate here but - you just don't
  25. This is the NFL and the 2021 Bills are not the '85 Bears so yes, the Patriots are a true concern for us especially with Bill B running the show. The Bills will need to maintain their mental calm and play fairly mistake free football in order to get a victory vs. the hated Pats. I've said it before that player for player, we are a better team but they play very sound football and you just can't count them out with that coach. Jones is playing quite well but we still have the much better QB regardless, and thats a factor. In the end in will likely come down to the turnover battle as is often the case.
