This was once a much more valid thread topic than it has become as Edmunds has proven to be very consistent and productive this season. The fact that it came back up because Klein played a nice game filling in today ( it’s great to have good depth though!) is kinda silly. Edmunds can do a lot more sideline to sideline then what Klein can do, and that’s a big part of this defensive scheme.

- Miami has a pretty solid defense as we saw 2 weeks ago - Ravens are flawed just like the rest of the AFC. They could beat or lose to anyone. - Brissett is tough but just very methodical about everything he does. They are hurting at QB.

Poyer plays SAFETY in the NFL in a zone scheme that funnels everything underneath. He is likely having his best year of his career this season and playing at or near an all-pro level. What an awful example to use. I agree 100% with the shakiness in Joe Busc film analysis in general , however. 😉

I think what folks might be getting at a bit here is - in Warner's breakdowns of Josh's really good games (from last season), Warner does indeed sound extremely luke warm on Josh as a whole and I remember making a mental note of that and wondering why he sounded like that. I am pretty sure its because his very early analysis of Josh from like 2018 was that he could NEVER improve some of his issues. So its one of those Josh has blown up his narrative things. It's hard for people (even good people like Kurt) to be humble enough to give in to their previous narratives.

I doubt it was your intent with this thread Dave McBride, but look you've brought ALL of the "I was right when I claimed x months ago that the Bills we pretenders and won't even make the playoffs and should have done x/y/z" out of the woodwork. Its a shame. Coulda been a reasonable discussion. Maybe it still can. Can the Patriots match the talent of this Bills team? No. Its not that close. And sorry but I strongly disagree that Mac Jones is anywhere near the prospect that Joe Burrow is. Could the Pats beat the Bills with a sound game plan and execution? Sure. Absolutely. That concern is legit and we'll see soon! I feel confident we'll get things right and take care of them but it won't be a cakewalk by any means.

I wanted a guard too by the deadline today... So when its speculated or reported that Beane reached out to every legitimate potential suitor for a trade at that position (Beane has shown that he always does his due diligence in this area) that would be an upgrade and got no bites, that's a Buffalo Bills problem that we need to lament? Just making sure I have this right... Also, someone list all the guard trades that occurred today that the Bills "missed out on" so I can be mad that we should have offered more. And no, that one the Jets got would not have been an upgrade. Basically what I am saying is its quite likely the Bills tried to upgrade that position today.

Nonsense on cb#2. On a team with a top franchise QB, you pay one corner. Our #2 (Wallace with Jackson backing him) have been MORE than serviceable for that model, especially with how much $ we have allocated in D-line, left Tackle, and future WR $ coming for Diggs. Levi is solid, even though he's unspectacular. And he knows the communications and disguises of this scheme and how to execute them at a high level.
