  1. He benefitted from our defensive schemes that allowed him to get to the QB. He had a really good year. Let him test the market. There may just be somebody out there who wants to pay him 17 million a year. I doubt it. With Harrison and Ed coming back, I'm not sure we need him. For that matter, I say we cut loose Star. Not worth $10 million any more. We have Vincent Taylor ready to play too. But then again, we had a top 2 defense. Glad it's not my call.
  2. I forgot about that guy. He looks like he could be a crazy hard-hitting hybrid linebacker/safety/special teams player. We also grabbed a safety from Miami, who may turn out to be a great one. Jaquan Johnson, nearly had a pick in the playoff game. They had a good draft....Ed, Cody, Singletary, Knox, Joseph, Johnson, Sweeney, and that other Johnson the DE. Nobody got cut. I'm looking forward to the offseason.
  3. That's absurd. But so is the call that removed 6 points from the scoreboard the other day. The refs decided they knew that that kid didn't make a mistake. He didn't mean to break the rules and cost his team another 6 points. The guy screwed up. In life, when you screw up, you pay for it. Maybe he should have gone to confession on Monday, or apologized to his teammates for being an airhead. But the rule clearly states that the ball was live and we fell on it and scored. After the extra point it would be 23-0. When Houston got off a play after the clock expired, the referee realized that Watson MEANT TO call for the snap in time, so he was allowed the extra second to get it done. It's probability and outcome. It's "Heaven Can Wait". When Cody Ford legally blocked that guy, the ref knew that, in Ford's heart he was thinking about committing an infraction, so he decided to penalize him for that. I'm shocked that they allowed Brady's pick six to count the other night. It's clear that he did not intend to throw the ball to the Tennessee player, and should have instead been given a 99 yard touchdown pass....because that's what Brady had in his heart when he dropped back and threw it to the wrong team.
  4. I get where you're going. Watching that game, and the 3 key calls that contributed to our loss, and going through history the examples of horrible calls....those things can wear on your mind and cause feelings like this. We all expect the worse. Whenever we have a big play, I always look for the "flag" sign at the bottom of the screen. I understand. I don't think you've lost your credibility. You just need a couple more days. You'll be fine. You're a Bills fan. We're all in this together, man.
  5. The guy screwed up. When you screw up, you need to pay the price for that. Touchdown. I get that they didn't want to determine the outcome of the game by giving us the touchdown. But that's what should have happened. I felt a little sad for the guy when we had the points, that I'd rather we earn them by playing football. But now that we lost the game, I'm pretty pissed they whiffed on this call.
  6. I had just tuned in to see Irvin's comments. Next came Mooch, now they are focused on the Patriots.
  7. Irvin says that Hopkins scores 3 tds on T. White today. I thought the other guys would laugh him off, since T White hasn't given up any touchdowns yet this season. But no, Mariucci says he'll go for 115 yards and 3 scores. I hope we shut them down and move on. These guys make me wanna puke, then shout. Where's the respect? There is none. Not from these two idiots.
  8. I was referring to 3 games in a row with opposite calls or missed calls on Face Mask infractions. Against the Steelers, they called one on Edmunds that just didn't happen at all. Against New England they missed one on Josh that should have given us half the distance to the goal, and more time to tie the game. Yesterday they whiffed on one on our WR, while noticing an illegal block. They miss calls all the time, but I was curious about the trend to screw up face mask calls, each one to our disadvantage.
  9. 3 games in a row with bad calls or non-calls an Face Mask infractions.
  10. He has obviously helped the Sabres goalies improve their dancing skills.
  11. I went to a preseason game in Pittsburgh many years ago. It looked like a sellout, but there were pockets of empty seats here and there. So I wandered around watching the game from different angles (it was against the Bears). At one point the Bears ran a kick back for a td, and I was in the end zone. The PAT was good, and I'm not sure what happened, maybe they forgot to put up the net, but I looked up and the ball was coming straight to me....I mean, it was going to hit me in the chest. I couldn't believe it....but the girl in front of me reached up and slapped it, and some dude a couple rows ahead of me got the ball. It was weird. I think it was the same girl that was sitting by Virgil the other night. Had to be. I cried.
  12. To quote my boss, lives in Dallas, loves his team, in a text after the game: “Good game. Congratulations. You have a really good team.”
  13. Isn't Chris Johnson the punt catcher? No, wait. Wait, Watkins? DGB was the number one football recruit in America coming out of high school. What happened? Seantrel Henderson was also the number one recruit coming out of high school.
  14. I threw my shoe and put a hole in the wall. Morris fumbled the ball while he was in the air. We recovered. Ruled no fumble. 15 on Toomay for bumping the ref. Nottingham up the middle for 50 on the next play. jerry Bergman was the ref. Ralph said he would never work another Bills game. He was fined, but Bergman never worked another Bills game.
  15. If the hands to the face was on Phillips touching Prescott, The flag was out before the hand was within a yard of his face. I just watched it on replay.
  16. When we were approaching the draft, I theorized that we were sandbagging and going for Lamar. But I think they got the guy they wanted. And, thanks to Cleveland not taking Chubb, he dropped to Denver, and we only had to give up one of our first rounders to get Josh Allen. Excellent. We used that pick and another to trade up for Edmunds. Excellent. How would you like to be the guy who traded up for Trubisky? They gave up the 3rd pick, #67, #111, and a 3rd rounder in the next draft.....to move up one slot. I don't think San Fran was going to draft Trubisky. By the way, the 49ers got their tight end, George Kittle, with the 146th pick. Why didn't we draft that guy? It's all a crap shoot. I know there is absolutely nothing original about that statement. Jason Peters was an UDFA tight end from Arkansas. Life goes on.
  17. I recognized McLaughlin when he came on the field and made the tying field goal. Told my son this would be on the board within seconds. I thought about posting it, but I knew I was already way back in line.....sort of like when Springsteen tickets go on sale.
  18. Need to run more. Eventually Singletary will bust one for 20. They completely abandoned the run. And the kicker needs to make that 34 yarder. It's just a bit beyond the extra point kick. They never called the Browns for holding. They were doing that all day long.
  19. 9 snaps, 3 tackles including a tackle for loss. How'd Star do?
  20. Vincent Taylor had 3 tackles on 9 snaps, including one for a loss. That's a good showing replacing Peko.
  21. At least triplets. Maybe conjoined quadruplets.
  22. I read somewhere that Vincent Taylor was considered the best DL on Miami last year, and it wasn't clear why he was waived. He's 6'3", 311, and had a couple sacks last year for the Phins. There's a reason they took him, let's see what he can do. He might be an answer. Peko hasn't really been that effective.
  23. Take way that fluke 69 yard run and the Wentz scrambles, and it wasn't horrible. They made some good plays, but the Philly line pushed our guys around more than usual. On the 69 yard run, it was as if our guys were the o's in the way of the x's on the diagram.
