  1. I remember watching when Josh was picked. I had told my buddy "the Bills have picked out their guy, and they're gonna get him no matter what it takes." I think they did the same thing when they moved up to get Dawkins and Knox. I believe they have a guy they want in this draft, probably one in each round, and they will do what it takes to get him. If they have to move up, they will do that. If he's there at #30, depending on the situation, they may move down a bit to get him. But they'll get him. Any thoughts on who "their guy" might be?
  2. Boy that was a bad one. They had some bad judgment. Whitner, Youboty, Ko Simpson. But they did somehow get Kyle Williams in the 5th.
  3. These are intentional signings. We have added an element to the run game. Speed. I watched his highlights. He's super fast. Somebody said we did nothing about the edge position. Obada is an upgrade. Dude is a rock, who had more sacks in 39% of playing time last year than anybody on our team. Epenesa's second half was really good. Hughes is good. We have an interior rush thanks to the return of Star. Let's see who falls to #19, or if Beane trades up to get Kwity Paye or somebody like that. We don't have a lot of needs. We kept our CB2 and Dane Jackson is coming on up. I do believe we'll address that early in the draft. Assante Samuel Jr? Horn? Lots of candidates.
  4. Yes. Now we have a speed guy, a moves guy, and a power guy. We are a pass first team, and this adds some element of danger to our running attack, should we ever need it.
  5. Free country, right? Free to trash a signing by a guy who put this team together. Are you guys nuts? This looks like a perfect fit for the Bills. He's not from Carolina. He's from Africa. How the hell did he go from being an abandoned 10 year old to where he is today? I am proud of myself when I can do 20 pushups. Come on, man.
  6. Never heard of him. Scanned this thread. I understand the Carolina jokes. Hardy har. We have a pretty good team, eh? After all the shifty maneuvers Beane has pulled off so far this year, suddenly people are questioning this one. I'm just gonna keep reading about the team, doing pointless mocks, drinking coffee, and getting excited. Plus: he has long arms, which means he can reach for the check at Duff's. I find it interesting that we all know everybody's salaries, but it's nobody's business what I make. Which, FYI, is less than the NFL vet minimum.
  7. Reggie? He was great, but does he have anything left?
  8. If Etienne is there, they should take him. He can add an explosion to the RB position that we do not have. Otherwise, I'd say take the best player that fits a specific need. If there is an edge guy who they feel can make an impact right away, take him. If there is a great offensive lineman....well, that's what they thought they had in Ford. Ford may still work out. We just don't know yet. He has the "traits," but it's likely the injuries have impacted him, and if he's healthy maybe he'll turn into the road grader they had in mind. However, with our pass happy offense, you need your linemen to be good pass blockers. I will say this: they know more about every available player than any of us. Gotta trust the process. I've always been a draft nut, but looking back there have been choices that I'd never heard of that blossomed. Fina...never heard of him. Henry Jones? nope. When they chose Whitner, I nearly broke a wall with a shoe. Turned out he was a better pick than Leinert. Point is, nowadays we all have access to film and highlights of just about every player. But we don't get to do the interviews and to dig deep. I think they look for character above everything....because the top 250 football players are all really good athletes. The difference is whether or not they fit the culture. Sorry I rambled. I'm pretty sure nobody read it anyway. No big deal.
  9. I love it. Mitch won 29 games with the Bears. He's got talent. He's started 50 games. He's our backup. Josh ain't going anywhere. I wish the tight end talk would end. We scored 500 points without featuring a tight end. Knox has "traits." He's gonna be just fine. They may take a guy in the draft. We're better than we were. Can't wait till draft day.
  10. What the....hey, he was chosen ahead of Mahomes. Maybe we'll find out why.
  11. Did anybody hear Joe Marino saying we should sign Ross Cockrell? Maybe he'd like to come back.
  12. Jerry Rice was bringing it when he was 50 years old! How old was Lofton when we got him? Come on, man. Dude's a professional football player. I think Lofton was 33 or 34 when we got him.
  13. Quinn Meinerz is a beast. He'll probably go in the late 2nd or early 3rd. He dominated at the Senior Bowl, and is a Division III guy. Reminds me of that small school lineman who is on Tampa now...what's his name? Ali Marpet from Hofstra. I think he'll be an asset. I hope we take him, if he's still there at the end of the 3rd.
  14. He must have a huge ego, playing with the twitter tease and all that. I think he would have been a perfect short term guy for our team, but I think we are planning on being a long term success here. Immediately after hearing about his deal, I'm betting Beane moved on with the goal of making this a better team. I told my wife he can use the extra few million to buy a really comfortable chair to sit in as he watches the Bills win the Super Bowl.
  15. Not our money, so if Beane wants to lay it out like that and can keep things rocking, I say go for it. He'd only have to play 50% of the snaps, and he just might return to form. Hell, I could do a lot of things when I was 32.
  16. Depends on who is there when we pick. A true difference-maker may drop in our laps. However, the talent between 25-40 is pretty interchangeable. So if somebody wants to jump into the end of the first and is willing to be generous, let's do it. You do lose the 5th year of control once you leave the first round, though. That may be a factor.
  17. He's a very good player. I'd like to keep the homegrown guys on the team. Beane says Milano has earned the right to hit the market. With the salary cap limitations, it is possible that his best shot is to stay right here in Buffalo where he belongs.
  18. We need more speed. That's about it. KC was much faster. 8 yards became 50 or 60. They're fast and great. Hill had 206 yards in one quarter this year.
  19. You should put them on Stubhub.  They are going for well over $1000 each for lower bowl seats.  Or stand by the parking lot and get ready for offers.  You're gonna come out ahead.  I'm in St. Louis, and I'd drive over, but I don't have the dough for that.  Good luck, man.  Go Bills.

  20. Russell was on the cover of SI, transferring to Wisconsin. I'm a Wisconsin fan, and I watched what he did for that team. He was great. I was lobbying a bit for them to take him, admittedly because I like Wisconsin. I thought they'd take him in the 3rd. He's a great talent and leader, and the Bills, along with 30 other teams, passed on him. It's happened before. It'll happen again. Regarding Mahomes? He landed in the perfect spot. We got an all-pro DB and Josh Allen out of that capital. I love Mahomes, but I do think we did okay.
  21. I have been on his case for weeks. They should just cut him. I like the idea of Ogletree. Why is he available?
  22. Relax. We’re winning. We get the ball. We’re 5-2 and winning.
