  1. I'll take him. He's great. I also like that kid from Florida Atlantic, Singletary. Memphis has a guy or two. There are many choices, right? We need somebody though.
  2. Earlier in that game, the Titans missed a field goal attempt, and we got called for defensive holding. On a field goal attempt. A little later they make a field goal. I don't remember the exact details.....except..... Defensive holding on a field goal attempt.
  3. I wanted the Bills to pick "their guy." And I assume that was Josh Allen. I figured that they knew a lot more than any of us. I'm glad they got him. Give him protection, and RB and some targets. Let's go.
  4. I like the San Diego guy. Austin has never achieved. He's the size of Mickey Rivers. Should have stuck with baseball.
  5. Was surfing for that. He has to go. He's like 8 million in cap space. The dude must go. Or renegotiate if he loves it here so much.
  6. I thought Edmunds had a great first year. He led the team in tackles, made the defensive calls, and shows tremendous speed and hitting ability. Maybe I'm just a guy watching football and not breaking down every play in slo-mo. I'm thrilled he's on our team, and I think he's a fixture. Can't wait to see what happens when Milano, Taron Johnson, the free agent signings, and people like Levi Wallace continue to improve. I also think Josh is going to be a superstar. Foster is a stud, Zay will get better, and they'll find Josh some new targets. Clay will be gone and replaced by a person who runs routes and catches footballs. Let's go.
  7. More I read about Risner, the more I like him. If we can trade down with one of those panicky groups in need of a QB, we can get Risner and snag another good lineman in round 2.
  8. I hated that call. I also hated the call on Robey-Coleman when he blew up the RB in the backfield earlier in the game. It was a bang-bang play and he just bombed the guy, got called for hit to the head, although I'm not sure how he could have avoided it. Instead of 3rd and 16 or so, the ball was moved 15 yards from the line of scrimmage and NE got a first down. In a game of shifting field position, that call may have been huge. Brady is better than Goff. That's probably the end of the story.
  9. Did you see Edelman's moves? Unbelievable. I'm not sure how you cover that guy. I thought they'd put Barron on him.
  10. Wade's defense was outstanding. However, Belichick's was better. If the Rams had any offense at all, they might have won the game.
  11. We are still irrelevant. We're like the last guy picked in the draft. Nobody cares enough about the Buffalo Bills to even examine them. I'll bet the guy was working down the list and forgot to put us in there. He's at #29 and says, "Oh, yeah. The Bills. Well they're not as bad as the Jets. Hey, let's just drop them in here. Who cares?"
  12. He's been a disappointment. He was the top rated high school player when he signed at South Carolina. He played great, blew up a guy in a bowl game. But he's never dominated at Houston. He had 9 sacks last year, career high is 9.5. He didn't make first or second team All Pro. Not worth the money you guys mentioned. I'd get a tackle and a center and more for the same money.
  13. I didn't like the signing. $10 million a year seemed ridiculous to me. I still think it's too much for a guy who just stands there and ties up two blockers. New England proved with their game plan that you can double team Star and devise schemes to take out the other people in the front 6 or 7, and they ran right through us. Brady had a terrible game, but the game plan called for them to run all over us. Which they did. Star was taking up two blockers, but the other ones were busy clearing space for the RB's to waltz on through. I hardly ever noticed Star during any of the games. However, the overall defense did finish 2nd in the league. This was while missing rookie Taron Johnson for half the year, and Milano for several games. They had a really good defense this year. Imagine how good they'll be if the offense can do its job and take time off the clock while scoring points.
  14. I like McVay, but I think anybody but Jeff Fisher would have been successful with the talent he inherited in LA. Todd Gurley, Aaron Donald, Goff, and they went out and built a good offensive line. Fisher may go down as the symbol of mediocrity. They fired him when he was tied for the most losses in history for a head coach. Had he stayed one more game he would own the record. I think Dallas is going to beat the Rams this week. The Rams started slipping when Cooper Kupp got hurt.
  15. Draftek has us taking him in the 5th round. I'm good with that. Until 5 minutes ago, I'd never heard of the guy. Which means absolutely nothing.
  16. He had to go. The special teams make up a huge part of the game. They were bad. Epically bad. The offense was historically bad till the Jets game. Josh brought them around. The defense had great numbers, especially considering the amount of time they spent on the field. The OL rarely opened holes for the running game. Our running stats are skewed by Josh's running. Take out his runs, and we may have been worst in the league. I don't have the time nor the desire to verify that. You hire a coordinator and trust him to get the job done. If he wanted better players, all he had to do was ask. I was watching the LSU/UCF game yesterday, and Devin White, the best linebacker in college football, was making tackles on special teams. Marv used to make every player except Kelly available for special teams.
  17. Should have beaten the Texans, Miami in Miami, and the Jets at home. 9-7 easy. Miss the playoffs again, draft 18th or something. I'm okay with the final results, the growth shown. Especially the UDFAs Levi Wallace and Foster. I think Josh shows tremendous upside. We'll get Milano back. Shaq showed promise. I think the future looks pretty good for this team.
  18. Draft your LT in the first round, move Dawkins to RT. Teller will become a very good guard. That means we need a center and a guard. I don't know who's available, but let's not go Marv-crazy and do what he did back then, when he dropped nearly 100 million on 2 mediocre guards.
  19. Denzel Ward made the Pro Bowl. He was the 4th pick in the first round. When Cleveland chose Ward, Denver canceled the trade with us, took Bradley Chubb....which enabled us to NOT have to give up both 1st round picks to get Josh Allen.....and as a result we were able to get Tremaine Edmunds later on. So, thank you Cleveland. We got Allen, Edmunds, and now Levi Wallace....rated higher than Ward. (Cleveland didn't have anything to do with our signing Wallace, of course, but I thank them anyway.) Taron Johnson was having a solid year till he got hurt. So, I'd say our defensive backfield is pretty damn good.
  20. I think Gregg has finally found his comfort zone. He has a quarterback who is as intense as he, and he really is a motivator. I'd keep Gregg Williams if I were the Browns. McCarthy is mediocre.
  21. Good timing, brother. You're like the dude who didn't vote for Babe Ruth into the Hall of Fame.
