Well, time to enjoy a big slice of Flacco pie.

The Bills And The NFL Need To Take Care of Their People.

Thanks. I was mostly responding to this specific sentiment you expressed: "No matter how rich a company is, they pay the lowest they can to achieve the ends to a mean." It may be true for many companies in many fields, but it hasn't been my experience in the job market over the past 25+ years. Yes, there's obviously a profit motive in market economies, but many companies manage to achieve this while valuing their employees via above-market compensation, great benefits and a culture that provides opportunities for growth and advancement. It's not all top-hat capitalist overlords and serfs/slaves. As for truly crappy employers? Yes, they exist and unskilled employees often get shafted. That's why I'm pro-union and continue to vote that way. -
I don't know. They had 3rd and 19. They aren't likely to convert and then you give ball back to a white hot Houston offense with 35 seconds. Get to the locker room and make some adjustments. Don't make things worse at that moment.

How does the game delay impact the players routines?

I disagree. That's really up to the company's leadership. There are good and bad businesses to work for from an employee perspective. I'm a peon in the grand scheme of things, but my employer has a 7.5 hour workday, I get 4 weeks paid vacation, another week of Care time, good healthcare, can take off anytime I need to on short notice, great office culture, etc. Good employees will flee a company that doesn't take care of them. -
That thread is pretty funny. Josh is living rent free in their heads. They've convinced themselves that Josh is some egomaniac douchebag creep, which couldn't be further from the truth about the kid.

The guy will be back to being an OC or QB coach within 3 years.

Love me some Shakir. Best YAC guy we've had in quite some time. He needs the ball more. Averaging 53.6 ypg over the last 10 and that includes the goose egg he put up against Dallas. He's arrived as a top end No. 3 receiver, in my opinion.

I consider myself a pretty big Bills fan, but for whatever reason, I had never seen an actual image of Baylon Spector before he entered the game on Sunday. Lets just say, it wasn't what I expected.

Sure, I'm hoping for the best with Von, but Tre White was 26 when he injured his ACL in 2021. Von Miller turns 35 in March.
-
Because he seemingly lost 20% of his athleticism overnight. There's no "techniquing" your way to success at edge rusher when you lack baseline NFL athleticism. Maybe Von makes a miraculous recovery between now and training camp and can provide us with a little juice as a situational pass rusher in 2024. But he clearly isn't physically capable of really competing on the field of play at this time.

And I used to be able to dunk a basketball, but now I can't jump over the phonebook. No offense or blame to Von or Beane or whatever, but Father Time remains undefeated.

Steelers @ Bills. Monday, January 15th at 4:30pm.

A couple of early season blowout losses and a three game stretch with Mitch Trubisky will do that to you. They are +37 over the past three weeks. -
FinHeaven seems like a wonderful, very evolved space, with plenty of nuanced takes like this one from their postgame thread:

Don't get me wrong, I agree to a point. I'm not scared of Rudolph, but I think you're understating his accomplishments over the past three weeks. He threw for 290 (124 rating) and 274 (112.2 rating) in consecutive weeks against the Bengals and Seahawks - two teams who were playing for their playoff lives. Then, in a must win game on the road in terrible weather against the Ravens' backups, he delivered a 90% completion, 115 rating game to push the Steelers into the playoffs. He hasn't thrown a pick this year, so I don't think you can count on him giving the game to us. The guy is more than capable of doing what Mac Jones did to us earlier in the season if we are not 100% locked in on Sunday. -

Agree, Logic. And Rudolph has been one of the best QBs in the league over the past three weeks. We have to protect the ball and get the running game going or this could easily turn into an ugly Sunday. -
Shakir has arrived. More Khalil, less Gabe.

I punt it or go for the first down. I don't like the Bass option here. He's lost my confidence.

What a turnaround!!!

If you can't trust your franchise QB there to make the smart play, then you are in big trouble.

Anyone else have a good feeling about the Titans vs. Jags?
TheBrownBear replied to JMM's topic in The Stadium Wall
No. I fully expect the Steelers and Jags to win against teams with zero to play for. We are going to need to beat Miami tomorrow, and trust me, they are going to be hungry for the division title and the chance to knock us out of the postseason. Hold onto your hats, boys. It's gonna be a wild one. -
Here's what you do then: First play of the game, run a bootleg, but have one of our TEs or o-lineman (or multiple blockers) peel off and tackle the first defender and pin him to the ground. Then, Josh can casually hurdle them without fear of injury. We take the 10 yard penalty but guarantee the win.
