  1. Still can't throw for 300 yards
  2. I'm not ready to call him a bust, but it is frustrating to think that we'd be 9-5 if he'd come down with that ball in Carolina.
  3. 1983 Monday Night Football against the Jets. Broke the record for most arrests and ejections in Rich Stadium history. https://www.upi.com/Archives/1983/10/04/Thirty-nine-people-were-arrested-and-another-375-fans-were/4885434088000/ My Dad was supposed to babysit me that night (it was shortly before my 5th birthday) while my Mom was at work. He got a call around dinnertime from my uncle saying he had two extra tickets. He knew my Mom would be furious that he took a 4 year old to a 9:00pm game, but he couldn't pass it up. Left a note on the kitchen table and off we went. I remember walking through the tunnel and seeing the bright green turf for the first time and it was almost sparkling from the lights. Stadium was absolutely packed and very rowdy. The Bills got destroyed from the start, but I fell in love with Bills football that day because of the experience. My uncle's friend was smashed before we entered the stadium. Sometime during the first half he left to use the bathroom and never came back. After the game we wandered around the stadium looking for him and we finally found him asleep on a toilet...lol. Oh yeah, Mom was pissed when we got home!!!!
  4. Peterman. Let the kid play a few games and settle in. See if he's worth keeping around as a backup. Taylor is done in Buffalo. It makes zero sense to keep playing him at this point. Sunday was his last stand and he absolutely came out firing blanks.
  5. I agree wholeheartedly with the OP. It's really an unforgiveable disgusting act by Gronk. He basically curbstomped White and honestly could have seriously injured him (or worse). The Trevathan hit was nasty, but at least it was arguably in the course of actual gameplay. Gronk's was just a sickening cheapshot. Kermit Washington / Rudy T level stuff. Really no different than walking up to a random person on the street and punching the back of their head as hard as possible. I honestly will root for Gronk to suffer a career ending injury from this point forward. Something I've never thought or said about any player in the past.
  6. Much easier divisions. Better talent than in Buffalo.
  7. Hope springs eternal... lol.
  8. Let Peterman finish out the season and draft a qb. We aren't bringing Tyrod back so why bother playing him.
  9. Yep. I called us the '83 Bills a couple of weeks ago. Looks like we jumped straight to '84.
  10. Rosen is the best pure passer in college football by a mile, but I still question his leadership and decision-making skills. Incredibly immobile too.
  11. I suspect he won't be terrible, maybe mediocre. I really won't make any judgment until I see him play a few games. Even if he sucks and we get killed, I won't really care since that is what happened in the previous two weeks under Tyrod. Then we'll know we need to draft a new QB and that we're looking at a complete rebuild. Which is what I expected when the new GM and coach were hired anyway.
  12. Tyrod, say what you will about his qb skills, is a legit playmaker with his legs. I would love to see us find a way to use him in a non qb role.
  13. Actually, Los Angeles would be a good place to start NP. Will be a small crowd, maybe even majority Bills fans, mediocre opponent. I'd rather he get his first action there than at home against Pats.
  14. They won't win another game if they continue the trend of the last two weeks.
  15. We certainly were today. We were healthy, added a top flight WR, and still found ourselves down 47-3 in our own house. This was '84-'85 level ineptitude on display today.
  16. Geez... This offense is frickin pathetic. Scratch that, this entire team is pathetic from top to bottom.
  17. He was a complete rockstar from day one.
  18. The goalposts coming down in '88 against the Jets. You just knew it was the start of something special. Second favorite was the '02 Miami snow game. It was my wife's (gf at the time) first Bills game. She was a born and raised San Diegan and had never even spent time in the snow. It was the quintessential Buffalo Bills experience (tailgate, booze, snow, comeback against divisional rival, Kelly whooping it up on the sideline, etc.) and she absolutely loved it!
  19. It's much more like the 1983 Bills. 1st year head coach (Stephenson) with an aging roster, veteran qb (Fergy) and dynamic rb (Cribs). Start 5-2, then blown out by divisional opponent. Next week they came home and beat the Saints to move to 6-3. Then went on to lose 5 of 7 and finish up at 8-8.
  20. We have gone on two game winning streaks after each of our losses. Lets hope that trend continues.
  21. I've been waiting for a post like OP's. He's clearly hot blooded and wants to know what the playoffs are, and wants the Bills to show him. In my opinion, fixing our oline and dline issues, is an urgent, urgent emergency.
  22. 1) Tackling 2) Turnovers (bad luck?) 3) Offensive line 4) Defensive line 5) Offensive playcalling We mostly just sucked all around yesterday. Pretty much a collective team loss. But the poor tackling and the offensive line getting absolutely mauled stood out. I don't think our defensive line would have looked quite as bad (statistically) if our linebackers and DBs had tackled like they had been up until last night.
  23. I agree. JFC, what's with all these chicken littles? Can you imagine these folks in real life? Must be some real winners. Bills are still in good shape at 5-3, which is far better than I had them pegged before the season began. Looking forward to next Sunday to see what kind of backbone we have.
  24. The tackling was probably half the problem tonight. It was just miserable. The Jets played with energy and we looked lethargic. Simple as that.
  25. It's one game guys. I'll give them this mulligan. We've got Benjamin suiting up next week in front of the home crowd. Season is far from over.
