  1. There really isn’t another team in the league I “like” — certainly not in the AFC, and even in the NFC I’m “meh” on the majority of them. I live in North Carolina so I suppose I “should” pull for the Panthers, but I remember their Super Bowl against Denver and I was rooting for the Broncos. When I watch games not involving the Bills my rooting interests fall in the order of (a) which result benefits Buffalo, (b) do I have a bet on the game, and (c) how are my fantasy teams impacted.
  2. Yeah, I was just going to post something similar. I don’t use this term often but we are “blessed” to have this young man as our QB for hopefully the next 10+ years. You can’t even really appreciate some of those throws from the normal TV viewing angle...seeing them from the end zone view brings that “wow” factor.
  3. For those of you predicting the Bills will have more losses this season than last, I have a few questions: 1. How many games under McDermott have the Bills lost in which they were the favorite going in? 2. In how many games will the Bills be underdogs this season? 3. In how many games will the Bills' opponent have the better starting QB? I'll hang up and listen.
  4. Couple of things: 1 - that’s just wrong on so many levels 2 - upgrade your taste in friends
  5. Bourbon Street is fun if you’re in college or your twenties. After that it’s disgusting. Restaurants are awesome and architecture is cool.
  6. The conspiracy theory bs is strong in this thread. There’s no “catering” to any player or team with respect to the NFL schedule.
  7. Basically 1/4 of their games are in prime time...not going to pull out any disrespect card here. I think it’s a nice mix.
  8. Never heard anyone with this take before. Kenny was always one of the sharpest, wittiest anchors on the network. But to each his own. Wondering how/why you felt “insulted” by a broadcaster’s sarcastic humor?
  9. Love McKittrick working with the punter. That guy really wants the PR job.
  10. I haven't gotten excited about the schedule release since @Jay_Fixit convinced me it was stupid.
  11. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. One of the top Hail Mary plays of all time. We know who the better team is.
  12. What you need to realize is that Scott is the sort of fan who, after last year's amazing season, watched the AFC Championship game and the only thought crossing his mind was, "I knew they weren't good enough."
  13. The Browns' roster is very talented; I haven't heard anyone argue otherwise. It takes more than a collection of talent to become a great team, however. It's also tough when the most important player on that roster -- the QB -- is a pretty large step below the two guys he's looking up at. Trust me, I hope you're wrong also.
  14. I was about to say...it seems not many share your sentiment that the Browns are now ahead of the Bills. Edited for emphasis. The gap between Pat/Josh and Baker is greater than some realize, and that's why those teams will continue to stay ahead of the Browns.
  15. If Rodgers resolves his issues with the Packers does that mean he becomes "gruntled?"
  16. By the way...EJ Manuel 9.7. Take any RAS-to-NFL-success correlation with a large grain of salt. As noted within, however, there is much to be said for the ability of an organization to cultivate and develop that athleticism.
  17. McD says it all the time and players actually believe it -- come to Buffalo and become the best version of yourself.
  18. That was a fun watch. Couple of things struck me: - I forgot Miami used to have fans that filled the stadium and actually cheered for THEIR team. - Marino showed flashes obviously but really didn’t play all that well; Fergie clearly outplayed him. Two INTs, should have had a third, fumbled two snaps inside the 5 and was lucky to keep possession, and short-hopped a number of throws. People see the 4 TDs and think he lit it up but not really. - I also forgot Miami missed two FG attempts in OT. - The Bills had a really, really good offense.
  19. I’ll just add here that Hamlin is a very “mature” rookie — played five seasons in college in a P5 conference. Also was projected to be drafted much earlier; not sure what happened there. I think he has a great shot to see significant time.
  20. Beane admitted he didn’t go into the draft expecting to draft two edge rushers so these three days certainly impacted the Bills’ roster construction. That said, they still clearly really like Addison. Beane said he got a text from Addison after the draft about being ready to mentor the young guys. They already saved money on Addison. I simply think the puzzle pieces line up that Addison, Hughes, Epenesa, Rousseau, and Basham will all be on this roster in September, with several of them being flexible enough to rotate inside on rush downs and keep everyone fresh.
  21. Several of these guys can move inside on rush downs. There are enough snaps for everyone and having 5 DEs fresh is a good thing.
  22. Did you actually form this thought and then type it?
