  1. Except that’s not how odds making works. An 8-2 Bills squad playing at home will not be an underdog to any team in the league.
  2. Of course, and it’s the team’s job to view it that way. Not the fans’.
  3. Watson was done two years ago.
  4. Not if the Bills are 8-2 going in, which is certainly possible since the next three games are Seattle, Miami, and Indy.
  5. …who expected that? The Fish are technically only 2.5 games back but the Bills hold the tiebreaker. They get Tua back next week but they are not a team to be feared The Jests are a certifiable mess after losing yet again; whatever “boost” Woody Johnson was hoping to gain by firing Saleh has backfired. It’s always interesting to look at how the season progresses when various teams are pumped up (Fish, Jests) in the offseason and others are “downgraded” (Bills). After running through an early season gauntlet the path to a 5th consecutive division title looks remarkably clear. 5 home (Fish, Chiefs, 49ers, Pats, Jets) and 5 road (Seattle, Colts, Rams, Detroit, Pats) games left. They’ll be favored in all but the game at Detroit. Hell of a job by Beane retooling this roster on the fly, and then seeing what he needed to do to make it even better and taking advantage of a dumpster fire in Cleveland to grab Cooper. It is a super fun time to be a Bills fan.
  6. Cheers and Seinfeld are two shows I can still watch at any time, and completely forget that they are pre-internet and smartphone. They truly stand the test of time.
  7. Rapp and Hamlin are the secondary — which is exactly what I said. Dorian has speed. Bernard has speed. The Bills’ secondary lacks speed, not their overall D. Which is EXACTLY what I said.
  8. So let’s examine this. The DL doesn’t need “speed” and the Bills’ LBs are young and fast. So what was he talking about?
  9. I heard those comments as well. He was talking about the secondary and it’s hard to argue. No elite athletes outside of Taron. That’s why intelligence in the scheme is so important.
  10. So…first of all…most NFL games are “close” — which is why we should be all the more impressed by what the Bills have done over the past 4+ seasons, racking up the best regular season point differential by a mile. The Bills have been better than everyone at winning the games they should win, comfortably. The Titans don’t belong in the same conversation as the Bills, aside from them both being NFL franchises. The game could be “close” but if it is, that goes against recent trends.
  11. I prefer to be succinct.
  12. Sorry if I missed this elsewhere...been out of the country and not visiting the site as much. Got a chance to re-watch the MNF game yesterday and noticed that Keon made two key catches on the GW drive in the 4th quarter. That was nice to see and hopefully means more to come...particularly with Cooper now occupying the D's attention.
  13. Of those three only Denver could have been considered “classic” before the change, but their logo and color scheme were sort of clownish. The Bills have a classic look, like Dallas, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, etc. I too hope they don’t make any changes that are too significant.
  14. Like sands through the hourglass, these are the days of our lives…
  15. A new factory of sadness? Haslam’s a dick. Cleveland’s mayor is not happy. May that franchise continue to rot.
  16. It’s rare you see a trade in which it is essentially impossible (Mikey Pajamas excluded) to find a downside. Proven performer ✅ Not over-the-hill ✅ Motivated to get another contract ✅ Fills a need ✅ Cheap! ✅ Well done, Beane.
  17. What freaking WR would want to play for the trust fund baby misogynist Watson? Cooper just got the biggest football present of his life.
  18. Ok, we get it after three or four posts. Mikey Pajamas doesn’t like the trade. Got it, dude.
  19. Who are the Jests going to sign next…Rodgers’ ayahuasca salesman?
  20. “Ready, fire, aim!” Just End The Season
  21. Rarely does a poster contradict himself so succinctly, so quickly. The Hail Mary was “so obvious” that a HOF QB agreed with protecting the sidelines. Well done, you. That TD was not on McD. Of course the players were back there in preparation for the throw. They didn’t make the play they should have.
  22. And THIS is the only relevant point. You never know when one could snap…but when they do, the results are disastrous. That’s a problem.
  23. ...you get a game like last night. We are fortunate that nothing like this has happened in a long time, and also lucky it happened now. I'm not about to sift through the threads of gloom and doom this week. The Bills will be fine, they're a very good team, and they simply ran into a motivated buzz saw last night. See you after Houston. Have a great week everybody. Go Bills!
  24. I thought about this “first read” statistic some more. Unless they know the play call, who is determining what the QB’s first read was? Seems a bit sketchy to me.
