Training Camp Practice Monday, August 9 (10 am)
eball replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only "injury" I'm concerned about at this point is Dawkins. He clearly had enough of a reaction to Covid that it has kept him from participating for multiple weeks. Stamina, conditioning, strength could all be affected. We have a month until the season starts but I hope he can get out there soon. -

Tasker & Brown don't know the cap rules
eball replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chris Brown is a Bills’ shill who loves to hear himself speak, yet rarely says anything enlightening. Steve Tasker was a wonderful ST ace and pretty good WR. -

I assumed all along Dion was vaccinated, so if that is not the case you can put me in the “worried” column as well. Glad Spencer Brown is getting a lot of reps. -
The Greatest 77 Seconds in Buffalo Bills Football
eball replied to T&C's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was there as well, with a date. Prior to Odomes’ block I’d say the atmosphere was closer to a morgue…Denver was just gashing us. After that, though, it was bedlam. -

I thought one of the players who tested positive was vaccinated. Either your wording is confusing to me or you think Dion wasn’t vaccinated? -
I also go back to the concept of the HOF being, "can you tell the complete story of the NFL without mentioning this guy?" It's not a perfect standard but a pretty good one, and it allows for some of the stats discrepancy some get hung up on.
-
The HOF voters are less swayed by that stuff than you think. Namath made the most famous guarantee in the history of the NFL and backed it up. He was "fame" personified while he was playing. Romo's fame has essentially come in the broadcast booth. Kurt Warner -- whose career regular season stats are similar to Romo's -- stepped it up big time in the playoffs, and that's why he's in the HOF.
-
Nah, he was a "very good" regular season QB who never won anything. His story is somewhat special because of the path he took to the NFL but that doesn't make him a HOFer. He's Kurt Warner without the playoff success and Super Bowl appearances, which to me is not enough.

Perhaps it's my anti-Cowboy bias but I just don't see Romo as a HOFer.

How many people don't like Allen's new deal?
eball replied to mjd1001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel like anyone making the “he only did it for one year” argument still falls into the category of those who never liked the pick in the first place. There is, quite literally, NO evidence to suggest what Josh did last season, or the consistent improvement he has made since coming into the league, is unsustainable or a “flash in the pan.” The best I’ve heard some come up with is that he may struggle with fans in the stands — which cracks me up. Over his first two seasons Josh actually played better on the road than at home. If you’re not over-the-moon about this team-flexibility-friendly deal to lock down an elite QB through 2028 I have no idea what is going through your mind. Well, I have some idea…and I want no part of it. -
How long til Josh Allen proposes to Brittney?
eball replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They look and seem to act as though they are best friends as well as a couple. I see no reason why marriage isn’t coming soon, although as dialed in as Josh is I don’t doubt he’ll wait until after the Bills’ season Super Bowl championship to propose. -
Josh is walking around the stadium playing catch with kids in the stands. I friggin’ love our QB.

Not when the QB is a legitimate threat to run. The DL can’t be reckless. -
Questions for those of us who endured the drought
eball replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
“The moment” for me was the game at Atlanta in W3 or W4 of 2017. I knew then that McD was special. Then, seeing Josh in his rookie season, I didn’t care about the stats and could see the superstar waiting to emerge. I am loving this ride. -

Totally not the point. I'm referring to a meathead coach trying to "instill toughness" in his team...what better chance than in the first preseason game against a legit SB contender? My concern is not "handling" the Lions -- the game is irrelevant. My apprehension is in fringe NFL players trying to please their maniacal coach by pushing the limits.

Look no further than that abomination of a game last night. Both kickers stunk. -
You have a point.
