  1. I am decidedly NOT a "get off my lawn" guy but I am completely through with everyone feeling the need to "record" every friggin' event with their phone. Enjoy the goddamn moment, people. Nobody gives a crap when you post your stupid video on FB, Twitter, or Insta, and you'll probably look at it again once for the rest of your miserable life.
  2. Yeah...you won’t find me buying that hat.
  3. Wait, you mean Allen isn't sitting out OTAs because he wants the biggest contract in NFL history?
  4. Ok, so what you're basically saying is you don't want to answer the question, because anyone making a swap of Allen for Mahomes is obviously basing it upon how they believe the two QBs will fare, respectively, in the future. Is anyone saying Allen has accomplished what Mahomes has so far? Of course not!
  5. I don't think Phil did anything "dumb" yesterday...he found himself in essentially a match play scenario with Brooks, while also keeping an eye on what Shrek was doing. He played a smart, conservative style and a couple of shots got away from him but he was very solid. He knew pretty early in the round that the other guys potentially chasing him were having their own issues.
  6. That’s my thinking as well. 2020 was the first year Allen had a legitimate #1 WR. Mahomes has had Hill and Kelce — two of the best receivers in the game — his entire career. That takes nothing away from what Mahomes has accomplished but it provides some perspective. 2021 is going to be a very interesting season for a number of reasons, but I believe the budding “Allen vs. Mahomes” debate will get a lot more heated. The question of “who’s the better QB” aside, I have no doubt Josh landed in the perfect place for him and for the team, and it appears Mahomes did as well. Flip-flop them and I really don’t know that anyone can predict what would have happened.
  7. Tiger knows his body won’t allow him to compete on the main tour in his 50s. It was miraculous he won at Augusta at 43. The new injuries only, unfortunately, sealed the deal.
  8. I don’t think there’s any question Tiger was rooting for Phil. They are more alike in their appreciation for the history of the game than they are different. It was a magical weekend. If Phil had only embraced the mental side of the game when he was younger who knows what his stats would look like next to Tiger’s. He has as much talent as anyone who has ever played the game.
  9. Actually, these sorts of discussions in sports ARE all about “what ifs” and the like. Yes, we can only see what has occurred, but we can openly wonder what would happen in different circumstances. My opinion is that if you asked all NFL GMs the question of whether they wanted Pat Mahomes or Josh Allen right now, going forward, it would not be 32-0.
  10. “So far” is the key here. Right now I think it’s a much closer proposition than you do.
  11. I really don’t believe that is a valid conclusion at this point. Josh still hasn’t reached his ceiling; has Mahomes?
  12. Me too. No sympathy for their fans. They have Ohio State who is ALWAYS a title contender. Not the NFL but ask anyone from Ohio who their favorite sports team is and you know what answer you’ll get.
  13. I don't know what media you are following but I haven't seen anyone "ignoring" the Brownies. They've been called a contender by everyone, with the only caveat being the play of Mayfield.
  14. Kudos to posters for the laughs in this thread. I chuckled aloud at several posts. If you stay at a Red Carpet Inn you do so at your own risk (and perhaps the risk of others).
  15. I read Jim Kubiak’s analysis of Josh Allen every week last season and don’t recall a single example of Josh “not making a correct pre-snap read.” Now, if you’re truly a student of the game and QB play can explain what you’re talking about I’ll listen, but this sounds to me like somebody just making stuff up.
  16. An amazingly good and underrated flick. Grodin was brilliant. RIP
  17. Being willing to give up a body part for a seasonal trophy is the epitome of stupidity.
  18. Whatever that means. He’s a meathead. Sure, the guys might be “fired up” but how is his game planning? His in-game adjustments? His clock and game day management? You can’t just run around saying your guys will knock everyone out of the game. His statements are moronic. I predict a flameout within two seasons.
  19. Hard to argue with this. After Mahomes you can throw the next five in a bag and shake it up.
  20. Dan Campbell makes meatheads say, "man, that guy is a meathead."
  21. There really isn’t another team in the league I “like” — certainly not in the AFC, and even in the NFC I’m “meh” on the majority of them. I live in North Carolina so I suppose I “should” pull for the Panthers, but I remember their Super Bowl against Denver and I was rooting for the Broncos. When I watch games not involving the Bills my rooting interests fall in the order of (a) which result benefits Buffalo, (b) do I have a bet on the game, and (c) how are my fantasy teams impacted.
  22. Yeah, I was just going to post something similar. I don’t use this term often but we are “blessed” to have this young man as our QB for hopefully the next 10+ years. You can’t even really appreciate some of those throws from the normal TV viewing angle...seeing them from the end zone view brings that “wow” factor.
  23. For those of you predicting the Bills will have more losses this season than last, I have a few questions: 1. How many games under McDermott have the Bills lost in which they were the favorite going in? 2. In how many games will the Bills be underdogs this season? 3. In how many games will the Bills' opponent have the better starting QB? I'll hang up and listen.
  24. Couple of things: 1 - that’s just wrong on so many levels 2 - upgrade your taste in friends
  25. Bourbon Street is fun if you’re in college or your twenties. After that it’s disgusting. Restaurants are awesome and architecture is cool.
