  1. I would think by now folks would understand that the Bills don’t view RB as a need. How many different ways does Beane need to say it? Their run blocking was atrocious. They have three very viable backs on the roster.
  2. I was pleased the Pats*** couldn’t get one of the top four...they settled for the least athletic, lowest ceiling guy of the bunch.
  3. First of all, nice response. My opinion stems from how different the league is now then it was when Polian ruled the roost. I’ve heard Polian opine on many NFL radio shows over the past decade and I’m not sure he has the same sort of success in this era. Beane and McDermott have built a top-notch organization that appears primed to be a force for years to come. There is also a level of internal respect that draws in talented people. I think it’s pretty well known that Polian was a “my way or the highway” kind of guy. And just so we’re clear: Polian didn’t draft Jim Kelly and he didn’t draft Bruce Smith. He’s a HOF GM and deserves tons of credit for the Bills’ Super Bowl teams, but there’s always a bit of luck involved as well. I could not possibly be more impressed with Brandon Beane.
  4. Somebody tell Don Beebe - he has a school set up and everything. He will be crushed.
  5. Who is this year’s DaRick Rogers? Inquiring minds want to know!
  6. Well said. Cracks me up reading the complainers around here. This is the most competent, professional front office the Bills have EVER had — and yes, I include the Polian era.
  7. I know it’s going to be said again and again, but this kid is LONG. I think Jeremiah said it best when he said offensive linemen will think they have him blocked but they don’t because of that incredible reach and length. He is going to be a pocket disrupter. Is it a risky pick because of the limited action and year off? Sure, I guess, but “tape don’t lie” and 35 sacks/TFL in one P5 season is sick. I’m excited about this kid’s future.
  8. I’ll just say that the two picks directly after Buffalo went EDGE. Trust the process.
  9. Glad you’ve found your nit to pick. Congrats!
  10. There's no way in hell this is a legitimate post. Oh wait -- you're in Hickory, NC? Never mind.
  11. You've completely missed the point. Just because someone is being paid millions doesn't mean they should be criticized because they didn't perform as well while injured.
  12. So if the Bills trade out of the pick do they just tell Joe to go home?
  13. Oh there’s no question they are well paid...that doesn’t have anything to do with the physical toll taken on their bodies (with the known long-term implications).
  14. I fully appreciate that war metaphors are somewhat frowned upon when talking about a sport but that said, these guys truly are “warriors” and fans should really think twice before spewing their uneducated, knee-jerk criticisms of professional athletes. What they go through, and push themselves through, is remarkable.
  15. Did he also announce he’s joining the professional eating circuit?
  16. And to think, Beane stole a third rounder for Tyrod.
  17. It's a fun read. Nobody but the Bills (and perhaps a few other teams) bothered to dig beneath the surface, as I've said many times, to understand his relative newness to the QB position and overall lack of reps, combined with his heart, leadership, intelligence, and desire.
  18. The players wanted it, it’s as simple as that. It’s not going to have any significant impact on the game despite what Tommy Boy says. I don’t really care one way or the other but if you make me pick I’d say I like it.
  19. But did he have a strange erotic journey from Milan to Minsk?
  20. What Bills fan “wanted Allen gone” after his rookie season? No sane one. As for Losman, I do plan to read the article and count me in the camp who believe the Bills’ coaching staff did him no favors. He was a confident kid and it appears that instead of mentoring him the Bills felt they needed to “knock him down a peg” — hence Troy Vincent breaking his leg in practice. I won’t go so far as to say his career would have been significantly different but he was dealt a bad hand being drafted by that dysfunctional organization. He always came across as a really good dude and he completely embraced the city of Buffalo while he was here; I’m happy he has found a home and a calling.
  21. Small steps. This will no doubt encourage vaccinations.
