Colin Cowherd's QB Dominoes for the 2021 Off-Season
eball replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You may as well have titled this thread "QB predictions from a dude I saw at the post office" because they'd have just as much credibility. -
Ground up and in the freezer.

Well aren't we all glad we don't need to wonder whether or not your guess is accurate? -
Did you play football, at any level?

Jessica Pegula currently playing 4th round match at Australian Open!

Nice run. Really looked like she lost steam in the middle of the second set. -

Well, Serena is back in another semi, pretty easily dispatching the #2 seed Halep. Osaka as the #3 is in as well (they'll face each other). Pegula vs. Brady at 9 tonight! -
Yes. This is, in my opinion, the quintessential “tough guy” play of Josh’s career. 4th down, fumbled snap, refuses to quit. It pretty much signaled his “arrival” on the national stage as well.

What the hell are you talking about? Gug’s use of “young woman” was clearly a descriptor — just like someone defending Josh Allen would say “this young man’s accomplishments.” Good grief, people are nuts these days. -

No, I think your problem is lack of self awareness. -
Ugh. So sad. 38 is way too young.

Yeah I took a glance at the scores and it looks like she has been cruising. I'm also glad she's not one of those "grunters." Jesus. -
The girlfriend/wife cold weather nonsense is annoying. I mean, what the hell? These guys are pulling down millions upon millions of dollars and their wags can't be "inconvenienced" with a few months of cold weather during the football season? Just horrible. I am definitely NOT a "keep your woman quiet" kind of guy but this really rubs me the wrong way.

Congrats to Jess! Definitely a shot for her to get to the semifinals...but then the #1 (and home favorite) Barty likely awaits... -
Just to clarify my earlier points regarding Darnold — it’s not that I think he doesn’t want to get better. I’m sure he does. It’s that based upon what I’ve observed I don’t think he has the internal drive to do what’s necessary to get there, whereas Josh has that in spades. I want to be a scratch golfer, but my handicap is 14 and hasn’t gone down in a year. You know why? Because I’m not practicing every day, studying my swing, going to the range several times a week and putting in the work. There are days when I’m playing like a single-digit handicap and days when I’m playing like a 20. I have the ability; I’ll get the results I want when I decide to dedicate the time to it. Something needs to happen to Darnold to make him commit to — you guessed it — the PROCESS of becoming a star quarterback. All the excuses in the world about different coaches and different receivers doesn’t impact how a player dedicates himself to his craft.

Oh, Sweet Jesus, for the love of god, NO. The Bills' current uniforms are the BEST they've ever had and are classic. The red helmets were stupid when they were introduced and they'd be awful now. Stop living in the past, man!

Hey, maybe Beane can sign him on the cheap. Had to be said.

Yes. And my point was that orthopedic foot injuries are extremely scary for professional athletes -- particularly skill players. Trust me, nobody in the Chefs' organization is looking at this procedure the same way they'd view a shoulder scope or even an ACL repair. That doesn't mean it will end badly. I'd like to see an Allen-Mahomes rivalry for the next 10 years.

The Jets probably won't be 2-14 again but I'd expect something similar to Miami two years ago...around 5 wins and a bit of a tougher out, but they still have talent issues all around. I've fallen off the Miami bandwagon a bit given Flores' questionable coaching last season (and the fact Josh Allen owns them). It will be hard for them to improve upon their 10-win season, in my opinion. The Pats*** are a curious organization. If they don't get a QB they'll be no better than a .500 team. In sum, Miami will (I'm sure) get a lot of pre-season talk as a contender but if you're handicapping the division the Bills should be favored in all six division games in 2021.
