Yeah, I guess I just took for granted that people weren't predicting a QB who looks like poop in PS will suddenly turn it on in the RS. I'm really referring not to Trubisky but to Wilson, Tua, and Mac Jones -- and fans of those teams who are predicting greatness. Wilson's PS numbers look amazing, but they are a predictor of absolutely nothing when the real lights come on.

The truth? I believe there is no rhyme or reason whatsoever for how they decide who gets ST for free. My mom has gotten it two years in a row without asking for anything. I didn't get it last year but got the email this year. There is literally no factor that leads me to believe there is a way to predict who will or won't get the "golden ticket" email. But as others have noted, even if you don't get the email you can call and likely get discounts that (more than) offset the cost.

LOL -- as if that actually happened. In reality, most diehard fans realize this is entertainment and a product over which they have no control so they make a decision to root for the team and hope the decisions are correct, rather than continuously bash the decision-makers and say "I told you so" when those decisions don't work out. Let's see -- do I gripe and complain about what my team is doing even though nothing I do or say changes anything, or do I acknowledge the flaws but still maintain a sense of hopeful optimism? I love the discussions over football decisions, strategy, and coaching. I've never wanted a board of shameless homers with blinders on. I just don't like all of the negativity about things over which a person has no control. "Blaming" fans for the on-field product? That's a silly statement. I blame certain fans for embarking on crusades or belittling others who may not follow the game as closely as they do. In my personal situation I was a ST holder for 27 seasons -- living out of state (GA, then NC) for the last 24 of them -- and it was getting harder and harder to unload tickets to the games I couldn't attend (5-6 per year). In December of 2016 -- after more than a year and a half of the Rex Ryan fiasco -- I finally said "enough." I wrote a letter to the Pegulas expressing my displeasure and decided from now on I'll buy tickets to the games I want to attend and save myself the hassle and frustration of out of state season tickets for a floundering franchise. It didn't make me less of a fan, it was a simple business decision. If I lived in Buffalo I'd have kept my tickets -- period -- and I'd have been at every game. My good friends -- both here in NC, and those in Buffalo -- are still astounded I held on to tickets while living down as here as long as I did. It's true, I didn't renew after the McDermott and Beane hirings were announced, but my mind had been made up and that money was going to be spent elsewhere. Those weren't proven guys and for all I knew the same crap was going to continue, but that never changed the reality I'll be a passionate Bills fan for as long as I'm breathing and the team stays in WNY. Getting back to the point of the OP's comments, I too have noticed and am enjoying a newfound acknowledgment from others of the Bills' success. My "1BFLO" vanity license plate gets far fewer snickers than it used to. Go Bills.

Your criticism is a little bit ridiculous. The PLAYERS vote on this list, not the media, not coaches, not fans. The players. The Bills have been on national TV quite a bit the past two seasons. Diggs at #11, seeing the list of remaining players as well as those he surpassed, is an awesome accomplishment for him, not a slight. Wake up.

McD said practices this week will start to resemble regular season practices, to begin getting players (particularly rookies and née guys) used to that routine.

Last year the NFC East was a hot mess. This year it will be better. WFT is a good club; they could win 10 or 11 behind that defense and Fitzy leading the way; I predict he will finally see the playoffs. If Dak can get and stay healthy the Cowboys will be in the mix. The Giants are a mystery to me; Jones is entering his “pivotal” year 3 but Joe Judge might lose that team with his douchiness. One thing is pretty clear; the Iggles will suck.

It is very difficult to compare eras because so much is different now (read: internet). In the 90s I lived in Buffalo and the team was great, but it was all local news and hype (along with ESPN). Josh Allen truly seems poised for greatness even Jim Kelly never experienced. When you may have the best QB on the planet (sorry, Pat and Aaron) it makes sense to be optimistic.

Hate the Jets but feel horribly when anyone's season is potentially cut short by an injury. Best wishes to Mr. Lawson.

This McDermott fellow is getting good at the coaching thing…I think he has a bright future.

The Bills moved up and down the field. They got stalled in the red zone. And yes, McD got conservative calling for FGs when they needed TDs.
