Tell that to Tre. What Gronk did wasn’t a “football move” or in the “heat of competition.” The play was over and he deliberately tried to take a man’s livelihood away. Eff him, his family, and their business.
-
Aside from the double murders, OJ was a hell of a running back.
-
Exactly. One of the dirtiest plays I’ve ever seen taking his arm (in a hard brace) to the back of Tre’s neck. Eff him. Stay the hell away from my team.

Do you really want a rookie Offensive Coordinator ?

Ok, so I feel like crap now. Apparently The Senator is no longer with us, which saddens me. RIP. Now, McD, go get Mike Leach. 20-0, baby!!!!!!!! -

I would be 100% cool with that. He’s an aggressive SOB. -

It would still be the K-gun…the original was named for Keith McKellar. Now we have Knox. -

@HOUSE you make a good point. I was initially all aboard the “keep Dorsey!” train, but continuity and familiarity are not always the best answers to move forward. I am not concerned that McD will try to bring in an OC to turn this into a run-centric offense. He made his point to Daboll that the Bills needed to be able to run in order to keep teams honest, but I believe he has embraced today’s NFL offense and knows he can’t waste Allen’s talents. The bottom line is that we don’t know what Dorsey’s playcalling philosophy would be. Or maybe we do — Daboll is known for welcoming input, so perhaps we’ve already seen a bit of what Dorsey thinks. He was a very smart player as a QB. I’m sure this is a part of the interview/discussion process. Part of me thinks Dorsey would be foolish not to want to stay in Buffalo and continue to work with Josh…if things go well then in two years he’d be a HC candidate. But he might feel as though Allen would get all the credit and he wants to make a name for himself coaching a less established offense — and let’s face it, the Giants have been bad, but they do have some nice pieces. The downside of bringing in someone new is that Josh (and the team) has to learn a new offense — terminology, etc. — which always brings a learning curve. The personality of who is brought in matters a great deal as well — we don’t want a my-way-or-the-highway kind of guy. Josh should be a big part of designing the offense and determining what plays are run each week. Truth be told, I think Josh is smart enough to call his own plays, with a coach he would meet with between drives to look at the film and make adjustments. Wouldn’t that be something. End of the day, I agree with your overall premise that we can’t afford to go backwards and waste the talents of #17. -
Josh Allen's 4 year progression displayed through one stat?

We picked up his 5th year option, right? -

Well, I think Dan Hanzus summed up the season pretty well for me

Yep. Dan Marino never thought he'd only see one Super Bowl appearance. That said, even Dan Marino is no Josh Allen. -

I don't have a problem with that summary of the season. We all know nothing is guaranteed going forward and this was a golden opportunity wasted. -
I read that article and just laughed at the two "coaches" who ranked Allen 3rd. What a joke. Allen saves coaches by turning nothing into something. The scouts and the personnel evaluators get it. Unfortunately, some people still cling to old "beliefs" that they don't want to let go of. Allen belongs, beyond a shadow of a doubt, in the same "tier" as Mahomes, Rodgers, and Brady.

Jordan Palmer interview about Josh Allen 1/27

I legitimately fear for our opponents next year. -
…if Denver snags Rodgers as many predict, then the teams listed above all have QBs who are head and shoulders above anything else the AFC has to offer. Imagine looking at your franchise and realizing you’re playing for the #7 seed from the get-go. Now, perhaps Fabio is the real deal in JAX…who knows. I suppose we need to give Zach a chance in NJ…but it’s the Jets. Carr’s a nice QB but not at the same level. Tannehill? McCorkle is a game manager and Tua is lazy. Pittsburgh is searching. Jury’s out on Baker but it’s not promising. No sign of Watson coming back. That leaves Indy and Carson… Man, it’s nice to know we’ve got our guy.
-
Agreed. I would expect any player actually voted in to attend. It IS an honor, even if a watered-down one. Josh was smart, too — no snark in his message, blaming it on needing to rest. We all know the real story.
-
Dude. They were ONE 4th down conversion at the 3-yard line vs. Tennessee away from the #1 seed THIS year.
-
The Bills are basically taking the Steelers approach, which has served Pittsburgh well for a hella long time. Everyone looking for the “splash” is going to be repeatedly disappointed in Beane. I’ll say it again — I have ZERO concerns about how Beane will continue to build and tweak the roster through the draft and with mid-level free agents, re-signing homegrown talent to good value deals and avoiding those “splashes” that more often than not are mistakes.
-
Yeah…this is really the only reason it makes sense. Agree that it benefits the Bills (from a year-to-year home field perspective) to have Mahomes facing Herbert, Rodgers, and Carr while Josh is beating up on Wilson, Tua, and McCorkle.

Some big time, prime time matchups on that schedule: Bills @ Bengals Bills @ Chiefs Bills @ Rams Bills @ Ravens Titans @ Bills Packers @ Bills Browns @ Bills I envision five prime time games when the schedule comes out. For me, travel to Baltimore and LA are almost a certainty.

Ken Dorsey - would he choose OC here or leave to be Daboll's OC?
eball replied to Heavy Kevi's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Dorsey has aspirations to go even farther (i.e., HC) then staying in Buffalo as the OC is by far the best career choice.
